How Proverbs 31 Led Me Back to Work

For thee last 3ish years, I believed that God was calling me to be a faithful Christian wife and mother focusing solely on my home and family. While those priorities remain deeply important to me, God began showing me it was time for me to start working again. Then one day when I was reading my Bible, Proverbs 31 convicted me even more. The Proverbs 31 woman wasn’t only caring for her family—she was also creating, serving, investing, buying, selling, and stewarding resources for the good of her household. As I studied Scripture, my understanding of biblical womanhood expanded and I was convicted even more for this time in my life. In this episode, I share my personal testimony of how God used Proverbs 31 to change my perspective on working for this time in my life, homemaking, and purpose. I’ll talk about the fears I had, the lessons I learned, and how I discovered that contributing financially to my family can be part of faithfully serving God right now—not competing with my role as a wife and mother. If you’ve ever wrestled with questions about homemaking, business, income, purpose, or balancing family life with work, I hope this conversation encourages you to seek God’s direction for your own season. We’ll discuss: • Proverbs 31 • The difference between cultural expectations and biblical truth • How work can support your family’s mission and should be a ministry • Finding freedom from guilt and comparison • Following God’s calling in your current season Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, a homeschooling mom, a business owner, or somewhere in between, this episode is an invitation to look at Proverbs 31 with fresh eyes and discover the freedom found in biblical stewardship. #ChristianHomemaker #Proverbs31Woman #FaithAndWork #ChristianMotherhood #HomeschoolMom #BiblicalWomanhood #WorkLessBeHomeMore #BackRoadLivingCompany

When the Day feeling like a Fail: Finding Jesus in the Middle of a Homemaker’s Hard Day

Some days, the laundry is overflowing, the homeschool lessons fall apart, attitudes are high (including yours), and you end the day wondering if you’re cut out for this calling at all. In this episode, we’re talking about those rough days — the ones where you feel behind, overwhelmed, discouraged, and maybe even a little defeated. As homemakers and homeschool mamas, our work is deeply spiritual. And when we’re exhausted and vulnerable, the enemy loves to whisper lies into our weaknesses: •“You’re failing your kids.” •“Other moms are doing this better.” •“You’re not patient enough.” •“You’re not organized enough.” •“You’re just not enough.” But Scripture tells us that our struggle isn’t just physical — it’s spiritual (see Book of Ephesians 6:12). The enemy attacks where we’re tired. He magnifies our insecurities. He preys on comparison and isolation. In this episode, we’ll walk through: •How to recognize spiritual warfare in everyday motherhood •Replacing lies with truth using Scripture •Practical ways to reset your heart on hard homeschool days •The power of prayer in the middle of chaos •Why obedience matters more than perfection We’ll anchor ourselves in truth from Book of Proverbs 31 — not as a pressure list, but as encouragement that faithful work in the home is kingdom work. If you’ve had a day where the math lesson ended in tears and dinner was late (again), this episode is your reminder: God called you here on purpose. He equips who He calls. And grace is available right in the middle of the mess. You are not failing. You are being refined. 💛
