The Journey to Unlocking Your True Value with Lloylette Stewart-Russell Grace to Grow: From Valley to Mountain — Stories of Resilience, Redemption and Rising Strong Episode Description What happens when the words spoken over you become the words you begin to believe about yourself? In this powerful episode of Grace to Grow: From Valley to Mountain, host Shirley Brenda Musubika sits down with Christian Life Coach, speaker, author and advocate for women and girls, Lloylette Stewart-Russell, for an honest conversation about self-worth, healing, faith, identity and becoming your own rescue. Lloyette shares her deeply personal journey of growing up hearing words that affected how she saw herself and how those experiences eventually became part of the way she spoke to herself. At 19, she left home, but leaving physically did not mean leaving the pain behind. At 22, she became a mother and found herself asking a deeply personal question: “How am I going to raise a child when I don't even know how to love myself?” That question became part of a much deeper journey of transformation. Lloyette began learning that healing required more than changing her circumstances. She had to rebuild her relationship with herself, confront the inner voice that had developed over the years, and begin taking responsibility for her own healing. She describes this process as becoming her own rescue. Her journey also challenged her to understand that the dreams she carried required her to become ready to carry them. When she once believed she was ready to write a book, she was told that there was still work to be done within herself. Instead of giving up on the dream, she began doing the work. Through faith, reflection, healing and personal growth, Lloylette began to rediscover her identity and understand her worth beyond the words that had been spoken about her. Today, she uses her story and experience to help women and young girls struggling with low self-esteem through her work as a Christian Life Coach, speaker, author and advocate. In this episode, Shirley and Lloyette explore what it means to stop surviving and start thriving, how faith can shape the healing journey, why low self-esteem is not always obvious, and what it means to actively participate in your own transformation. If you have ever questioned your worth, struggled with the voice inside your head, waited for someone else to change your circumstances, or wondered whether you could become the person you were created to be, this conversation is for you. Your past may have shaped you—but it does not have to define who you become. Connect with Grace to Grow If this episode inspired you, please: Subscribe to Grace to Grow: From Valley to Mountain.
