    Jacob 4:6 - Unshaken Faith Through Revelation

    Jacob 4:6 - "Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea."     Jacob 4:5 - Worshipping the Father Through Jesus Christ

And for this intent we keep the law of Moses, it pointing our souls to him; and for this cause it is sanctified unto us for righteousness, even as it was accounted unto Abraham in the wilderness to be obedient unto the commands of God in offering up his son Isaac, which is a similitude of God and his Only Begotten Son."     Jacob 3:11 - Awake from Spiritual Slumber

    Jacob 3:11 - "O my brethren, hearken unto my words; arouse the faculties of your souls; shake yourselves that ye may awake from the slumber of death; and loose yourselves from the pains of hell that ye may not become angels to the devil, to be cast into that lake of fire and brimstone which is the second death." Elder Daniel H. Wells - "What are our children given unto us for? To raise them up to be angels to the Devil? I think not. None of us would wish that. Still, many take that course which is calculated to lead them in that direction, for want of understanding. We would not do this intentionally. Many a person does a thing that will lead to death and destruction unintentionally.     Jacob 3:2 - The Pleasing Word of God

    Jacob 3:2 - "O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever." Elder Gerald N. Lund - "In the Sermon on the Mount, the Savior said, 'Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.' If something is pure, it is not polluted or tainted by things which do not belong to it. Purity of heart is certainly one of the most important qualifications for receiving inspiration from God.     Jacob 3:1 - "But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction."     Jacob 2:35 - A Home That Heals Rather Than Hurts

    Jacob 2:35 - "Behold, ye have done greater iniquities than the Lamanites, our brethren. Ye have broken the hearts of your tender wives, and lost the confidence of your children, because of your bad examples before them; and the sobbings of their hearts ascend up to God against you. And because of the strictness of the word of God, which cometh down against you, many hearts died, pierced with deep wounds." President George Albert Smith - "Recorded in the Book of Mormon is the statement that He took a whole race of men to task because the hearts of their wives were broken by their carelessness, and their children who had grown up in their homes had lost confidence in them  Jacob 2:35 These were the men of the Church that I am talking about, and the Lord reproved them and gave them to understand that unless they repented of their carelessness they need not hope for His blessings. So I want to say to this group of Priesthood tonight, praying is one thing and prayers are important, but living is the thing that will bring us power with our Heavenly Father. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ will give us influence with our fellows among the children of men. Keeping the commandments of God will give us strength and assurance that not anything else can give us."  President Gordon B.     Jacob 2:30 - The Lord Gives Greater Blessings with Greater Responsibility

    Jacob 2:30 - "For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things." President Brigham Young - "Some of you may ask why the Lord did not perfectly organize at least one Branch of the Church? When a great blessing is bestowed upon a people, and that blessing is not strictly honored and lived to, in proportion to the greatness of that blessing, over and above what has been previously enjoyed, it will be a curse to them. I recollect that Joseph once said to me, when he was talking upon the principle of the Lord's raising up seed to himself upon the earth—a royal Priesthood, a holy nation that can offer sacrifices acceptable to God—'Brother Brigham, it will damn many of the Elders of Israel.' There are but few men in this kingdom that are now worthy of that blessing, yet all who are in full fellowship must enjoy it."
