Cult of Mac

I want to write this review starting with I understand this was a very messy situation! I think there’s right and wrong on both sides for sure. That being said, I’ve been watching the show since the beginning and it’s just not the same without Erfon. I think the cast are amazing people but he brought the energy. I have found myself less of a fan of Apple for years, but I continued listening anyway because of him. Like it or not this was his podcast. He has been here every single week for 15 years. We have seen so many people come and go, but he stuck with it. I know through odd circumstances we are where we are now, but it’s hard for me to stick with it. I am going to try to watch because I really want everyone to succeed, but if I had any advice, we need someone to bring the energy. The reason the show worked was because it was messy, give me the heart takes go off topic!! I loved the casual nature before and I think other people did too.

So many people have mentioned the show is not the same since of departure of Erfon. This is very much apparent. Leander‘s microphone quality sounds like he’s in the bathroom on a bad iPhone. Griffin fades in and out quite often. The show does not have the same vitality. That being said, I think there is room for two competing shows. Erfon‘s new show is not near what it was either. I think he was wrong to air his dirty laundry about this show and I think it’s long wrong for Leander to pretend it didn’t happen. As a listener for more than 15 years, I hope both shows can succeed, but for entertainment value Erfon’s personality makes his new show higher. For a Mac only round up the show is still OK, but very hard to listen to sometimes.

I know you guys are new to podcasting only a few episodes in so far. A couple things you are allowed to swear on podcast you don’t have censor curse words if they slip out, it’s annoying and childish. The Tim Apple thing is boring and tired nobody says that anymore it makes your content seem dated and your not up to speed on what’s going on worst of all it’s just hack and don’t do it. If this wasn’t a new podcast my star rating would be lower. *update* Not only did nothing improve it got worse. Maybe you all should look into a career or hobby that doesn’t involve technology and or talking.

I enjoyed the original CultCast with Erfon and all of the rest, but not as much when Erfon left. I’m now enjoying the new Cultcast he is doing, but ever since Leander et al. Started this, I enjoying this more than I ever did. I’m not sure why exactly, but Cult of Mac is now in my Don’t Miss list. Entertaining, educational, interesting!
