    In keeping with the tradition of this podcast's namesake, we are 3 months late publishing our final birthday month episode. However, the timing couldn't be more perfect since we are merely days away from Christopher Nolan's latest film The Odyssey. We take advantage of Nolan's famous nonlinear time structure to choose this moment to dive into his previous Oscar-winning masterpiece (and Dana's favorite movie) Oppenheimer. We talk all things Oppie and how we might just officially turn this into a Not-So-Secret Nolan podcast after all.

    In this episode of Better Late Than Blockbuster, we finally tackle Goodfellas. Yes, somehow neither of us had seen it. We talk first-time reactions, realizing how much pop culture has been borrowing from this movie for decades, and how Scorsese changed mob movies (scratch that, movies) forever with this flick. Along the way, we also discover this marks our second straight episode featuring a surprise Samuel L. Jackson appearance. We swear we're not planning this. In case you couldn't already tell. Two first watches. One iconic film. And a growing concern about our cinematic credibility.
