    Christians Need to HATE More! | Romans 12:9 Explained

    What if I told you that the Bible actually commands Christians to hate? We're constantly reminded that Christians are supposed to love, show compassion, and accept others. But have we confused biblical love with the unconditional approval of everything people believe and do? In Romans 12:9, the Apostle Paul gives us a remarkable instruction: “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.” Notice that Paul connects genuine love with the hatred of evil and a firm commitment to what is good. In this episode of Unforsaken, I want to explore what Scripture actually teaches about love, hatred, morality, and the Christian's responsibility to stand firmly on God's Word, even when doing so conflicts with modern culture. We'll examine the things God explicitly says He hates, why loving someone doesn't require us to affirm everything they do, and how Christians should respond to difficult moral and cultural issues without compromising biblical truth. But there's another side to this discussion that we cannot ignore. It's easy to condemn the evil we see around us while overlooking the pride, dishonesty, bitterness, and hypocrisy in our own hearts. Romans 12 begins by commanding us to abhor evil, but it ends with an equally powerful instruction: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21) How do we stand against evil without becoming consumed by it?
