In recent years, I’ve heard many Christians express concern about the religious and moral fiber of America. Most of the time, America’s religious fiber and moral fiber are treated as one and the same. The concerns that people express usually go something like this: The American public, and especially the younger generation, are increasingly areligious and anti-Christian. If this country turns away from God, then what will become of us? read more: https://www.projectarctos.com/archive/76/religion-and-morality ------------------------------------------------------------ www.projectarctos.com Project Arctos exists as a space for those who may not feel they belong, who desire guidance in mastering their gifts, and who are ready to be empowered through a supportive community to bring their gifts to a world often not yet ready to welcome them. Born out of the Chinese church yet focused on English-speaking populations, we know what it is like to not belong to the world. We know what it’s like to feel like a fish out of water, trying to live by rules we didn’t grow up with. Whether you’re an outcast or simply looking for a place to fit into, this is a space where you may find rest and prepare for entry into the wider world, where a mission much larger than yourself (or any one of us) awaits. Project Arctos Ed75 The End of Ministry by Scott Yi

This past year, I learned just how insubstantial my past achievements really were. I have finally come to the understanding that after doing 15+ years of ministry in all sorts of capacities and roles, this part of my life is truly over. I am no longer a minister, no longer a pastor, no longer a spiritual leader in any sense. And I guess I’m okay with that. read more: https://www.projectarctos.com/archive/75/the-end-of-ministry ------------------------------------------------------------ www.projectarctos.com Project Arctos exists as a space for those who may not feel they belong, who desire guidance in mastering their gifts, and who are ready to be empowered through a supportive community to bring their gifts to a world often not yet ready to welcome them. Project Arctos Ed71 A Resolution for Self Extinction

A few months ago, the New York Times did a profile on a man named Les Knight. Les Knight is the founder of the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement. The organization, created in 1991, has an incredibly threadbare website, with webpages proudly displayed in Times New Roman and looking as if the site had never been updated since its first years of existence. But despite the lack of modern design sensibilities, Voluntary Human Extinction is a philosophical worldview that has steadily gained popularity over the past few decades. The idea is one of environmental extremism, positing that in order to ensure the survival of the planet, humans should willingly refrain from procreation. If we want to reverse the damage that humanity has wrought, we need to have less kids, they argue. The movement does not advocate genocide, suicide, infanticide, or any other sort of violent solution in their zeal to save the earth. They simply want people to choose to end their family line. read more: https://www.projectarctos.com/archive/71/resolution-for-self-extinction ------------------------------------------------------------ www.projectarctos.com Project Arctos exists as a space for those who may not feel they belong, who desire guidance in mastering their gifts, and who are ready to be empowered through a supportive community to bring their gifts to a world often not yet ready to welcome them. Project Arctos Ed74 Dad Ministry or Church Ministry — Jonathan Ho

My daughter Hanna was born in June 2023, and for the first time in my life, I became responsible for the life of another person. With this change came questions around my calling in Christ. What should come first, ministry or family life? Is my number one priority in life to raise my children or to go where God is calling me? How do we decide what comes first? read more: https://www.projectarctos.com/archive/74/dad-ministry-or-church-ministry ------------------------------------------------------------ www.projectarctos.com Project Arctos exists as a space for those who may not feel they belong, who desire guidance in mastering their gifts, and who are ready to be empowered through a supportive community to bring their gifts to a world often not yet ready to welcome them. Project Arctos Ed73 Holy Ruthlessness Holy Laziness

In Ephesians 5:10, the Apostle Paul instructs believers to “find out what pleases the Lord.” There’s a very strong active sense to this instruction. Believers are called to take active responsibility with regard to searching out and, with great scrutiny, discerning how exactly they should live in order to please the Lord. Because the overall context of Ephesians 5 frames this “active search” by way of what it means for us to “live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)” (vv. 8-9), there is definitely a moral component to the v. 10 instruction.
