Selah Moments with Sam and Jess

Samantha Rodriques and Jessica Robinson Grant

Selah Moments with Sam and Jess is a podcast inviting Black Christian Millennial and Gen Z women to slow down right in the middle of whatever life is doing, especially on the days when life is life-ing. We centre the stories and experiences of Black women, but any sis who is hungry for deeper rest and discipleship is welcome at this table. Selah (סֶלָה) is that biblical pause, the little “hold on sis… let’s breathe and hear God” moment, and that’s exactly what we’re creating together. Think heartfelt conversations with quiet-time vibes: laughter, honesty, Scripture, and those “Okay God… I hear You” moments. Inspired by the reflective rhythm of the Psalms and flowing out of our own friendship and sisterhood, Selah Moments is a gentle nudge to pause before you keep pouring, leading, loving, and showing up for everyone else. It’s a soft place to land, realign, and be reminded that you are God’s daughter first. Our mandate is to equip, empower, and impart. Each episode is created to: • give you practical, life-giving biblical wisdom • help you slow down and check in with your soul • bring peace, clarity, and truth through real, Spirit-led conversation • deepen your spiritual formation and discipleship in the middle of real life Two voices. One vision. Real conversations that meet you in the middle and remind you that God is there too. Welcome to your Selah moment, sis. We’re so glad you’re here.

The Art of Deployment: How God Prepares You Before He Sends You

How does God prepare you before He sends you, and how can you discern when He is calling you into a new season? In this episode, Pastor Rohan K. Samuels joins us for a powerful conversation about deployment, spiritual preparation, sanctification, obedience, and responding to God’s call. Pastor Rohan explains that blooming is not simply about becoming, it is about becoming ready to be useful in the hands of God. Together, we explore how God develops us for His purposes, why preparation is an essential part of spiritual growth, and how to remain faithful when an assignment feels difficult or unclear. We also discuss how to discern when God is leading you into something new, the fears and excuses that can prevent us from moving forward, and why obedience matters more than perfection. Whether your next season requires an emotional, relational, geographical, or spiritual transition, this conversation will encourage you to renew your “yes” and trust the preparation process.
