How Many Mondays Are You Going To Start Over?

Send us Fan Mail Summer is over, and maybe you're thinking, “Okay… I'm starting over.” Or maybe you're waiting for January 1st to finally get serious. Either way, this episode is for you. Because what if you didn't actually need another fresh start? What if the real skill you're missing isn't motivation or discipline—but learning how to keep going when life doesn't go perfectly? In this episode, I'm talking about the “I'll start Monday” cycle, why one meal or one weekend doesn't have to turn into a week of being “off,” and how to create a wellness routine that can actually survive real life—travel, busy work weeks, dinners out, missed workouts, holidays, and all the other things that happen along the way. I'm also sharing a little of what I've been working on behind the scenes as FASTer Way builds an entirely new app, including the new workouts, Lumi AI guide, new onboarding experience, and how the new experience makes it easier to come back if you've stepped away before. Because you don't need another six-week reset, another perfect Monday, or another January 1st. You just need your next decision. Your next meal. Your next workout. Your next walk. And then you keep going. You don't have to start over. You can start from where you are. I'd love and appreciate a 5 star review, and sharing my content with a friend who might love to listen! Do You Really Have to Track Your Food Forever? | My 3 Levels of Nutrition Tracking

Send us Fan Mail Do you feel like you're either completely on track with your nutrition… or completely off? Maybe you've been tracking your food and it's helping you lose weight, but you're starting to wonder: “Am I seriously supposed to do this forever?” The answer is no. ❤️ Tracking can be a really useful tool but it doesn't have to be a life sentence. In this recording, I walk through 3 levels of nutrition tracking and how to know which level might make the most sense for you: Level 1: Full Macro Tracking Calories, protein, carbs, and fat—useful when you need more structure, accountability, or information. Level 2: Track Protein Instead of tracking everything, focus on one of the most important pieces of your nutrition: getting enough protein. Level 3: Weigh Your Protein Portions A simpler approach where you know how much protein you're eating without needing to weigh and track every single part of your meal. And eventually, the goal may be to need less tracking not more. Because I don't want you to become really good at tracking your food forever. I want you to become really good at knowing how to take care of yourself when nobody is tracking for you. If you've been wondering whether you need MORE structure or LESS, this is for you. 💬 Tell me in the comments: Are you Level 1, 2, 3 or are you working toward trusting yourself without tracking? And if you're looking for simple, high-protein meals to make healthy eating easier, comment MEALS and I'll send you my FREE 5-Day Meal Guide. What If Adventure Could Just Be Part of Real Life?

Send us Fan Mail What if adventure didn't require you to completely change your life? I first discovered Riana of Teaspoon of Adventure while listening to her talk about Orléans, France on Chris Christensen's Amateur Traveler podcast. I loved the way she thought about travel: less about checking places off a list and more about slowing down, getting curious, and actually experiencing a place. Riana shares how her relationship with travel has evolved from solo adventures and living abroad to building a career around travel, travelling with her husband and dog, and eventually taking a nine month trip with a baby and a dog. We talk about slow travel, money, family, wellbeing, and what happens when the life you have gets more complicated but you still want to experience new things. Because your version of adventure doesn't have to look like anyone else's. It just has to fit the phase of life you're in. In this episode: • The story behind Teaspoon of Adventure • Why slow travel can change the way you experience a place • Making travel work with a family, a career and a budget • The reality of travelling for nine months with a baby and a dog • How your definition of adventure changes as you move through life • Why you don't have to wait for the “perfect” time to start living more adventurously Connect with Riana: Teaspoon of Adventure What's your teaspoon of adventure? Our Summer Day Trip to a Hidden WWII Battery in California

Send us Fan Mail What if the best history lessons aren’t the ones that happen inside a classroom? In this episode, I’m sharing one of our favorite summer day trips a simple adventure that turned into a hands-on WWII history lesson for our family. We took a day off work, packed a picnic lunch, and drove through the beautiful Marin Headlands in Northern California. What we found was Battery Townsley, a hidden World War II coastal defense site tucked into the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We walked through a piece of history, stood next to a 68-foot coastal defense gun, explored the area, and had the kind of conversations with our kids that you just can’t plan. This episode is about so much more than one location. It’s about why experiences often teach our kids in ways that textbooks can’t, why you don’t need a huge vacation to create meaningful memories, and why some of the best adventures are waiting right in your own backyard. We’ll talk about:  Taking a day off work to create summer memories  Packing a simple picnic and making a day of it  How WWII history became real for our kids  Why experiential learning sticks  Finding affordable adventures close to home Because sometimes the best classroom doesn’t have four walls. Sometimes it’s a winding road, a hidden tunnel, a picnic by the coast, and a piece of history waiting to be discovered. Don’t Let Summer Steal Your Momentum

Send us Fan Mail 🎙 Don't Let Summer Steal Your MomentumHow to Stay Consistent When Life Gets Busy Summer has a way of quietly stealing our momentum. Between vacations, changing schedules, BBQs, late nights, and all the fun that comes with this season, it's easy to find yourself drifting away from the healthy habits you've worked so hard to build. If you've ever found yourself saying, "I'll get back on track in September," this episode is for you. Today, we're talking about realistic ways to stay consistent during the busiest season of the year—without perfection, guilt, or starting over. I'll share practical strategies, including how to identify your Non-Negotiable Three habits, why protein matters even more during the summer months, the power of the 24-Hour Rule, and how to stop the all-or-nothing cycle before it starts. Because real transformation isn't built during perfect seasons. It's built during busy, messy, beautiful seasons like summer. You don't need to start over. You simply need to keep showing up. When Injury Interrupts the Journey: A practical guide to movement, nutrition, recovery, and protecting your progress while you heal.

Send us Fan Mail You don't have to be a professional athlete to know how frustrating an injury can be. One moment you're building momentum, hitting workouts, seeing progress, and feeling strong. The next, you're wondering if weeks or months of hard work are about to disappear. After injuring my back this past weekend, I found myself reflecting on a lesson that every fitness journey eventually teaches us: setbacks are part of the process. In this episode, I share the recovery framework I'm using right now, including how to approach movement, walking, strength training, nutrition, sleep, and mindset while your body heals. We'll discuss why complete rest isn't always the answer, how to maintain progress even when you can't train normally, and why the habits you've built throughout your health journey may be helping you recover more than you realize. If you're navigating an injury—or simply want a game plan for when life inevitably throws you off course—this episode is for you. Because injury may interrupt the journey, but it doesn't have to end it. I'd love and appreciate a 5 star review, and sharing my content with a friend who might love to listen!
