    Well folks, we did it. No I'm not talking about finishing the beloved Kari's Kreepies mini series, nor am I talking about wrapping up season 6 of our perfect little podcast Hear Me Out. Oh no no no, I'm talking about finally bringing the nefarious and infamous Henry Selick flick that has been the most alluded to movie on the pod: Monkeybone. Aside Chris Kattan giving a performance that quite frankly should have gotten an oscar nom, it was quite an upsetting watch....and maybe, just maybe, it's not only bad but.....boring? Not even the DVD's bonus features could save this one. Dive dive dive into this last episode of season 6!

    How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

    Merry Christmas! Kari and Audrey talk through the 1966 Grinch rendition starring Boris Karloff and directed by Chuck Jones. Color changes through the years, best Grinch performances, and dreamcast Grinch actors all come up as we navigate through the nostalgia. In many ways You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch is the OG Brat Album color and all - and we have and always will be a Grinch fan.

    Into the mud, scum-queen! This week we discuss the absurdist and surreal Steve Martin anti-comedy vehicle. Spoiler alert: we loved it! (At least in the context of this mini series.) The hornyness is off the charts, finger sucking is at its peak, Kathleen Turner's voice is at its raspiest yet, and Steve Martin is at his silliest. And he's not the only Steve we talk about. Do we unlock more Kari lore and discover her Uncle Steve was a professional clown and she was raised by a gaggle of clowns in the family? Could Dr. Hfuhruhurr f**k a gorilla? This movies rocks and is such a childhood staple for so many so listen along to see us analyze it with 2026 adult pair of eyes. It has all the makings of genius - it's star studded, it's funny, it's a little boring through the middle AND there's a little Shwartzman on the side just how we like it! So let's see if this thing holds up! And be honest did you think Genovia was real growing up?

    Ack! Ack! Ack! Not to be confused with this week's special guest: Ace! Ace! Ace! This trio takes on yet another Tim Burton film (maybe the most brought director on HMO thus far?) where it weirdly feels like his most grounded flick? But also arguably maybe his most boring. Just our opinion! These three also talk about the star studded cast, the incredible costuming, the martians being little sex perverts, and how Audrey makes the astute observation that Kari surrounds herself with friendly giants. Will this be the last time Kari references the SJP scene (iykyk) and says "when I say I got that dog in me" on the pod? Listen to find out!

    Spiderwick Chronicles

    Freddie Highmore is twin acting his little heart out in this movie adapted from the book series of the same name and it's no parent trap but it's pretty close! Kind of. Well not really but there are a lot of weird little creatures so that is fun! Seth Rogan's least Seth Rogan character maybe of all time and a disappointing end! Did you guys read this growing up? Shout out little weirdos!

    Is this the worst movie we've ever reviewed on the pod? Did Kari and Audrey contemplate turning off this movie 10+ times upon rewatch and have it be the first movie we didn't finish? Was this 'le epic can i has cheeseburger' type humor ever funny even pre internet? Did Kari have to watch many Adam Sandler movies after this to help have her remember that she in fact does like the Sandman? Does this movie hold up? Or is this movie potentially THE WORST MOVIE TO EVER EXIST (actually not a question this time.) Listen to this week's episode to find out!

    Nancy Drew

    Nancy Drew has been an icon among young weird curious minds for at this point almost a decade. The 2007 movie harnesses the duality of annoyance and genius of Nancy Drew! Emma Roberts carries it well. So much media has been built off of this young detectives precocious back - of varying degrees of success and icon status. My favorite spin by far is the HER Interactive computer games - IFYKYK!!! Now this is a movie podcast not a video game but I (Audrey) do force Kari to play “The Curse of Blackmoor Manor” as me and my sisters did for many many hours growing up. She loved it of course and also the movie no need to even listen to the podcast episode. It is a perfect franchise with no flaws.
