Life Of Dar

Darya Abtahi

This is “Life of Dar”, a series of bad decisions that make great stories— a raw look into what it means to chase dreams, break cycles, and stay grounded as a 23-year-old in the music industry. I talk about life as a blonde Persian, dating, and all the chaos that comes with figuring it out in this generation... lots of dating... unfortunately.

    4: I’m Successful Because I’m Confident

I’m back in the studio with a summer full of stories: a reality TV opportunity, spontaneous trips, dating middle easterns for once, and a career reset. Behind the highlights, I’ve been burnt out and figuring out what deserves my energy. Inspired by Russ’s It’s All in Your Head, this episode is about finding my confidence again, even while I’m still figuring things out.

    4: I'm a Mentor?

Hamptons, Delaware, Dar is everywhere! My first New England summer adventure... This week's guest is one of my favorite people, Jordy B. Plot twist: I was her sorority big, but somehow we've become even closer after graduation than we ever were in college. From me crashing her Florida spring break, to visiting her hometown, to somehow already having Fourth of July traditions together, this friendship has truly had the best post-grad glow-up. Protein pitches, starting over my dating pool, understanding my 'why', and realizing theres pretty states other than California. Tune in to episode 7!

    4: Persian Version

I'm joined by my friend-turned-roommate Jolie as we officially enter our Upper East Side era. From how we met and ended up living together in NYC to post-grad, job hunting, and how New York has completely changed our outlook on life (and men), we're covering it all. Plus, we're spilling on the current roster: Raya, Artist Boy, Mr. Big, and a few other characters who probably shouldn't be getting this much airtime. Two Persian girls, one apartment, and absolutely no shortage of opinions. XOXO, Dar

4: Music is the Universal Language

A topic that is has been a part of me since I could speak! I am so happy to share this episode with a growing artist here in NYC, Nate Dailey, where we both share our love for the art, why we do it, and of course- Nate gives me commentary on my search for love in NYC.

    4: 23 and me

Cue the Birthday Song. Its Birthday Debrief time- the one episode per season that makes you question if I will ever stop celebrating my birthday for the whole month. (no!) The saying goes, 'New York or Nowhere' but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss home. A new chapter awaits. [I need an engineer fr for my headphone listeners]
