I Acquired All the Drugs and Alcohol I Could, and I Just Couldn’t Get High with Paul Gerard

Paul Gerard is a chef with a lifetime of experience cooking for discerning clients across New York, in Los Angeles, and internationally. A native of South Brooklyn, Chef Paul Gerard honed his craft in the intense, fast-paced kitchens of 1980s New York, where he began cooking at just 13 years old. His culinary journey led him to New Orleans, where he spent over a decade in some of the city’s most celebrated kitchens, including Restaurant August, Peristyle, Lilette, and Gautreau’s. He later led acclaimed culinary programs as Executive Chef at Soho Grand Hotel, Soho House, and China Grill Management.  On this episode of the Bodyway Intuition Podcast, chef Paul shares a deeply personal conversation about food, grief, addiction, spirituality, healing, and the intelligence of the body. What begins as a discussion about cooking with intention, food as support for grief and fear, and the relationship between taste, smell, and memory evolves into a profound exploration of trauma, recovery, meditation, and spiritual awakening. He reflects on a life of addiction that began at age 11 and shares the pivotal moment that transformed his relationship with drugs and alcohol when, despite taking them, he could no longer get high. Paul describes the experience as evidence that there was something greater than himself, which led him more deeply into meditation, prayer, energy work, and spiritual study. We also discuss emotional sensitivity, intuition through the body, silence, grief, conversations with Radhanath Swami, mythology, India, and learning how to surrender, heal, and reconnect with both the body and the soul. This conversation is a rich reflection on what it means to truly feel, transform, and allow life to open you spiritually.

It’s the Journey of Their Life, and the Struggle, and the Ability to Come Out the Other Side with Tony LeRoy

In this episode of the Bodyway Intuition Podcast, you'll meet Tony LeRoy,  an intuitive counselor with over 25 years of experience helping people discover their own power to create meaningful change in their lives. Drawn to the life and legacy of the popular Clairvoyant Edgar Cayce at an early age, Tony first became aware of his own psychic abilities in adolescence. His work has found its most resonant expression in what he calls "intuitive counseling," a practice that transcends the roles of life coach, therapist, or mystic.  His mission is simple: to help you access your inner strength and embrace your potential. Over his career, Tony has been prominently featured in Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, The New York Times, Goop, The Hollywood Reporter, New York Magazine, and The Huffington Post, as well as in various podcasts, including the Bruce Lee Podcast and That's Total Mom Sense. Tony shares his personal story from recognition of intuition as something that has always been with him to learning in high school that not everyone processes like him, which made him stop going to high school until his mom found out. In college, he told a professor about his experiences, and the professor recommended a book on shamanism, which helped him better understand his intuition. Presently, Tony receives information in several ways, enabling him to share healing messages with his clients.

I Would Lay Down at Night and Just Have Conversations Within with Shanice Battle

In this episode of the Bodyway Intuition Podcast, you'll meet an empath and celebrity hairstylist, Shanice Battle, who has been working professionally in Brooklyn, New York, for eight years. She has worked with Solange, La La, Rosie Perez, and many others. I have also been privy to her services many times, and since our first meeting, she and I have instantly connected through our experience with the non-physical world. Most of the conversation talks about Shanice's ongoing experience that she calls being “In the Spirit”, which is a place of all knowing (clear knowing, Claircognizance), and goes on to share her experiences with Clairvoyance (clear vision) and Clairaudience (clear hearing)—being raised in church and understanding the difference between flesh and Spirit as a child and connecting flesh to emotion as a child and embracing the flesh/brain and allowing them to mesh with the Spirit. She also talks about moving more into her flesh when trauma happened and likens flesh to being a bully to the Spirit. Shanice has an experience of not sleeping, similar to the guest Charlie River on episode 8 of the Bodyway Intuition Podcast, and references that episode. That state of being began happening for her in 2020, and she shares how she experiences and perceives life in that state of consciousness. This conversation ends with her revelation and understanding of those experiences as us as human beings being all one.

  4. For a While, I’ve Had These Intuitions, These Abilities and Such, and I Never Knew They Actually Had Names to Them with Sajdah Ali

For a While, I’ve Had These Intuitions, These Abilities and Such, and I Never Knew They Actually Had Names to Them with Sajdah Ali

In this episode of the Bodyway Intuition Podcast, you'll meet Sajdah Ali, whose work began in the nonprofit world, partnering with companies and governments in developing countries to build strong educational infrastructure. In regions with limited resources but limitless potential, she helped lay the foundation for systems that uplift entire communities and now empowers organizations to be more effective, inclusive, and human-centered. Sajdah is highly intuitive and aware, and took the Clair senses quiz at bodywayintuition.com, which gave her a better understanding of her intuitive experiences, specifically Clairtangent (clear touch), Clairaudience (clear hearing), Clairvoyance (clear vision), Claircognizant (clear knowing), and Clairsentient (clear feeling). During our conversation, we discussed how those experiences show up in her work in special education with children, some of whom are nonverbal, as well as with teachers. We also talk about how she experiences sensations in her head through headaches, feels an elephant's emotions, and has conversations with plant life. She uses all these parts of herself in her global work, traveling as a woman and offering many tips for women on using their Clairs at work, as a mom, a partner, and much more (hence the long episodes). We end with Sajdah sharing her ancestral lineage, rooted in Gullah Geechee, descendants of enslaved West and Central Africans who retained significant African cultural traditions, language, and artistic practices.
