    Podcast 144 - Let The Devil Know What You Know

Arrogant people always act like others don't know anything. I painted that with a broad brush. But I do think there is a lot of truth to that statement. Some of the dumbest people I have ever known were also some of the most arrogant. I have said many times that arrogance and ignorance are twins. Where you find one of those you will always find the other one. I don't want you to think I am just being critical of people. So let me get to my real point. If you have read the Bible then you know that the devil is the most arrogant creature in the Universe. He is also the most ignorant. My first statement about the devil is based on what he said. He was going to exalt his throne above God. How arrogant can you get? My next statement about the devil is based on what he did. The devil tried to do what he had said and got himself thrown out of Heaven. Now that is very, very dumb. But what I am going to talk to you about on this podcast is your interaction with this arrogant, dumb creature. He thinks you don't know anything. He will treat you that way every day of your life, unless you stop him. How do you do that? Open your mouth and tell him what the Word of God says about you!

    Podcast 143 - You Are Not Condemned

    Condemnation seems to be frequent in a lot of sermons. I don't know if this is intentional or not. But I was certainly subjected to a lot of it. In fact, I was a seminary student before I understood that we have been set free from condemnation. Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus." I had read that Scripture many times, but I had no personal revelation of what that meant. What a relief it was one day when I understood that this is the way God intends for us to live in this life. Completely free of condemnation! If that does not seem right to you, then answer this question. Who is condemning you? Then answer these questions. What gives them the right to condemn you? Are you condemning yourself? Why?

    Podcast 142 - You Are Not Inferior to Anyone

    One of the most damaging things that can happen to a child is to hear one of their parents comparing them to one of their siblings. It is almost as bad to be compared to another child at school. There is something in all of us that lets us know these comparisons should not happen. We might not be able to express it. It might not even occur to us. But it is still true that each of us was made in the image and likeness of God. David wrote these beautiful words. "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:14 - NIV) Take that to heart. Believe in yourself. You may never do the things that others do. But that is OK. Please God with your life. That is what really matters.

    Podcast 141 - No Longer Feeling Guilty

    If the preaching where you go to church always seems to be designed to make you feel guilty you are in the wrong church. Being guilty and feeling guilty are two different things. You know if you have sinned. You know if you need to repent. You know if you are not right with God. All of that is true if you have not seared your conscience so badly you are totally deceived. So if you already know when things are wrong in your life, why do you need somebody to constantly tell you that? Get things right with God. Then you are not guilty. Then you certainly don't need somebody making you feel like you are. Listen carefully to this podcast. This teaching can set you free.

    Podcast 140 - I Am A Product Of Grace

    Grace is often associated with sin. Of course there are Scriptures that connect the two. However, grace can apply to every area of life. In this podcast I share the story of an accident I had many years ago. When I speak about this I usually focus on how I received my miracle. But in this podcast I wanted to make it clear that my faith only worked because of the grace of God. This is always the case. Without God's grace we are hopeless. Everything God does for us is an act of grace. Never forget that. Our faith is useless without His grace.

    Podcast 139 - You Are Getting A New House

    If you thought for a moment that I had the money to give you a new house, debt free, surely you would want to know more about what I was planning to give to you. That would be normal. Yet, it seems a lot of people are not that interested in the eternal house they are going to receive. Perhaps the words Jesus spoke about building mansions for us in Heaven comes to mind. That is OK. It is a really intriguing topic. However, I have something much more important in mind. The Bible talks about your body being a house. Some translations call it a tent. What matters is that this body (house) will not last as long as we will. We have a new house waiting for us. Has it ever occurred to you that God put you in the body you have now? That is what the Bible says. So, I don't think there will be a problem with your occupancy in that new body. That is - if Jesus is your Lord.

    Podcast 138 - Your Body Is Not Redeemed

    In this podcast I am making the assumption that you know what it means to be redeemed. This is the word we use to sum up what Jesus did when He died for us. The Scriptures say, "we are bought with a price." That price was the death of Jesus on the cross. Once we know this it becomes very important to know what Jesus bought. Have you ever bought something in a store or online and you couldn't wait to discover what you really had? I have done that. But this is the other side of the story. Jesus knows what He bought. Yet a lot of Christians seem to be confused about it. Some of them have never heard that Jesus paid for more than our salvation. Others have made conclusions that have caused a lot of confusion. I believe this podcast can help both groups. Listen and then tell someone else about it!

    Podcast 137 - Deal With The Fear

    One of the most debilitating things we face in life is fear. This is no coincidence. For the human race it all started in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned. In the first recorded conversation we have between God and Adam, after the fall, fear is mentioned. Adam admitted that he was afraid. What is interesting is that we have no record of him being afraid prior to his disobedience. Give this some thought. If fear is connected to disobedience to God, what should we expect when we obey God? Yet, the reason a lot of people do not obey God is because they are afraid to do what He has told them to do. Is that a bit confusing? Yes it is. However, it is true. So, what should we do about it? I think we need to know more about how to deal with fear. What has God already done for us in this area? Let's find out.
