Reaching Nigeria’s Unreached: Samuel Ayodele Empowers Rural Pastors to Make Disciples and Plant Churches

Pastor Samuel Ayodele shares his journey from rural Nigeria, to a career in banking, to a challenge from Jesus to live as a true Kingdom person.  God’s call on his life led him to establish the Rural Pastors Network, an initiative that equips indigenous pastors in northern Nigeria with encouragement, training, resources, and vision for church planting among unreached people groups. He explains how he discovered a disconnect between churches and the communities they served, inspiring him to develop new ways of engaging unreached and Muslim-majority communities through practical, holistic development.  Throughout the episode, Samuel shares stories of miraculous healings, supernatural provision, and unexpected open doors that have advanced ministry in resistant communities. The conversation closes with practical encouragement from Pastor Samuel for young people to trust God to expand their influence.  His is a story of surrender, resilience, innovation, and hope—a reminder that God can use faithful obedience to bring transformation to individuals, churches, and entire communities. From Despair to Hope: Abrham Asres’ Pro-Life Ministry in Ethiopia

In Addis Ababa, Abrham Asres serves in the midst of immense needs, including children and teenagers living on the streets and women facing unplanned pregnancies. His work takes place amid a widespread abortion industry with few local Christian ministries offering alternatives for women in crisis. He shares how he seeks to meet women with conversation, practical help, housing, work opportunities, medical connections, prayer, and ongoing care for both mothers and children. Abrham knows pain and desperation firsthand. Orphaned as a child, drawn into destructive habits as a teenager, and nearly overcome by despair while alone in Sudan, he describes how God met him, gave him a new direction, and taught him to care for people in crisis. Today, supporting himself as an Uber driver, he responds when women, doctors, and families call for help. In this candid conversation, Abrham shares stories of mothers who chose life, children restored to families, and the ongoing need for Christians to pray, speak up, and provide compassionate, practical care. Set My People Free: Kamal Fahmi Challenges Apostasy and Blasphemy Laws

Kamal Fahmi grew up in a devout Sudanese Christian family but describes his early faith as cultural rather than personal. During his teenage years, a youth conference inspired by the "Jesus Revolution" led him to genuinely surrender his life to Christ and initiated a clear call to full-time ministry, beginning with a 20-month voyage aboard the Operation Mobilization ship Logos through Asia and the Middle East. Kamal went on to minister in Sudan for nearly two decades and later served for 15 years as OM's Middle East area coordinator. Throughout the region he witnessed firsthand the devastating toll of Islamic apostasy and blasphemy laws—believers imprisoned, tortured, or executed simply for changing their faith, including martyrs like Mehdi Dibaj in Iran. These experiences led Kamal to establish Set My People Free, an advocacy ministry appealing to the Arab League, EU, and UN for the religious freedoms guaranteed under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. While 11 countries still impose the death penalty for leaving Islam, Kamal notes progress such as Sudan’s abolition of its apostasy laws. Kamal urges listeners to pray, advocate, and use your resources to pressure governments—framing the cause as both a political battle for human rights and a spiritual battle for the persecuted church. Finding Home in Jesus: A Conversation with Bishop Yassir Eric

Bishop Yassir Eric grew up hostile to Christianity, viewing it as a foreign, Western religion. In this episode, he shares how Jesus met him through the miraculous healing of his cousin in a hospital. An eight‑hour late‑night conversation with Coptic believers led to a simple prayer expressing faith in Christ that began his lifelong journey of discipleship. Forced to flee for his life after coming to Christ, Yassir describes losing his community, finding a new spiritual family with German missionaries in Kenya, and eventually moving to Germany to study theology and plant churches.   Bishop Eric explains why leaving Islam is never just changing beliefs; it often means losing family, community, and identity. Many believers of Muslim background are deeply isolated and without a church home. The burden of this reality led to the formation of Ekkios, a non‑geographical global church network that connects believers of Muslim background across languages and regions. Along with challenging the church in the West to a higher Christology, he urges the global church to pray daily for the Muslim world, to welcome believers of Muslim background into genuine fellowship, and to trust that Jesus is building his church in the midst of war, suffering, and the long-standing conflicts in the Middle East and beyond.   Links: Ekkios on Facebook Ekkios Website The Ekkios App - access to resources Yassir Eric on the Global Anglican’s (Gafcom) site (scroll down a little) Email contact: info@ekkios.com An article about Bishop Yassir Eric in Christianity Today: I Was the Enemy Jesus Told You to Love Yassir’s Autobiography in German.
