Living Intentionally in the Second Half of Life

Make the most of every opportunity: living intentionally in the second half of life. Ever looked at your life and thought, “Where did the time go?” In this episode, we'll share 3 ways to live intentionally in the second half of life and stop waiting for the “perfect time” to pursue what God has placed on your heart. If you’re over 50 and realizing you don’t want to spend the next 10, 20, or 30 years going through the motions, this one’s for you. Rooted in Ephesians 5:15-17, stop waiting for certainty God never promised, get intentional about where you invest your time and energy, and refuse to disqualify yourself because of your age. You’ll also hear the story of Caleb, who at eighty-five asked God for the mountain, not a quiet retirement, plus a simple 3-question exercise to find your next step this week. Are You Mourning Who You Used to Be?

A song, a photo, an old memory — and suddenly you're aching for a version of life that's already gone. In this episode, we ask a question that might sting a little: are you mourning who you used to be? We look at Lot's wife, who looked back and paid for it, and the Israelites, who longed for Egypt but forgot the chains that came with it. If you've ever caught yourself wishing you could go back, this episode will help you see why pressing forward — not backward — is where God's best for you is waiting. Life After 50In this episode:●      Why looking back can divide your heart from what God's doing now●      The danger of romanticizing a past God already delivered you from●      What Philippians 3:14 teaches about pressing toward what's ahead●      How to set your eyes on the hills instead of the pastScripture referenced: Philippians 3:14, Luke 17:32 (Remember Lot's wife), Numbers 14 (Israel longing for Egypt), Matthew 19:26Facebook: Life After 50 Community | FacebookApple Podcast: https://apple.co/4xZezaYYouTube: www.youtube.com/@VictoriaLT-o8vMy Products: stan.store/thewordwomanpodcast Contact Information: thewordwomanpodcast@gmail.com

Are You Procrastinating or Moving Forward (For Christian Women Over 50)

Are you procrastinating, or are you moving forward with what God has for you?Last week we talked about how God is preparing to introduce you to the world — and the question was simple: are you ready? This week, we go a layer deeper. It's easy to slip back into old habits, and it takes real effort to keep moving forward. We stop. We start. We hesitate. In this episode, we unpack what procrastination, hesitation, and self-sabotage really look like — and why they're not always intentional. Sometimes they show up unconsciously, in the little things we do without noticing. Other times, they're rooted in fear or self-doubt. We ask the harder question underneath it all: is your hesitation really about doubting God and the work He's doing in your life? While Scripture doesn't use the word "procrastination," it has plenty to say about diligence and taking prompt action. We look to Proverbs 6:6-8 and Proverbs 13:4 for a picture of quiet, faithful diligence — moving without needing to be pushed — plus 2 Timothy 1:7 on facing fear, and Galatians 6:9 on not giving up before the harvest. If you're a Christian woman over 50 who feels caught between starting and stalling, this episode is for you. Walk away with practical, faith-rooted steps to recognize self-sabotage, trust God's timing, and take the next diligent step forward. In this episode:●      Why hesitation is rarely just about the task — it's often about trust●      What self-sabotage really looks like in midlife and beyond●      What Proverbs 6:6-8 and Proverbs 13:4 teach us about diligence without being told●      Practical steps to move from stalling to steady, faithful action Scripture referenced:  Proverbs 6:6-8, Proverbs 13:4, 2 Timothy 1:7, Galatians 6:9My Products: stan.store/thewordwomanpodcastFacebook: Life After 50 Community | FacebookYouTube: www.youtube.com/@VictoriaLT-o8v

How to Trust God When You Don’t Know What to Do Next

Have you ever found yourself saying, “God, I don't know what to do next"? Maybe the life you thought you would have after 50 doesn't look anything like the life you're living now. You may be dealing with a major transition, loss, financial uncertainty, loneliness, retirement, relationship changes, or simply wondering where God is leading you in this new season. And when everything feels uncertain, trusting God can be difficult. In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about how to trust God when you don't know what to do next. Because trusting God doesn't mean you have all the answers. It doesn't mean you're never afraid or confused. Sometimes trusting God simply means saying, “Lord, I don't understand what You're doing, but I'm going to trust You with my next step. "We'll talk about how to stop feeling like you have to figure out your entire future and instead learn to seek God for the next step He wants you to take. If you're in a season where you're asking, “God, what's next for me?”, this episode is for you. In This Episode, We Talk About: Why it's difficult to trust God when your life feels uncertainWhy being confused doesn't mean you've lost your faithHow to be honest with God about your fears and disappointmentsThe difference between what you feel and what you know about GodWhy you don't need to know God's entire plan before taking your next stepHow to surrender the things you cannot controlWhat to do when you're praying but God seems silentHow to seek God's direction when you're entering a new season after 50Why your current circumstances don't mean God is finished with youHow to focus on your next step instead of worrying about your entire futureHow to trust God when you don't know what to do nextHow to trust GodTrusting God in difficult timesTrust God when life is uncertainHow to hear God's directionFinding God's directionWhat to do next in lifeTrusting God after 50Christian women over 50Finding purpose after 50God's plan for my lifeHow to know God's willTrusting God when life doesn't make senseStarting over after 50Finding direction in a new seasonA Question to Think About Instead of asking: "God, what is going to happen to me? "Try asking: "God, what is my next step? "You may not have answers for the next year, the next five years, or even the next few months. But God can give you enough direction for today. Scriptures Mentioned Proverbs 3:5–6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” Psalm 32:8“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go…” Isaiah 41:10“Fear thou not; for I am with thee…” Isaiah 40:31“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” Psalm 34:18“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart…” Your Next Step Take a few quiet minutes today and ask God: “Lord, what is my next step? "Don't ask Him to show you everything. Don't worry about figuring out your entire future. Just ask Him to show you what He wants you to do next. Then listen. And when you recognize the next step, trust Him enough to take it. A Prayer for This Season Father, I don't know what my future looks like, and honestly, sometimes that scares me. There are things happening in my life that I don't understand. There are things I wish You would change, and there are answers I've been waiting for. But today, I choose to trust You. Help me stop trying to figure everything out on my own. Give me wisdom to know what I should do next and the courage to take that step. When I feel afraid, remind me that You are with me. When I feel lost, remind me that You can direct my path. When I feel like it's too late for me, remind me that You are not finished with my story. I give You my fears, my questions, my future, and my next step. In Jesus Name, Amen. My Products: stan.store/thewordwomanpodcast Contact Information: thewordwomanpodcast@gmail.com

What Is My Purpose? Finding God's Calling for Women Over 50

Have you ever sat with the question, "What is my purpose?" — and felt like you were the only one still trying to figure it out? You're not. In this episode, we take a look at purpose from a biblical standpoint: what it means to truly know God, to love and glorify Him in everything we do, and to serve others through the gifts and talents He's already placed inside us. Through a story about faith in action — one that started with a widow and a willing heart — we explore how obedience opens the door to blessing, how our perspective shapes whether service feels like a burden or a joy, and how purpose was never meant to be complicated. It's found right where you already are. If you're a woman over 50 wondering what's next for this season of your life, this episode is for you.My Products: stan.store/thewordwomanpodcast My contact Information: thewordwomanpodcast@gmail.comfinding your purpose after 50, biblical purpose, God's calling for women, purpose in midlife, faith over 50, women's Christian podcast, second half of life, serving others through faith, hospitality starts at home, midlife over 50, obedience and blessing, walking in faith, Deuteronomy 6:5, 1 Corinthians 10:31
