Movies Over My Hammy is a comedy podcast that dares to ask the hard questions: Is the Batman Calzony better than The Batman? Would you like to sit down in a theater and watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice or would you rather take a seat at a diner and order the Beetlejuicy Burger? Each week Adam Quesnell and Andrew Santoro will answer the eternal marketing question, “Is the movie tie-in menu superior to the movie that it’s tied to?” And, in lieu of a tie in menu, how does this movie stack up to the Moons Over My Hammy sandwich from Denny’s?     Episode 27: Subway x Happy Gilmore 2

    This episode is what I call "a hole in one”! Remember when they did that joke with the Subway commercial in the first Happy Gilmore? Remember when Happy Gilmore put the sandwich on the golf tee and hit it into the guy’s mouth and then said “That’s what I call a hole in one”? Remember that? Well now let’s insert a clip of that very thing happening just in case you remembered it a bit insufficiently.  What was all that incomprehensible rambling? Well, that’s our attempt at recreating a Happy Gilmore 2 joke! The only film that dares to repeatedly ask its audience, “Do you remember that thing? And if not (or if so) here’s a clip to jog your memory just in case.”  Speaking of jogging your memory, do you remember when Subway sandwich bread used to have the yoga mat stuff in it? I don’t because I ate too much of the Subway sandwich yoga mat bread. Which will win?! The place with the 5 dollar foot longs (wait, they don’t have those anymore?) or the golfer with the alive wife (wait, he doesn’t have that anymore?)? We do other things sometimes!     Episode 26: Raising Cane’s x Raising Cane

    Andrew’s in the UK and is very tired so this description is going to be short and sweet. This week we ate at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and compared it to Brian de Palma’s Raising Cane Chicken Filmers.  Which is juicier!?     Episode 25: Popeyes x One Piece

    It’s a special Mother’s Day episode of the podcast so you KNOW we’re going to be talking about it for at least 3-5 minutes! But that’s just the spicy beginning, after that A D. Am and An D. Rew set sail in search of the One Piece (meal from Popeyes) to become the next King(s) of the Podcast!  Did Adam manage to secure one of the 60 plastic bento boxes allocated to all of the greater Los Angeles area? I bet you didn’t think we knew how to do 3 mics at the same time, well joke’s on you we just recorded a regular episode and had our guest do voiceover when she thought it was funny (this is a joke, that would be insane).  We had a guest on to talk about the hit 2007 film, Bratz, and compare it to the hit sausage varietal, Brats. Which is snappier, the film or the sausage?  Which is…I only really had the one comparison that made sense, but which one wins?     Episode 22: McDonald’s x KPop Demon Hunters

    Oh no! There’s a new evil version of our podcast out called Books Under Your Salady with two hunky co-hosts that compare books to fitness products! Make sure not to listen to it because the hosts are actually demons that want to weaken the golden dome that our podcast has been keeping in place!  This week we watched a movie about some Kpop Demon Hunters, ate a meal based on those very demon hunters, and cracked some included card packs hoping to track down that elusive $100 Rumi-Jinu holofoil handshake card. Can the Demon Hunters best the Ramyeon shaker fries? Can the funny cat guy outshine the Derpy McFlurry? And can Andrew finally remember what the poop drug thing is that he keeps mentioning?     What’s the best possible tie-in that you can imagine for a film about knock-off Chuck E. Cheese? You know, the place that used to have the animatronic guys who sold you pizza? Did you guess any, of the many, pizza chains that are scattered across these lands? Well, that’s where you’d be wrong because you should have obviously been thinking about fried chicken! Sorry if the description is a little smaller than normal, the pool was cold. This is actually a very funny joke that we probably laughed at in the video.     Episode 20: Cheba Hut x Half Baked

    Let’s head on down to the Cheba Hut to get ourselves a nug of that Sticky Icky, maybe we’ll top it off with Pinner of Chronic and a Blunt of that Dank. Can’t forget to grab us some munchies, hit me with a Goo Ball, a large order of Not’chos, a small order of Cool Ranch Doritos Not’chos, and it wouldn’t be a run to Cheba Hut without the Chocolate Chip Cookie. All I wanna know is one thing…Who’s coming with me? SAMPSON! That’s right, this week we talked about the two most stoner things that have ever stoned…Cheba Hut and Half Baked! That’s right, on this most 4/20est of days we wanted to give you the most quotable film alongside the most potable food. And yes, I know potable means something is drinkable but I thought it would be fun to use it because it sounds close to quotable and has the word pot in it which is also fun!  Half Baked? Is that title in reference to the script for this movie? Cheba Hut? I don’t have anything for that one...Abba Zabba, you my only friend.
