  1. Ep. 34 The Hidden Ways we Deplete Ourselves

    Apr 25

Ep. 34 The Hidden Ways we Deplete Ourselves

Most of the depletion that healers experience is not coming from the obvious places. The long client session, the demanding launch, the season of life that asks a great deal. Those are visible. We can account for them and rest afterwards. The depletion I explore in this episode is the kind that happens quietly, consistently, and often in direct proportion to how sensitive and devoted you are to your work. Until we can see it clearly, we cannot begin to address it. In this episode: the three hidden drains that accumulate beneath the surface of a working life, why sensitive practitioners are particularly prone to carrying what is not theirs to hold, how constant self-questioning costs far more energy than most of us realise, and what it means to begin creating a genuine boundary between what is yours and what is not. Essence spotlight: The Umbel family, Apiaceae. Elder, angelica, fennel, cow parsley. These are plants of the threshold, comfortable at the boundary between one thing and another, and deeply supportive of the nervous system and energetic boundaries. Yarrow from my own range carries both sunlight and moonlight expressions, addressing the restoration of the boundary between what is genuinely yours to give and what has been given out of habit, conditioning, or the quiet fear of giving less. 2. Ep.33 The Capacity to Hold More

    Apr 25

Ep.33 The Capacity to Hold More

Growth without the internal capacity to hold it is almost always uncomfortable. And that discomfort is often misread as a sign that something has gone wrong, that the visibility should be reduced, the price brought back down, the offer withdrawn. In this episode I explore what actually happens in the body and energy system when more begins to arrive, and why the stretch that comes with expansion is not a signal to retreat but a sign that something real is opening. This is one of the most overlooked conversations in sacred business, and it is worth naming directly. In this episode: why capacity rather than strategy is often the real ceiling, what the internal contraction of growth actually feels like from the inside, and how to stay present to the discomfort of expansion without interpreting it as a reason to make yourself smaller again. Essence spotlight: The Rose family, Rosaceae, with their deep gripping root systems and five-petalled flowers that are both fragrant and uplifting. Patricia Kaminski writes that this family stimulates greater forces of idealism, love and commitment, helping the will to find its right balance and direction for life on earth. From my own range, Orange Rose, Red Rose and Sovereignty Rose each carry a distinct quality of this expansion from the inside out. 3. Ep. 31 Stepping into the Authorship of your own Medicine

    Apr 12

Ep. 31 Stepping into the Authorship of your own Medicine

There comes a point where the question in your heart and mind begin to change. Not "what else do I need to learn?" but "am I ready to begin creating from what I already know?" This episode is for those who can feel that threshold, those who sense their work is ready to deepen and who are no longer looking for more, but for something more true. In this episode I explore what it means to step into authorship of your own medicine, the moment when the path shifts from learning and applying to living and embodying. This is not a sudden leap but a recognition that something is asking to move through you, and that you may already be more ready than you think. We look at what this decision point actually feels like, who this path tends to call, and what it genuinely asks of the people who follow it. I also share one of the essences I work with, Crimson Rose, and how her medicine speaks directly to the devotion at the heart of this work. This episode is an invitation to consider whether you are at that threshold and what it might mean to say yes to what is asking to come through you. I cover What the decision point feels like and how to recognise it in yourselfWho this path tends to call and who it may not be forWhat this work actually offers over time, and what it does not promiseThe difference between adding something to your practice and truly embodying itThe movement from practitioner to author of your own medicineWhy devotion, not effort, is what anchors this kind of workKey Takeaways The next step in your work may not be more learning but a willingness to create from what you already carryThis path asks for presence, honesty and depth over time rather than quick results or rigid methodsThe shift from learning to living your work changes not just what you offer but how others experience itReadiness for this path is less about having everything figured out and more about recognising that something is asking to move through youDevotion to what matters in your work is what grounds and sustains this kind of creation over timeEssence Ally — Crimson Rose Crimson Rose holds a deep sense of devotion, a return to why you are here in the first place. She speaks to embodiment rather than output, to living your work rather than simply offering it, and to coming closer to what truly matters rather than doing more. In the context of this episode, she reflects something central to this path: the work deepens not through accumulation but through a willingness to bring yourself fully into relationship with it. Crimson Rose supports that quality of presence, the kind that allows your medicine to become genuinely your own. This work is something I am currently opening as a small, six-month space, a place to explore creating your own essences and developing your work in relationship with what wants to come through you. There is also an optional in-person retreat here in France for those who feel called to experience this more deeply in nature. 4. Ep.30 - When your Medicine Comes Through you

    Apr 5

Ep.30 - When your Medicine Comes Through you

There comes a point in your practice where something begins to shift, not in what you are doing, but in how you are relating to your work. You may still be using the same tools and working in the same way on the surface, and yet underneath something feels different. More direct, more settled, less effortful. In this episode, I explore this movement, the moment when your work stops coming only from what you have learned and begins to come through you. This is not a concept but something many practitioners begin to experience as their work matures, and it asks for a different kind of attention. We look at what this shift actually feels like, why the instinct at this stage is often to look for more training or more confirmation, and what is usually being asked instead. I also share one of the essences I work with, Bearded Iris, and how its medicine speaks directly to this moment in a practitioner's journey. This episode is an invitation to trust what you already carry, not instead of what you have learned, but alongside it. I cover The shift that happens when your work begins to come through you rather than only from youWhy practitioners at this stage often reach for more learning when something else is being askedWhat it means to move from applying what you know to trusting what you senseThe difference between method and presence in your practiceHow this shift does not replace your training but changes how you hold itWhy this stage asks for self-trust rather than more confirmationKey Takeaways Growth at this stage may not come from learning more but from trusting more deeply what you already carryThe work begins to move differently when you stop reaching for certainty and allow what is already present to inform youThis is not about confidence in the mind but a recognition that lives in the bodyThe shift from practitioner to someone whose work comes through them is not sudden and builds over time in small moments of following what you senseWhat you have learned does not disappear but becomes something you hold differentlyEssence Ally - Bearded Iris Bearded Iris carries a clear and grounded message: you know how to do this. Not as something the mind decides, but as something the body already recognises. It supports the practitioner who is ready to trust their own direct knowing rather than continuing to look outward for the next step or the next confirmation. In the context of this episode, it reflects something worth sitting with: the next level of your work may not require more learning but a deeper willingness to trust what is already there. This work is something I am currently opening as a small, six-month space, a place to explore creating your own essences and developing a more direct relationship with what wants to come through you and your work. Episode 29 - Creating Your Own Essences: Entering Relationship with Nature - with Essence Ally Pink Yarrow

There comes a point where your work begins to ask for something different. Not more techniques or learning or information But a deeper relationship. In this episode, I explore what it means to move from working within existing systems (such as using others templates and structures to run your business) to entering into direct relationship with nature and how this shift opens a new way of creating, listening, and working. We look at what vibrational essences are in a simple, grounded way, and the difference between using what already exists and beginning to create your own. This isn’t about doing it perfectly. It’s about learning to listen. I also share one of the essences I work with — Pink Yarrow — and how Pink Yarrow supports a sense of safety, connection, and the capacity to open more deeply. This episode is an invitation into a different way of working. One that unfolds over time, through relationship rather than technique. I cover What essences are (in a grounded, accessible way)The difference between using essences and creating your ownWhy this work is relational, not technical and has nothing to do with ticking boxesMoving from applying methods to listening more directlyHow nature becomes something you work with, not just throughThe role of safety and sensitivity in deeper work Key Takeaways The next level of your work may not be more learning, but a different relationshipCreating essences is a process of listening, not controlNature responds to presence, not forceFeeling safe is what allows deeper work to unfoldThis path develops over time through experience, not perfectionEssence Ally — Pink Yarrow Pink Yarrow works gently within the subtle energy field, supporting a sense of safety, connection, and soft opening through the heart. It is particularly supportive where there has been sensitivity or emotional wounding — not by pushing change, but by restoring a sense of steadiness and coherence. In the context of this work, it reflects an important truth: Deeper work doesn’t come from effort. It comes from feeling safe enough to open. This work is something I’m currently opening as a small, six-month space. A place to explore creating your own essences, and developing a more direct relationship with what wants to come through you. Episode 28 — From Practitioner to Creator: When What You Know Isn’t Enough Anymore Essence Ally: Sovereignty Rose

There comes a point in healing work where what once felt expansive begins to feel… contained. Not because anything is wrong but because something deeper is asking to emerge. In this episode, I explore the moment many practitioners reach when their work begins to feel repetitive, when familiar patterns continue to appear, and when there is a quiet knowing that more is possible — even if it can’t yet be accessed through what they’ve been taught. This isn’t a lack of skill. It’s often a sign that your work is ready to deepen. We explore the shift from applying learned methods to entering a more direct relationship with the source of healing itself — and the early stages of moving from practitioner to creator. I also share a glimpse into my own work through one of the essences I’ve created, Sovereignty Rose, and how the process of creation invites a deeper level of authorship, responsibility, and trust in your own way of working. This episode opens a new conversation — one that doesn’t replace what you already do, but expands it. The point where healing work can begin to feel repetitive Why this doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong The natural depth and limits of what we’ve been taught Recognising when your work is asking to evolve The shift from applying methods to relating more directly Moving from practitioner into authorship of your own work Remember Repetition in your work can be a sign of readiness, not limitation What you’ve learned has brought you here — but something deeper may now be calling The next level of work often begins with relationship, not more techniques Creation asks for a different level of trust and responsibility Sovereignty is the foundation of original, aligned work Sovereignty Rose holds the frequency of stepping into authorship of your own life and work. Not as confidence alone, but as a deeper sense of inner authority — where you are no longer only working within existing structures, but beginning to relate directly to what wants to come through you. It supports the shift from following to creating, while still honouring the role of learning, structure, and guidance along the way. I am opening a small, six-month container exploring this work more deeply, where I am teaching a small number of Healers to Create their own Soul Aligned Essences - to support their clients and their work If something in this episode resonates — particularly around stepping into your own way of working as a Source Led Creatrix who has also a very practical energy— you’re welcome to get in touch and explore whether it feels like the right next step for you. Ep.27 - Letting Life and Business Hold you with Flower Companion Red Chestnut

Letting Life and Business Hold You Flower Companion: Red Chestnut In this episode of Rise, Healer, Rise, Sara explores the flower Red Chestnut through the lens of leadership, responsibility, and the hidden exhaustion many healers experience when they feel they must hold everything themselves. Dr. Edward Bach described Red Chestnut as the state of over-concern for the welfare of others—a tendency to worry excessively about those we care for and to feel responsible for their outcomes. In business, this pattern can show up as emotional over-holding: carrying clients’ experiences, worrying about every result, and feeling personally responsible for everything that happens within the work we offer. This episode explores what happens when sensitive women move from holding everything alone to allowing their business structures, boundaries, and containers to hold the work with them. Because leadership is not about carrying more. It is about creating structures that can hold what you are building. Dr. Edward Bach’s description of Red Chestnut and over-concern for others How emotional over-responsibility shows up in healing businesses The difference between caring for clients and carrying them Why holding everything personally leads to exhaustion How containers, systems, and structure allow a business to hold you The shift from hyper-vigilance to trust in leadership Dr. Edward Bach described Red Chestnut as the state where someone becomes overly anxious about the welfare of others, imagining difficulties or harm for those they care about. While this often arises from love and devotion, it can lead to emotional over-involvement and exhaustion. In its balanced state, Red Chestnut supports calm trust, allowing care and compassion without carrying responsibility for outcomes that do not belong to us. For healers and space-holders, this restoration is essential. Where in my business am I carrying responsibility that is not truly mine? Do I feel personally responsible for my clients’ outcomes? What structures or containers could support my work more effectively? What would it feel like to let my business hold me as well? Caring for others does not require carrying their outcomes. Over-responsibility often leads to exhaustion rather than stronger leadership. Healthy containers allow healing work to unfold without emotional over-holding. Business structures exist to distribute responsibility, not concentrate it. Trusting the container of your work allows you to lead without collapse.
