YOU WERE TAUGHT TO STOP WANTING — What if desire isn’t the obstacle to your spiritual awakening?

In this episode, spiritual thought leaders Christopher Shaw & Aeon Archer explore desire, shame, craving, spiritual awakening, sexuality, pleasure, relationships, addiction, nonduality, consciousness, embodiment, Shakti, Icchā Śakti, and Divine Will through the wisdom of Kashmir Shaivism, Siddha Yoga, Hindu philosophy, psychology, mysticism, and nondual spirituality. Through spiritual teaching and a guided meditation, Christopher asks a provocative question: What if desire isn’t the obstacle to your spiritual awakening—but one of the ways the Divine is trying to awaken through you? Somebody taught you that wanting was the problem. Want too much and you’re selfish. Want the wrong thing and you should be ashamed. Become spiritual enough and eventually you won’t want anything at all. So we learned to suppress the hunger. To become reasonable. Appropriate. Good. Spiritual. But the desire didn’t disappear. It went underground. And sometimes it returned as craving, compulsion, resentment, numbness, secret lives, or the persistent feeling that something inside us had gone missing. Because shame doesn’t eliminate desire. It teaches desire to hide. In the nondual tradition of Kashmir Shaivism, Icchā Śakti is the power of Divine Will—the creative movement of Consciousness toward expression. Shiva does not create because Shiva is incomplete. Creation arises from fullness. So what if our spiritual task is not simply to eliminate desire—but to become conscious enough to discern what our desire is actually revealing? There is a profound difference between: I want this. and I need this to make me whole. The problem may not be what you want. The problem may be what you’ve decided getting it will mean about you. This episode explores what happens when we stop automatically obeying desire, stop automatically suppressing it, and learn instead to sit close enough to the fire to hear what it is saying. ✨ Reflection Questions • What do I actually want—not what I should want? • What have I stopped allowing myself to want? • What do I believe getting what I want will give me? • What do I want beneath what I want? • Is this desire arising from aliveness, from a sense of lack, or from some mixture of both? • Where has shame driven my desire underground? • Can I experience wanting without immediately satisfying or suppressing it? • What is the Divine seeking to express through me? 🔥 Practice of the Week RECOGNIZE. Tell the truth about what you want. No shame. No spiritual editing. No immediate action required. REMAIN. When desire arises, stay with the energy before automatically obeying it or pushing it away. Feel the fire. Become curious about what is underneath it. RESPOND. Ask what an honest response from wholeness would look like. Desire is information—not necessarily instruction. Then ask: What do I actually want, beneath what I want? And finally: What is the Divine seeking to express through me? You were not born to be desireless. You were born to awaken to the Divine within you, through you, and as you—and from that recognition, to participate fully in the extraordinary experience of being alive. Stop apologizing for the fire. It was never yours to put out. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌐 MERKABA TEMPLE Join us live every Sunday: Merkaba Temple Sunday Service Support Merkaba Temple: Donate to Merkaba Temple ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌿 ARCHERSHAW Upcoming Events, Satsangs & Ceremonies: ArcherShaw Events Explore ArcherShaw: ArcherShaw ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌎 MERKABA RETREATS Private 1:1, Couples & Chosen Family Immersions: Merkaba Retreats Watch the new Merkaba Retreats Brand Film on the homepage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎙 LISTEN TO MORE TEACHINGS Listen to ArcherShaw Teachings 📖 READ ESSAYS & SPIRITUAL REFLECTIONS Merkaba Temple Essays & Reflections ❤️‍🔥 SUPPORT MERKABA TEMPLE Venmo: @MerkabaTemple Support Merkaba Temple 🔱 ArcherShaw Temple — Teachings for Sovereign Awakening If this episode served you, share it with someone standing at a threshold of becoming.

WHO MUST WE BECOME? | Spiritual Awakening Is Not the Finish Line

In this episode, spiritual thought leaders Christopher Shaw & Aeon Archer explore spiritual awakening, spiritual transformation, spiritual formation, mystical experience, nonduality, psychedelics, consciousness, embodiment, relationships, ego, Ganesha, personal growth, and spiritual maturity through the wisdom of Hindu philosophy, nondual spirituality, psychology, mysticism, and interspiritual spirituality. Through spiritual teaching and a guided meditation, Christopher asks a provocative question: What if the point of the spiritual path is not to have extraordinary experiences—but to become an extraordinary human being? We have never had greater access to spiritual information. We can meditate, study ancient wisdom, attend retreats, explore psychedelics, practice yoga, awaken Kundalini, experience synchronicities, encounter nonduality, and have profound mystical experiences. We can know our attachment style, our Enneagram number, our Human Design, our trauma history, our dosha, our astrological chart, and our past lives— and still be an a*****e. Because knowing ourselves is not the same thing as transforming ourselves. Spiritual information without spiritual formation just gives the ego a more sophisticated vocabulary. This episode asks what happens when spirituality moves beyond what we know, believe, or experience and begins asking something of the way we actually live. ✨ Reflection Questions • Is my spiritual practice actually changing the way I live? • Where have I confused understanding myself with transforming myself? • What spiritual experience or insight is still asking to become embodied? • Where am I asking “What does this mean?” when I might need to ask “What is this asking of me?” • What situation in my ordinary life may actually be part of my spiritual formation? • What way of being can no longer come with me? • Who must I become to hold the life I keep asking for? • Who is my life asking me to become now? 🔥 Practice of the Week NOTICE THE INITIATION. Pay attention to the ordinary moments that challenge your presence, honesty, humility, patience, courage, or capacity to love. MOVE FROM MEANING TO RESPONSIBILITY. When you find yourself asking, “What does this mean?” add a second question: “What is this asking of me?” WATCH FOR THE OBSTACLE WITHIN. Without shame or self-attack, notice whether an old defense, identity, habit, resentment, or way of being is preventing you from moving forward. PRACTICE EMBODIMENT. Choose one spiritual truth you already know and practice living it rather than learning more about it. ASK THE QUESTION. Not someday. Not when everything makes sense. Not when the obstacle disappears. The Wisdom of the Obstacle: A Teaching of Ganesha

In this episode, spiritual teacher Aeon Archer explores the wisdom of Ganesha, Ganesh Chaturthi, obstacles, surrender, spiritual discernment, recovery, transformation, and the question of what life may be asking of us when the path refuses to unfold according to plan. Following the teaching, Christopher Shaw leads a guided meditation for bringing this wisdom into direct relationship with an obstacle in your own life. Ganesha is one of the most beloved forms of the Divine within Hindu tradition—the elephant-headed Lord of Beginnings, bearer of wisdom, and famously, the Remover of Obstacles. But what if the deeper wisdom of Ganesha is not that every obstacle should be removed? What if some obstacles are meant to be faced? Some moved? Some accepted? Some surrendered? And what if sometimes the obstacle is revealing something about us? This teaching, offered as Merkaba Temple begins its celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, explores the symbolism carried within Ganesha’s extraordinary form: the elephant head, the great ears, the broken tusk, and the tiny mouse upon which this enormous deity rides. Each offers a different spiritual invitation. Listen more deeply. Discern before reacting. Allow what has been broken to become useful. Learn to work skillfully with desire rather than being ruled by it. At the center of the teaching is a distinction that matters far beyond Ganesha: Surrender is not the same thing as abdication. Spiritual surrender does not mean becoming passive in our own lives. There are moments when the obstacle before us requires acceptance, but there are also moments when what is required is a difficult conversation, a boundary, an apology, asking for help, changing direction, beginning again, or taking responsibility for something we have been asking the Divine to do for us. Perhaps the prayer is not only: “Remove this obstacle.” Perhaps it is also: “Show me what is mine to do.” Aeon brings this teaching into the lived experience of recovery and transformation, where the things that once appeared to have destroyed the path can sometimes become part of what gives our lives depth, wisdom, compassion, and purpose. The broken places do not necessarily disappear. But they can become something else. The broken tusk can become the pen. Following the teaching, Christopher Shaw leads a guided meditation on The Wisdom of the Obstacle, inviting you to bring one real obstacle from your life into awareness and listen beneath the urgency to fix it. Rather than asking immediately how to make it disappear, the meditation invites several deeper questions: What am I not seeing? Is this asking me to act, or is this asking me to surrender? Is there something I need to change, or something I need to accept? And finally: What is mine to do now? ✨ Reflection Questions • What obstacle am I currently trying to force my way through?  • What might this obstacle be revealing that I have not yet seen?  • Am I being asked to persist, surrender, wait, or change direction?  • Where might I be contributing to the very obstacle I want removed?  • Am I asking the Divine to do something that is actually mine to do?  • What is the next right action available to me now? 🔥 Practice of the Week NAME THE OBSTACLE. Choose one place in your life that feels blocked. Resist the temptation to work on everything at once. LISTEN BEFORE ACTING. Before deciding what the obstacle means, become quiet enough to notice what it is actually revealing. DISCERN ACTION FROM SURRENDER. Ask whether this moment requires movement, patience, a boundary, a conversation, acceptance, or release. TAKE YOUR PART. Notice where something belongs to you. Spiritual practice is not an escape from participation in your own life. ASK: “WHAT IS MINE TO DO NOW?” You do not need the entire path. You need the next faithful step. 🐘 Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌐 MERKABA TEMPLE Join us live every Sunday:  Merkaba Temple Sunday Service Support Merkaba Temple:  Make an Offering ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌿 ARCHERSHAW Upcoming Events, Satsangs & Ceremonies:  ArcherShaw Events Explore ArcherShaw:  ArcherShaw ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌎 MERKABA RETREATS Private 1:1, Couples & Chosen Family Immersions:  Merkaba Retreats Watch the new Merkaba Retreats Brand Film on the homepage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎙 LISTEN TO MORE TEACHINGS Listen 📖 READ ESSAYS & SPIRITUAL REFLECTIONS Read ❤️‍🔥 SUPPORT MERKABA TEMPLE Venmo: @MerkabaTemple Make an Offering 🔱 ArcherShaw Temple — Teachings for Sovereign Awakening If this episode served you, share it with someone standing at a threshold of becoming.

If We’re Not Alone in the Universe … What Happens to God?

In this episode, spiritual thought leader Christopher Shaw & Aeon Archer explore UAP and extraterrestrial disclosure, spiritual awakening, consciousness, God, nonduality, ego, otherness, fear of the unknown, spiritual discernment, meditation, and cosmic consciousness through the wisdom of Kashmir Shaivism, Hindu philosophy, Christianity, mysticism, psychology, and interspiritual spirituality. Through spiritual teaching and a guided meditation, Christopher asks what discovering extraterrestrial intelligence or life beyond Earth might mean for humanity—and whether the deeper challenge of disclosure is not what we discover in the universe, but whether our consciousness is expansive enough to receive it. What happens to God if we discover we’re not alone? What happens to religion? What happens to the human ego? What happens to our understanding of consciousness, creation, and humanity’s place in the universe? And perhaps the most uncomfortable question: If we can barely tolerate the “Other” here on Earth, what makes us think we’re ready to meet the Other somewhere else? Inspired in part by Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, Christopher begins with the possibility of extraterrestrial disclosure—but quickly moves into much deeper territory. Because the real spiritual question isn’t simply whether intelligent life exists elsewhere. It is: Can you remain whole when you discover that reality is larger than the story you told about yourself? Again and again, human beings have discovered that we are not quite as central as we imagined. The Earth was not the center of the cosmos. Our sun is one star among billions. Our galaxy is one among billions more. And perhaps someday we may discover that consciousness—or intelligent life—is not exclusively ours either. Maybe we aren’t the main character. For the ego, that can feel threatening. For the mystic, it may feel strangely familiar. Kashmir Shaivism offers a radically different understanding of reality: consciousness is not something possessed exclusively by the human mind. Consciousness is fundamental. Shiva is infinite awareness; Shakti is the creative power through which that awareness manifests as the astonishing diversity of existence. From that perspective, discovering another form of conscious life would not make the Divine smaller. No discovery can make God smaller. It can only make our idea of God bigger. But this episode is ultimately not only about what might be somewhere in the sky. It is about otherness itself. The stranger. The person whose religion, identity, culture, worldview, or experience does not fit comfortably inside our own. The parts of ourselves we exile because they do not fit the person we thought we were supposed to become. Because perhaps disclosure is already happening. Every time reality becomes larger than your worldview: disclosure. Every time another human being refuses to fit inside your expectations: disclosure. Every time spiritual practice reveals something about yourself you did not know—or did not want to know: disclosure. Every awakening is disclosure. And awakening has always asked something difficult of us: Can we encounter something we do not understand without immediately needing to fear it, dismiss it, worship it, control it, or force it into a familiar category? Can we remain grounded? Can we remain discerning? Can we remain curious? Can we say: “I don’t know.” And remain open? Following the teaching, Aeon Archer leads a guided meditation on Meeting the Other, moving from someone you struggle to understand, to the parts of yourself you may have made “Other,” and finally outward beneath the immensity of the cosmos. The meditation culminates in the nondual possibility at the heart of the teaching: Perhaps there was never an Other. Shiva looking into Shiva. God encountering God. The One wearing another face. ✨ Reflection Questions • What happens inside me when I encounter something I cannot explain?  • Where do I mistake unfamiliarity for danger?  • Who have I made “Other” because they challenge my worldview?  • What parts of myself have I exiled because they do not fit my identity?  • Can I say “I don’t know” without immediately needing an answer?  • How large is my understanding of God willing to become? 🔥 Practice of the Week NOTICE THE OTHER. Pay attention to the people, ideas, experiences, and parts of yourself that trigger immediate resistance. FEEL BEFORE YOU REACT. Notice what happens in your body when your existing map is challenged. DISCERN WITHOUT CLOSING. Openness does not require believing everything. Discernment does not require shutting the door. PRACTICE “I DON’T KNOW.” Allow uncertainty to become a spiritual practice rather than a problem that must immediately be solved. LOOK AGAIN. Because the sacred may not always arrive wearing familiar clothing. And perhaps the sky is not falling. It may simply be opening.

Stop Waiting for Your Life to Begin: How to Take the Next Right Step

In this episode, spiritual thought-leaders Aeon Archer and Christopher Shaw explore spiritual awakening, presence, surrender, overcoming overwhelm, finding clarity, mindfulness, meditation, gratitude, life purpose, and letting go of outcomes through the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, Karma Yoga, Psalms, Taoism, and interspiritual spirituality. Through spiritual teaching and guided meditation, they explore how to stop waiting for certainty, return to the present moment, and take the next right step. How much of your life have you spent waiting? Waiting for clarity.  Waiting until you feel ready.  Waiting for something to change.  Waiting for proof that what you're doing is actually working. Sometimes the body is here while the mind is trying to live in ten different futures. And eventually, we become overwhelmed. Aeon explores a different possibility: What if clarity doesn't always come before movement? What if sometimes clarity is the fruit of movement? Drawing from the Bhagavad Gita, he explores the practice of becoming established in presence and then acting—without making our peace dependent upon the outcome. We plant. We water. We tend. But we cannot pull on the branches to make the fruit appear faster. The Psalms offer another image: a lamp illuminating the path beneath our feet. Not a floodlight revealing the entire road. Just enough light for the next step. And the Tao reminds us that the journey begins exactly where we already are. This leads to the deeper question at the heart of the episode: If the life I imagine never arrives exactly as I picture it, can I still recognize the sacredness of the life I am living now? Because surrender is not resignation. Surrender says: “I will participate fully, but I will stop demanding that life follow my script.” Following Aeon's teaching, Christopher leads a guided meditation to help you return to the body, bring one area of uncertainty into awareness, and ask: What is mine to do now? Not the whole journey. Not the five-year plan. Just the next right step. And then... release the fruit. ✨ Reflection Questions • Where am I waiting for certainty before moving?  • What outcome am I gripping too tightly?  • Am I inhabiting the life I have—or waiting for another life to begin?  • Where has vision become grasping?  • What is mine to do now? 🔥 Practice of the Week BECOME ESTABLISHED. Return to your body and the present moment. ASK. “What is mine to do now?” TAKE THE NEXT RIGHT STEP. Do the small, honest thing that is yours to do. RELEASE THE FRUIT. Let go of controlling the outcome. Because this life is not a waiting room. And sometimes the path becomes visible only because we begin walking.

Suit Up. Show Up. Love Anyway. | Because Love Will Inconvenience You

In this episode, spiritual thought-leaders Christopher Shaw and Aeon Archer explore what it means to show up for the people we love, for ourselves, and for the life we say matters to us through spiritual awakening, conscious relationships, healthy boundaries, self-awareness, devotion, meditation, nervous system awareness, personal responsibility, and embodied love. Drawing from Kashmir Shaivism, yogic philosophy, contemplative spirituality, and interspiritual wisdom, this provocative spiritual teaching and guided meditation examines the difference between genuine self-care and avoidance, between a sacred boundary and a frightened barricade, and between love as something we feel and love as something we actually do. We live in a culture increasingly fluent in the language of boundaries, protecting our peace, honoring our energy, nervous system regulation, and capacity. These are important practices. But sometimes what we call a boundary is avoidance. Sometimes what we call protecting our peace is protecting our comfort. Sometimes what we call honoring our capacity simply means: “I don’t want to.” And sometimes self-care can become cowardice wearing self-care’s clothes. That may sting. It’s supposed to. Not because shame transforms us, but because sometimes awakening requires enough honesty to recognize the places where our spiritual language has become an explanation for why we didn’t love. Christopher explores the Kashmir Shaivism teaching of āṇava mala — the primordial contraction through which infinite Consciousness experiences itself as small, separate, and limited. My time. My energy. My comfort. My plans. My Saturday. Against this contraction is Spanda — the sacred pulse or movement of Consciousness into life. Śiva becomes creation. Shakti moves. The Divine shows up. And perhaps we are being asked to do the same. This episode asks us to examine the places where we have stopped showing up — for our relationships, our communities, our commitments, and even ourselves. Because every promise we keep to ourselves strengthens our capacity to keep promises to life. Discomfort does not always mean stop. Resistance does not always mean wrong. Inconvenience does not always mean misalignment. Sometimes discomfort simply means: Love is asking something of me. And eventually love will. Love will interrupt dinner. Love will ask you to make the drive. Love will ask you to answer the phone. Love will ask you to sit beside the bed. Love will ask you to apologize first. Love will ask you to keep a promise after the inspiration has disappeared. And sometimes love will ask you to say no, establish the boundary, leave, or rest. The question is not simply: “Did I say yes?” The deeper question is: “What made the decision?” Love or contraction? Truth or convenience? Wisdom or fear? Following Christopher’s teaching, Aeon Archer leads a guided meditation into the sacred pulse of Spanda, inviting you to listen inwardly for where love is asking you to show up and to embody that awareness through one concrete act. You are invited to remember: Love that never inconveniences you isn’t much of a spiritual practice. Love crosses the distance. Suit up. Show up. Love anyway. ✨ Reflection Questions • Where in my life am I being asked to show up more fully? • Where might I be calling something a boundary when it is actually avoidance? • When I say, “I don’t have the capacity,” is that always true — or am I sometimes protecting my comfort? • Who in my life needs more than my good intentions? Who needs my presence? • What promise to myself have I repeatedly postponed? • Is there someone I did not show up for who I now need to repair with? • What is one inconvenient act of love I already know I am being called to make? 🔥 Practice of the Week: Suit Up. Show Up. Love Anyway. 1️⃣ NOTICE Notice the moment you begin creating reasons not to show up. Don’t immediately judge yourself or override the feeling. Simply notice the contraction. 2️⃣ PAUSE Before automatically saying yes or no, take one conscious breath. Then ask: “Is this a genuine limit — or am I protecting my comfort?” 3️⃣ DISCERN Listen beneath the explanation. Is this love or contraction? Truth or convenience? Wisdom or fear? You probably know more quickly than you think. 4️⃣ SHOW UP Choose one concrete act. Make the call. Send the message. Make the drive. Keep the promise. Have the conversation. Return to your practice. Don’t wait until you feel perfectly ready. 5️⃣ LOVE ANYWAY Let love become behavior. Not perfection. Not self-abandonment. Not people-pleasing. Presence. Participation. Devotion. Again. And again. Awareness Beneath the Personality: Who Are You Without Your Story?

In this episode, spiritual thought-leaders Christopher Shaw and Aeon Archer explore spiritual awakening beyond the ego and personality through consciousness, self-awareness, identity, meditation, mindfulness, nervous system healing, trauma, attachment, non-duality, and personal transformation. Drawing from Kashmir Shaivism, yogic philosophy, contemplative spirituality, and interspiritual wisdom, this spiritual teaching and guided meditation explores how the personality forms, why we become attached to our identities, what happens when those identities begin to dissolve, and how to discover the deeper awareness that remains present beneath every role, story, fear, and version of ourselves. Give yourself the leniency of the human condition. Many of us enter the spiritual path believing that if we become conscious enough, healed enough, or awakened enough, eventually we will stop being so human. We won't get triggered. We won't become attached. We won't feel jealous, defensive, confused, afraid, or hurt. And then our humanity inevitably appears again, and we think: I should know better than this. I've done too much work to still feel this way. If I were truly awake, this wouldn't affect me. But awareness does not remove the human condition. Awareness gives us a compassionate place from which to experience the human condition. Aeon explores the personality not as an enemy or a “false self” that must be destroyed, but as an extraordinary act of intelligence—a structure consciousness developed as it learned how to navigate love, safety, belonging, vulnerability, relationship, fear, and survival. The difficulty begins when we mistake that structure for the entirety of who we are. Our roles become identities. Our adaptations become identities. Our accomplishments become identities. Even our spirituality can become an identity. And when life threatens one of those identities, the personality can experience that change almost like death. This episode explores another possibility: What if awakening isn't about destroying the personality? What if freedom comes when the personality can finally rest inside something greater? Following Aeon's teaching, Christopher Shaw leads a guided meditation into the awareness beneath personality, thought, emotion, and identity, helping you experience the difference between what you are experiencing and the awareness experiencing it. You are invited to remember: I have a story, but I am more than my story. I have a personality, but I am more than my personality. I experience fear, but fear does not define me. I can honor who I have been while allowing who I am becoming to emerge. So’ham Shivoham. I am That. I am Shiva. ✨ Reflection Questions • Which identities or roles have I become most attached to? • Where do I hear myself thinking, “I should be beyond this by now”? • What parts of my personality originally developed to help me feel safe, loved, or accepted? • Where might I be protecting an identity rather than responding to what is actually happening? • Who am I when I don't need to defend, prove, perform, or explain myself? • What remains when I allow my stories about myself to become quiet? 🔥 Practice of the Week: Awareness Beneath the Personality 1️⃣ Notice Throughout your week, notice moments of contraction. You become defensive. You need reassurance. You want to control an outcome. You desperately want someone to understand you. You become afraid of what a change might mean about who you are. Don't judge it. Simply notice. 2️⃣ Pause Before reacting, take one conscious breath. Give yourself the leniency of being human. Then ask: “What am I protecting right now?” 3️⃣ Listen Instead of trying to eliminate the frightened or defensive part of yourself, become curious about it. What is it afraid might happen? What does it believe it needs to preserve? What did it once learn was necessary for love, safety, or belonging? Listen without trying to fix it. 4️⃣ Remember Ask yourself: “Who is aware of this?” Notice the space around the fear. The awareness around the story. The consciousness witnessing the personality. Rest there for a moment. 5️⃣ Choose Then ask: “What would I choose if I didn't need this moment to prove who I am?” You don't have to destroy the personality. Let awareness lead... and allow the personality to become its instrument. Again. And again. How to Open Your Heart & Live from Love | Spiritual Teaching + Guided Meditation

In this episode of Merkaba Temple, spiritual teachers Christopher Shaw and Aeon Archer explore how to open your heart and live from love instead of fear through spiritual awakening, meditation, mindfulness, healing emotional wounds, trauma and the nervous system, compassion, forgiveness, healthy boundaries, conscious living, and personal transformation. Drawing from Christian spirituality and the teachings of Jesus, Buddhism, the Bhagavad Gita, Kashmir Shaivism, non-duality, and interspiritual wisdom, this spiritual teaching and guided meditation explores how to heal a guarded heart, remain open without abandoning yourself, and embody love in everyday life. Our hearts close for good reasons. Betrayal. Loss. Rejection. Trauma. Disappointment. Grief. The nervous system learns to protect us. We become more careful. We trust less. We risk less. And eventually, the very defenses that once helped us survive can become barriers to intimacy, connection, and freedom. But an open heart is not a naïve heart. It has boundaries. It has discernment. It knows how to say no. It knows when to walk away. It simply refuses to let wisdom become bitterness. Christopher explores the spiritual journey from the closed heart, to the courageous heart, to the liberated heart—and offers a provocative possibility: What if the spiritual path is not primarily about becoming more enlightened? What if it is about becoming more open? Following the teaching, Aeon Archer leads a guided open-heart meditation designed to help you recognize where fear may have caused your heart to become guarded, honor the parts of yourself that learned to protect you, and gently become more available to Love. The world teaches us to harden. The soul teaches us to deepen. ✨ Reflection Questions • Where in my life has my heart closed in order to protect me? • What has that protection cost me? • Where have healthy boundaries become walls? • Can I remain loving without abandoning myself? • What would change this week if I lived from Love instead of fear? 🔥 Practice of the Week: The Open Heart Practice 1️⃣ Notice Throughout your day, notice the moments when you contract. Someone disappoints you. Someone challenges you. Fear appears. You feel yourself pulling away. Simply notice. 2️⃣ Pause Before reacting, take one conscious breath and ask: “Am I responding from Love... or from fear?” No judgment. Just awareness. 3️⃣ Discern Living from Love does not always mean saying yes. Sometimes Love says no. Sometimes Love creates a boundary. Sometimes Love tells the truth. Sometimes Love walks away.
