Though central to historic Christianity, the virgin birth has long been challenged by skeptics and often passed over uneasily within the church itself.We address common objections: Why do only Matthew and Luke mention it? Was the doctrine borrowed from pagan myths? Did Matthew mistranslate Isaiah 7:14? By carefully reading Scripture, we explore how Isaiah, Matthew, and Luke present the virgin birth as a coherent and deliberate testimony, not a theological afterthought.This study also traces the belief in the early church, showing that the virgin birth was affirmed well before later creeds and councils.
