Slightly Above Average is a weekly Podcast built for all guys everywhere. Hosted by John Malecki, Sam Poola, and Joe Meinert, we bring you unfiltered takes on sports, viral culture, content creation, and everyday guy life. Think of it as the loud banter you’d have with your buddies but filmed, funny, and unapologetically entertaining. Whether we’re diving into NFL hot takes, debating the latest memes, or sharing outrageous headlines, our goal is to build a community that feels like sitting in the garage or around a fire pit with your crew, beers in hand. We aren’t experts; we’re just real dudes with strong takes on the topics that matter to the "slightly above average" guy. New episodes drop every Friday on YouTube and all major podcast platforms

    10 Tools We Regret Buying

Every garage has a tool that seemed like a great idea at the store and has done absolutely nothing since. Today, we brought in our own regret purchases, added up what we actually spent, and picked the ten tools that are the biggest wastes of money for the average garage owner. Some are cheap gimmicks. Some are genuinely good tools that make no sense to buy for one project. And at least one of us is about to find out his favorite tool made the list. CookUnity connects you with top chefs from across the US, delivering their signature dishes fresh to your door. With hundreds of meals to choose from, there's something for everyone! Every guy thinks he could build the perfect garage if someone handed him an empty room and a stack of cash. Then he spends ten grand on a toolbox, forgets outlets, and parks his truck in the driveway. Today we each get the same empty 24x24 shell and the same $25,000 — and we're drafting the whole build, one pick at a time, until somebody runs out of money. Once a pick is gone, it's gone. One of us is building a shop, one of us is building a man cave, and one of us is going to forget the floor.
