    There's Beauty In The Thick Of It

    A lot of times we get so upset with God thinking He has forsaken us, that He doesn’t want us to be happy because of the bits and bouts of trouble we experience in this life. But that isn’t the truth, it’s the farthest from it. God cares about our happiness but not in the same ways that we do. God plays the long game. Think about it, He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, the author and finisher of our faith. Keeping this in mind, we have the understanding that He lives outside of time and can see the ending and that He is able to guide us in all truth because He knows our story because He wrote it. So He knows what is best for you and wants the best for you even if it goes against what you think is happiness.  In this episode we discuss the understanding that there really is beauty in the thick of it but we have to actually ask God to reveal it to us. In this you will gain a sense of clarity and relinquish control and anxiety because you now can see just how the Lord is working on your behalf! I am Ciceley Nicole, a new seminary student and  the host of Called to Christ where we are called from the culture to Christ. If you are looking for someone who is relatable who speaks from experience and won’t sugarcoat the truth, this podcast is for you.     Finding Certainty in Uncertainty

    What would you do if you knew that certainty could be found in the uncertainties of life?  Would you be confident in Christ even though what you see seems as though there is no way out? What if I told you that this confidence can happen as we keep our eyes on Christ. In this episode we will discuss finding certainty in uncertainty through the scriptures. We will be looking through the Psalm 23, Matthew 11:28-30 and 1 Kings 17. As well as a focus on Jesus and Peter walking on water in Matthew 14:25-31 and how this is a great visual for keeping our eyes on Jesus. In this you will gain a great sense of understanding on just how to find certainty in uncertainty.  This episode is for those of you who, like me, struggle with wanting to be in control of everything and feel as though it’s up to you to get things done.     Hearing The Voice Of God || Practical Steps to Grow Closer To God

    Many times I have heard the question, "How do we hear the voice of God?" Many times, I have asked this question myself. Everyone always gave me the basic answer - Go read your bible, which isn't a wrong answer, but when you have a burning desire to commune with the Lord personally, it feels like there something more missing. The Bible is our number one tool to hear the voice of God but what if I said that it is also our number one way to know the Character of God so when we build a relationship with Him we know how he speaks as well. In this episode we are exploring the ways in which God speaks outside of just reading the word, but in ways we have seen God speak to those in the Bible. If nothing is new under the sun, why would God stop talking to us the way that He did to those in the Bible? He hasn't! He still speaks and He speaks loudly, you just have to create space for God to do so!     Don't Die In The Wilderness || The Promised Land Isn't All It's Cracked Up To Be

    In this episode we take look at the gift of the Promised Land and how we get so caught up in this idea we have for it that we allow our expectations to override a description the Lord gave us. For them it was a land full of milk and honey, expect what they didn't know it would require conquering the land first to get it. Let's explore the idea of not allowing what we see in our promised land to keep us from trusting in God and what he has declared over our lives and remember that he will never leave us nor forsake us. SO why would he bring us through the wilderness to leave us to fend for ourselves in the promise land?

    As someone who has been walking this walk with God for a little while now, something I've dealt with for a while is juggling the thought of disappointing God because I feel like I'm not doing enough work for God.Sometimes I have to talk things out and I realized that I struggle because I've always allowed the words of those around me to triumph that of Christ's voice, or I allow the traditions that I learned in church to be what I felt drew me near to God. In this episode we discuss how to practically stop leaning on the voices of others and truly focus on the voice of the Lord for the direction in our lives.

    What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger || Breakups

    This episode was harder for me than I thought it would be. It wasn't really something I thought I'd share honestly. I actually avoided recording this episode for some days because it was bringing up old wounds that I thought I was okay with by now. I know if it was tough for me to talk about what I experienced, I know it is probably tough for those of you who have experienced something similar or even worse than what I did. I just want to tell you, you are not alone, at night you may be weary but JOY comes in the morning! Give the break up to God and let him heal you. Allow God to walk you through the grief.In this episode we discuss 5 ways to know whether or not that person you are with or were with are from God or not, using scripture and details from my personal experience from my dealings with a person I thought was from the Lord. I know Valentines Day may have been triggering to you, but I don't want that for you anymore.     What To Do In Your Single Season

    Honestly this episode couldn't have come at a better time. A lot of times we get so caught up in what we don't have that we forget to celebrate what we do have which is singleness. There is a beauty in singleness that I think we really over look due to FOMO, when in reality what if our timeline just doesn't match the Lord's for when our relationship status will go from single to dating to married. In this episode we discuss what to do with your singleness based upon the story of Ruth and the 5 stages of singleness. As another dateless Valentines Day goes by, I don't want you to get hung up on what you don't have anymore.
