17: Bringing CHANGE to Institutions as Young People

Send us Fan Mail Navigating institutions is a unique challenge for a lot of millennials and Gen Z’s. Institutions make up so much of our lives—schools, houses of worship, the businesses that employ us, the companies that market to us—and yet we often struggle to find voices or make changes within them. It’s easy to give up on institutions, but also easy to become overly dependent on them. How do we strike a balance? How do we know when to raise a criticism, or adopt a radical position, or work within the system, or work for reform, or trust established systems?  Max and Adjoa explore this question from a number of angles, reflecting especially on Adjoa’s (relatively) recent experiences with the Y20 and Max’s reading of the Prophetic Critique in the Hebrew Bible.  How have you managed to navigate the institutions that shape your life? Let us know by sending a message or joining us on Discord to continue the conversation! https://discord.gg/juycryANW We’d love to hear from you! ⬇️ Find us in these places too!  ⬇️ Instagram: http://instagram.com/passionfroot.co Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@passionfroot.co Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/passionfroot.collective ⬇️ If you want to connect with Max and Adjoa ⬇️ Max🎸 Instagram and TikTok - maxwellkozen YouTube - Maxwell Kozen Streaming platforms - Maxwell Kozen https://beacons.ai/maxwellkozen Adjoa🦋 Youtube - adjoaainghana Music: Track and Field - Arc de Soleil #thepassionfrootpodcast #navigatinginstitutions

14: When Christian Art is Actually GOOD - How an art & faith conference changed me

Send us Fan Mail I went to an Art & Faith conference, and it changed me. Actually, this is the THIRD year I've been to this conference. I always love going because, as a deconstructing Christian, I find the space to be friendly to questions, intellectual pursuits, and uncertain faith. Art is a great place for these things in general. For something that is so beyond us and filled with such mystery -- aka GOD and religion -- we need good avenues to explore it without putting it in a human-size box. This, I believe, is where the arts come in. Art (in all its forms) is vital for exploring the mystery of The Other. In this video, I share about my experience at this conference: the great minds and artists I've learned from, my biggest takeaways, and the reasons why I keep going back. I also talk more broadly about art and faith and why they should absolutely go together.  I would love to hear about your own faith/spiritual journey! What were some milestones for you? Where have you temporarily landed, or is everything still very much in flux? Meet me in the comments or head over to our Discord for a more in-depth discussion!  https://discord.gg/gdTMBzkNjY P.S. Welcome to our solo episode series! Eventually, we will post solo episodes from each Passionfroot creator. We like to think of these as "breakout sessions" -- a chance to go deeper on the subjects we each represent here on Passionfroot. Expect more creativity-focused solo episodes from me in the future! ⬇️ Find us in these places too!  ⬇️ Instagram: http://instagram.com/passionfroot.co Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@passionfroot.co Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/passionfroot.collective ⬇️ If you want to connect with Darcie ⬇️ Instagram and TikTok - _thatoneartist_ YouTube and Facebook - thatoneartist www.darciedenton.com https://linktr.ee/_thatoneartist_ Music: Track and Field - Arc de Soleil #thepassionfrootpodcast #artandfaith #deconstruction

13: The Surprising Power of Doing LESS

Send us Fan Mail Purpose isn’t found by adding more. Sometimes it emerges when we strip back, pay attention and choose intentionally. In a world that tells us to know more, do more and have more, many of us are quietly exhausted, and still unsure of our purpose. In this episode of the Passionfroot podcast, Adjoa, Darcie and Max have an honest conversation about minimalism, hustle culture and the surprising power of doing less. From intellectual hoarding and digital overwhelm to creativity and faith, this episode explores how stripping back, mentally, digitally and spiritually, can create space for a more grounded, purpose-filled life.  This episode isn’t about aesthetic minimalism or rigid rules, but about intentional living, letting go and trusting that purpose often emerges when we slow down enough to listen. We hope you enjoy and look forward to engaging with you in the comments and in our discord. ~ Adjoa 💌 Continue the conversation by joining our Discord server: https://discord.gg/gdTMBzkNjY We’d love to hear from you! 12: Is Comfort KILLING Our Generation?

Send us Fan Mail Welcome back friends! We're so excited to bring you another FULL group episode! Today, we talk about when to seek discomfort vs comfort. They say "discomfort leads to growth," which is true, but it's not always the best option. Sometimes you need to follow the ease.  But...how do you discern when to choose comfort and when to choose discomfort? When do you pivot in your career and when do you push through? When does comfort become avoidance, and when is escapism actually a GOOD thing? Tune in for an in-depth conversation and let us know what you think! 💭 Join the conversation: When has choosing discomfort been the right decision for you, and when has it been the wrong decision?
