I just listened to the first episode of the Brag Tag podcast from Columbus County Schools, and it was a pleasant surprise. Principal Herman Bland from Chadbourn Elementary shares his background and how he supports his staff, and it all comes across very honest and down to earth.
Board members Irvin Enzor and Emily Grice handled the interview, and what really stood out to me was how genuine the conversation felt. Nothing sounded rehearsed or political. Sometimes people forget that school board members are real folks with real feelings who care deeply about our kids. This episode made that clear in a really refreshing way.
The sound quality is solid, the pacing is easy to listen to, and for a first episode, it’s a great start. I hope they keep it going—this could be a really nice way to highlight the good things happening in our schools.
