We are a congregation of believers committed to sharing the message of Christ and guiding others towards faith in Him. As a church, we aim to love those in our community with the same love Christ has given to us. The work of our church is aimed at directing others towards the Savior in the hopes that they will encounter the one true God and be transformed by His gracious love for them. Through all we do, say, and preach, we pray that we will shine the light of Christ to all those we encounter.

    I'm So Glad He Stayed on the Cross

    Send us Fan Mail   Mark 15:31-32, “31 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. 32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and [a ]believe.” “Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.” Introduction - Church, there has never been a greater, bolder lie spoken in human history than the words spoken beneath the cross. - The religious leaders looked at Jesus hanging between heaven and earth and mocked Him. - They believed they were witnessing weakness - They thought they were looking at defeat - They thought they were witnessing failure - They thought they had won – the devil is a liar - What they were witnessing was the greatest demonstration of love, mercy, and power the world has ever seen. - And I am excited this morning because Jesus did not listen to the voices beneath the cross - If Jesus had listened to those wicked men… o Abraham’s promise would have failed o Moses’ Passover would have been meaningless o Isaiah’s prophecy would have been broken o My sins would still be on me o His blood sacrifice would not be available to us o Your name and my name would never have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life

    When God is For You

If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans chapter 8 is not written to people sitting on the beach enjoying life. - It is written to believers who were suffering persecution, poverty, rejection, and uncertainty. - Yet Paul lifts their eyes away from their pain and points them toward God's eternal purpose. - He says, "Don't let what you're going through make you forget who you're connected to."

    When The Enemy Comes to Church

The Enemy Can Sit in Church • Mark says, "There was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit." • Notice something. • No one recognized him. • The worship was happening. • The Scripture was being read. • Everything appeared normal. • Sometimes people can be physically present while spiritually disconnected. • There are people sitting beside us every Sunday...but they don't feel connected to anyone. • They leave before fellowship begins.

    Self-Control Thru the Holy Ghost

    Send us Fan Mail   - The phrase “self-control” is a better-used term than the word “temperance.”- At times, “temperance” is assigned only to certain vices some of us might deal with, like drinking, or smoking, or fornication, or adultery- But in Galatians 5:23, “self-control” is meant to address the entire person, including their personal appetites, physical, mental, and spiritual- The ability to be “temperate in all things” is an important Christian virtue- “Self-Control” is marked by growing in grace- There are some who may have the characteristic of “self-control” but it is not a result of the fruit of the Spirit.- Natural self-discipline is just that natural, where it implies that there is not help from God- As we discuss and have discussed the fruit of the Spirit, we are talking about the result of His help and grace, and the outworking of His Spirit in every believer- His help in our lives is for those who have a small amount of personal strength, as well as, those who have a large amount of personal strength- 2 Peter 1:5-7, “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and the brotherly kindness love.”

    A Mother Who Carried The Oil " There's Still Oil In The House!"

    Send us Fan Mail - Today we celebrate the women that prayed us through, cried over us, fed us when we were hungry, sacrificed when nobody noticed, and still came to church with a praise on their lips. - Can we thank God for our mothers today? - Somebody shout:“Thank God for Mama!” - In 2 Kings chapter 4, we find a widow woman in trouble. - Her husband is dead. - Debt collectors are coming. - Her sons are about to be taken. - She is overwhelmed, broken, exhausted, and out of options. - But when the prophet asked her: “What do you have in the house?” - She said: “Nothing… except a pot of oil.” - And that little oil became the miracle that saved her family.

    Fruit of The Spirit-Meekness

    Send us Fan Mail Today WE Talk About Meekness- Three things definitely stand out when examining meekness- One is that it is a very rare quality of character- Two, it is exceptionally precious in the sight of God- Three, it is probably the most challenging feature in the teaching of the fruit of the Spirit- Meekness is not to be confused with weakness- That is why meekness needs to be defined very carefully- A lot of people compare the word meekness with weakness, but their difference is massive- Real meekness requires great strength of character

    Fruit of the Spirit-Faithfulness

    Send us Fan Mail - It is unfortunate that authorized versions of the Bible somewhat confuse the meaning of the seventh fruit of the Spirit by translating it as “faith.”- “Faith” by itself is not a fruit of the Spirit, but is one of God’s gifts- 1 Corinthians 12:7-10, “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by [a ]the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.”- Even the faith that saves is described as the “gift” of God.- Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”- The actual construction of the Word in Galatians 5:22 is “faithfulness,” which is translated in some theological circles as “fidelity.”- Another scripture where the meaning is “faithfulness”, but uses the word “faith” is Romans 3:3, KJV, “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?”- The NKJV says, Romans 3:3, “For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?”- As mentioned in Galatians 5:22, faithfulness, as a characteristic of the fruit of the Spirit, is also trustworthiness, loyalty, reliability, constancy, and/or steadfastness.  - That as we are the body of Christ, faithfulness from God is manifested, and our faithfulness to Him must be grounded in belief in Jesus Christ - Even in the world, faithfulness is the foundation on which our community rests - We see faithfulness being translated into faithlessness on the world stage, involving international treaties and agreements
