    Communion on the Tongue vs. in the Hand: The Untold History Behind the Change

My dad traces the surprising history of how Communion in the hand became normal in the U.S.: European bishops defying Vatican II-era policy, the indult Pope Paul VI granted them, and the contested U.S. bishops' vote under Cardinal Bernardin - including his use of proxy votes for absent bishops to push it through.
