Season 4, Episode 8: The Conversations I’ll Never Forget

Some conversations happen and disappear almost as quickly as they started. Others? You carry them with you for years. In Season 4, Episode 8 of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, BriAnn looks back at the conversations that stayed with her—not necessarily because they were dramatic or life-changing in the moment, but because something inside them stuck. A sentence. A story. A different perspective. A moment of complete understanding. Or sometimes, simply meeting someone you never expected would become important to your life. From the unexpected connection with Isa that began with a podcast invitation, to conversations with Deb about experiences they didn't have to explain to one another, hearing her own relationship through Rico's perspective, getting to know a different side of Kenny, and the powerful stories she's been trusted with through 8158—these conversations have taught BriAnn that we rarely recognize an important moment while we're actually living it. Some conversations create friendships. Some change relationships. Some make us feel seen. Some give us clarity. Some make us laugh until we can't breathe. Some teach us something we won't fully understand until years later. And some of the most meaningful conversations never make it onto a podcast at all. This episode is about slowing down enough to pay attention—to the people, the stories, the words spoken after the microphone turns off, and those seemingly ordinary moments that somehow become permanent pieces of our lives. Because there's another side to this, too: You've probably been part of a conversation someone else still remembers. Something you said may have encouraged them, challenged them, comforted them, or changed the direction of their life... and you may have absolutely no idea. ✨ Some conversations end when we stop talking. Others become part of who we are. Ask another question. Listen a little longer. And if someone once said something you've carried with you ever since... maybe it's time to tell them. 🤍 🌐 Website/Merch/Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com

Season 4, Episode 7: The Myth of Having It All Figured Out

At what point are we supposed to actually know what we're doing? Because I'm 41... and I'm still waiting for the orientation packet. 😂 In Season 4, Episode 7 of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, BriAnn talks about one of the biggest myths of adulthood: that eventually we're supposed to reach some magical point where we have our lives completely figured out. Career. Marriage. Money. Business. Health. Purpose. The future. Except... does anyone actually get there? From moving to Kentucky and reconnecting with Rico to marriage, starting 8158, launching The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, building Slightly Unhinged Radio and everything that's grown from those decisions, so much of BriAnn's life wasn't part of some perfectly executed master plan. It happened one decision at a time. One unexpected person. One opportunity. One change of direction. And quite a few “Okay... what the hell do we do now?” moments. 😂 This episode is about letting go of the pressure to know exactly where your life is going, recognizing that changing your mind doesn't mean you've failed, and realizing that confidence might not be knowing what happens next at all. Maybe confidence is being able to say: “I don't know exactly what happens next... but I trust myself to figure it out.” You don't need the next twenty steps. Sometimes you just need the next one. And maybe having your life figured out was never supposed to be the goal. Maybe the goal is learning how to build a beautiful life while some of the questions are still unanswered. 🤍 ✨ You don't need all the answers to build a beautiful life. 🌐 Website:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com 📝 Add-On Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.blogspot.com 🛍 Shop Merch:https://www.slightlyunhingedmedianetwork.com/the-beautifully-unplanned-podcast-shop

Season 4, Episode 6: What Podcasting Has Taught Me About People

When I started podcasting, I thought the most important part would be learning how to ask the right questions. Turns out, it was learning how to listen to the answers. In Season 4, Episode 6 of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, BriAnn reflects on what years of conversations through TBU, 8158, Off Duty, radio, and everything in between have taught her about people. She shares how complete strangers have become important parts of her life, why you can know someone for years and still not know their entire story, and how sitting across from people as they talk about trauma, loss, service, relationships, failure, resilience, and second chances has changed the way she sees the people around her. Because everyone is carrying something you can't see. Pain doesn't always look like pain. Resilience isn't always dramatic. People don't always need to be fixed. And sometimes the most meaningful thing you can give someone isn't advice at all... It's your attention. This episode is about looking beyond first impressions, asking one more question, and remembering that every person you meet has chapters you haven't read yet. ✨ Before you decide who someone is... listen longer. You might be surprised by what you hear. And you never know when one conversation with a complete stranger might become another beautifully unplanned part of your own story. 🤍 🌐 Website:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com 📝 Add-On Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.blogspot.com 🛍 Shop Merch:https://www.slightlyunhingedmedianetwork.com/the-beautifully-unplanned-podcast-shop

Season 4, Episode 5: The Invisible Seasons

What do you do when you’re doing the work… but it feels like nothing is happening? In Season 4, Episode 5 of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, BriAnn talks about the seasons of life that don’t come with big announcements, exciting milestones, or obvious proof that you’re moving forward. They’re the invisible seasons. The years of trying before something finally works. The quiet work behind building a business or podcast. Starting over in a new place. Healing in ways nobody else can see. Learning skills you have no idea you’ll need later. And becoming a different version of yourself long before the outside world notices. BriAnn reflects on her own invisible seasons—from the experiences that eventually prepared her for podcasting and entrepreneurship, to moving to Kentucky, building 8158 and Slightly Unhinged Radio, and the years of trial and error that came before her successful gastric sleeve surgery and 100-pound weight loss. Because we’re really good at celebrating the before and after. But we don’t talk nearly enough about the during. This episode is a reminder that you don’t need a milestone, an announcement, a number, or somebody else’s applause for your progress to count. Maybe you’re not stuck. Maybe you’re learning. Maybe you’re healing. Maybe you’re preparing. Maybe you’re rebuilding. Maybe you’re becoming. ✨ You don’t need an audience for your growth to count. And sometimes, the seasons where it looks like nothing is happening are quietly preparing you for everything that comes next. 🤍 🌐 Website:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com 📝 Add-On Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.blogspot.com 🛍 Shop Merch:https://www.slightlyunhingedmedianetwork.com/the-beautifully-unplanned-podcast-shop

Season 4, Episode 4: The Best Decisions I Ever Made Started With Fear

What if being scared doesn’t mean you’re making the wrong decision? Some of the biggest decisions in BriAnn’s life didn’t begin with confidence, certainty, or feeling completely ready. They began with fear. Moving to Kentucky. Starting 8158. Building Slightly Unhinged Radio. Starting The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast. Putting herself behind a microphone. Getting married. Leaving behind what was comfortable to find out what might be waiting on the other side. In this episode of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast, BriAnn looks back at the decisions that changed the direction of her life—and the fear that showed up before almost every one of them. Because sometimes fear is a warning. But sometimes? Fear is simply what it feels like to go somewhere you’ve never been before. This episode is about learning the difference between “something is wrong” and “something is new,” questioning the comfort that keeps us stuck, and realizing that courage doesn’t require you to stop being afraid. You can be scared and still move. Unsure and still choose. Terrified and still take the next step. ✨ You don’t have to stop being scared before you start being brave. Fear can come along for the ride. It just doesn’t get the final vote. 🤍 🌐 Website:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com 📝 Read the Add-On Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.blogspot.com 🛍 Shop Merch:https://www.slightlyunhingedmedianetwork.com/the-beautifully-unplanned-podcast-shop

    Season 4, Episode 1 — The Life I Thought I’d Have

We all have a version of life we pictured for ourselves. Where we thought we’d be by a certain age. What our relationships would look like. What career we’d have. How successful we’d be.Who we thought we’d become. And then… life happens. 💛 Season 4 of The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast begins with “The Life I Thought I’d Have,” a deeply personal look at the expectations we carry, the timelines we create, and what happens when our actual life looks nothing like the one we imagined. In this episode, I reflects on the plans that changed, the paths that disappeared, the unexpected opportunities that showed up instead, and the realization that sometimes the life we never planned becomes the life we were supposed to experience. Because maybe getting off track doesn’t mean you’re lost. Maybe the detours, wrong turns, people, heartbreaks, opportunities, failures, and completely random moments were quietly building a life you never would have known to ask for. ✨ Season 4 Theme: Life Doesn’t Come With a Roadmap If your life looks different from the one you once pictured, this episode is for you. 🎧 LISTEN & CONNECT 🌐 The Beautifully Unplanned Podcast:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.com 🍎 Apple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-beautifully-unplanned-podcast/id1856043547 🎧 Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/show/5mb82GTpValpEXuG3slzYI 📝 Read the Blog:https://thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast.blogspot.com 📲 Instagram & Facebook:@TheBeautifullyUnplannedPodcast 🎵 TikTok:@thebeautifullyunplannedpod 📧 Contact:thebeautifullyunplannedpodcast@gmail.com Sometimes the life you thought you wanted has to fall away before you can see the beauty in the one you actually got. 💛 #TheBeautifullyUnplannedPodcast #BeautifullyUnplanned #TheLifeIThoughtIdHave #LifeDoesntComeWithARoadmap #UnplannedLife #LifeDetours #PersonalGrowth #RealLifeStories #Podcast #NewEpisode
