    Send us Fan Mail What happens when you give a garden sensors, a computer, a camera, and the ability to make decisions? That’s the question behind my newest challenge. I’m building an AI-powered automated garden using a Raspberry Pi 4, Python, sensors, cameras, relays, pumps, fans, lights, and local large language models. But this isn’t a video where I’m pretending to already know how to build everything. I’m learning. The garden is the case study. The bigger challenge is learning how all of these individual pieces can work together to create one system. The vision is simple: Learn → Build → Document → Develop → Share. The Raspberry Pi will serve as the bridge between the physical garden and artificial intelligence. Sensors and cameras will collect information, the Raspberry Pi will process it, Python will provide the logic, and local AI will eventually add another layer of decision-making. The system will evolve as I learn. Over the next year, I’ll document the journey—from learning Python and setting up the Raspberry Pi to figuring out sensors, automation, AI, and the challenges that come with building something I don't fully understand yet. The ultimate goal? To see whether I can create a garden that can potentially operate with minimal human attention—and develop a blueprint that could eventually help someone else. This is bigger than gardening.
