Honey From the Rock

Carrie Kintz

Discipleship with Jesus has highs and lows, joys and sorrows. Through the power of His person and His Word, He gives us honey from the rock: sweetness to help when life gets overwhelming. I hope you'll join me as we dig into the Word and grow closer to Him, learning to taste and see that the Lord is good, no matter what happens.

S2 Ep 6: The Goodness of God

Most of us have probably sung the song, "Goodness of God." But what do we do with the goodness of God when it seems suspiciously absent in our lives and overflowing in the lives of others? What if, in the midst of difficulty, or even in the joys of life, we have a skewed view of God's goodness. And what if, because He is actually God, He wants to help us see how His goodness has manifested in our lives? In today's episode, I'm sharing the journey I've been on to know the Lord's goodness in a deeper way. Not only through suffering, but also in the land of the living. And I'm challenging myself - and you - to pray the prayer of Moses in Exodus 33 this week: Now then, if I have found favor in Your sight in any way, please let me know Your ways so that I may know You, in order that I may find favor in Your sight...“If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. For how then can it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are on the face of the earth?” I truly believe that by seeking the Lord and asking Him to reveal His goodness to us, our spiritual eyes will be opened to see how the Lord has not only gone with us in our past, but how He is with us right now, and that He will continue with us in the future. I pray this episode encourages and challenges you in your discipleship walk with Jesus.  Scriptures Referenced: Exodus 33:12-20Matthew 7Psalm 27:13Galatians 6:17John 3:30You can find me on Instagram / Threads
