    Welcome back to the new and improved Sensationalist podcast! In this episode, host Britton Rae introduces the new concept and segments to The Sensationalist, a podcast intended to feel like gossip at a sleepover with your besties! She begins this week's episode by catching everyone up on her personal life! From canceling her wedding to losing her engagement ring, to a potential elopement in Europe... she spills it all! But Britton isn't the only person on the internet in the midst of wedding planning and engagements... it seems as though every influencer under the sun got married this year and the internet had A LOT of interesting opinions. For this week's cultural commentary, Britton dives into her theory as to why people have become so hostile online. Of course, she can't talk about the summer weddings without mentioning Taylor Swift's extravagant MSG wedding! She allows her unfiltered thoughts to pour out about the haters, criticism, and obsession that has surrounded this mystery wedding! Finally, she introduces The Sensationalist book club segment by offering her TBR list to the viewers to vote for the first official book club pick! Going forward, this segment will include commentary on the current read! For a special treat, Britton reads the entirety of chapter one of her unreleased novel, My Dear Regret!
