More Than Your Flaws | Devotional Meditation for Women who are Learning to See Themselves Through the Eyes of the Artist

Welcome to Season 2 of She Rises Nourished. 🤍 We're beginning a new season by continuing a conversation that matters deeply: how we see ourselves. What if you've been standing too close to the mirror—focusing so intently on individual “flaws” that you've forgotten to see the whole woman God created? In this gentle morning devotional meditation, we'll slow down, breathe, and explore what it means to be God's workmanship—His poiēma, something intentionally made. Because your body carries so much more than an image. It carries your story. Your experiences. Your relationships. Your purpose. And maybe today isn't about changing what you see in the mirror. Maybe it's about learning to look again. Scripture Ephesians 2:10 — “For we are God's workmanship...” Psalm 139:14 — “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” 1 Samuel 16:7 — “People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” Morning Intention Today, I will look for what is good in me instead of searching for what is wrong with me. Go deeper: Listen to the Be Nourished 360 Podcast for practical conversations about nutrition, energy, habits, mindset, body image, and caring for yourself from the inside out. Or see the link attached to this podcast. And if this meditation encouraged you this morning, share it with a woman who may need the reminder too. Look again. You were never just a reflection.

Ep. 52 | The Mirror Isn't the Problem | Devotional Meditation for healing the way you see yourself.

A devotional meditation for the woman tired of fighting her reflection What if the woman in the mirror was never the enemy? If you've spent years criticizing your reflection, comparing your body, struggling to believe compliments, or waiting until you look different to finally feel good enough, this meditation is for you. Today we're slowing down and inviting God into the way you see yourself. Through quiet breathing, reflection, Scripture and prayer, we'll begin noticing the thoughts you've repeated for so long that they may feel like truth—and practice taking those thoughts captive instead of allowing them to take us captive. You don't have to suddenly love everything you see. We're simply beginning to see ourselves with different eyes. Scriptures Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 — “Take captive every thought…” Affirmations • My body is not my enemy.• This thought is not automatically the truth.• I am learning to see myself differently.• I don't have to criticize myself to care for myself.• I can want to become healthier without hating who I am today. This week's practice: When you notice a critical thought about your body, pause and ask: Is this truth—or is this simply a thought I've practiced for a very long time? You don't have to heal everything today. Just begin noticing. And the next time you look in the mirror, remember: The woman looking back at you is not the enemy. 🎧 For more practical tools for your health, habits, mindset and body image, listen to the Be Nourished 360 Podcast. When we rise nourished, we rise unstoppable.

Ep. 51 | Lay Down the Shame | Devotional Meditation for Women who are Longing to Heal

What are you carrying today that Jesus never asked you to carry? In this episode of She Rises Nourished, we’re slowing down, breathing deeply, and making space to release shame, self-condemnation, and the pressure to punish ourselves for getting it wrong. Jesus calls us to take up our cross and follow Him, but shame is not part of that cross. This morning meditation is an invitation to recognize the difference between growth and condemnation, responsibility and self-punishment, conviction and shame. You’ll be guided through slow breathing, scripture, reflection, and prayer so you can begin your day feeling lighter, grounded, and reminded that you can keep following Jesus even when you stumble. Luke 9:23 — “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Romans 8:1 — “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” If shame, emotional eating, all-or-nothing thinking, or constantly feeling like you need to “start over” has been part of your health journey, listen to this week’s episode of the Be Nourished 360 Podcast: Stop Starting Over. We go deeper into why one difficult moment doesn’t erase your progress and how to stop abandoning yourself every time life gets messy. Find the Be Nourished 360 Podcast wherever you listen, or click the link in my bio. Lay down the shame. Take up your cross. And keep following Him.

Ep. 48 | Release the Pressure | Devotional Meditation for the Woman who wants to Heal

This gentle 10-minute devotional meditation is an invitation to stop treating your health like another checklist you have to complete perfectly and begin asking a different question: What does my body need from me today? Through slow breathing, prayer, scripture, and a peaceful visualization, we’ll practice loosening our grip, forgiving ourselves for the days we don’t get everything right, and choosing nourishment over striving. Matthew 11:28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Psalm 46:10“Be still, and know that I am God.” Instead of asking: How can I do everything right today? Try asking: What would nourish me today? Listen. Then choose the next right thing. Not all the things. Just the next thing. And if you want to go even deeper into these conversations, I’ve officially launched The Be Nourished 360 Podcast. In the new podcast, we’ll talk more about nutrition, hormones, sleep, stress, your nervous system, mindset, movement, emotions, faith, rest, and all the interconnected pieces that can affect how you feel. Start with Episode 1: Why You Don’t Feel Like You. You can find The Be Nourished 360 Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Substack. Search The Be Nourished 360 Podcast, use the link in my bio, or subscribe on Substack to have each new episode delivered straight to your inbox. And I’ll still meet you here every Wednesday morning for She Rises Nourished—our quiet 10 minutes to breathe, reconnect with God, and begin the day nourished.

Ep. 47 | What Are You Missing? | Devotional Mediation for the Woman who Longs to Heal

What if your body isn’t betraying you… what if it’s trying to tell you something? When you’ve been dealing with fatigue, pain, anxiety, inflammation, hormonal changes, or symptoms you can’t explain, it’s easy to become frustrated with your own body. But your body is not your enemy. In today’s She Rises Nourished, we’ll slow down, breathe, and shift from fighting our bodies to listening with compassion and curiosity. We’ll reflect on God as Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals—and Jesus as our Great Physician, trusting that the One who created our bodies knows exactly what we need. Through guided breathing, Scripture, visualization, affirmations, and prayer, you’ll be encouraged to release the pressure to have everything figured out and simply ask: Lord, what is my next right step? You don't need to see the entire path. You only need enough light for the next step.
