From Orphan to Heir — What Annie Teaches Us About the Kingdom | Kingdom Offerings

What if a Broadway musical tells the story of your spiritual inheritance better than you realized? In this episode, Dave Scherrer delivers on his promise from last week — a "Cracker Jack" illustration of what it means to have your status raised in the Kingdom of God. The story of Annie — moving from a miserable orphanage under a hateful housemother to the mansion of the wealthiest man on earth — is a vivid picture of what happens when God adopts us as His own. Our hard-knock life of darkness is transformed by the brightness of the Son coming up tomorrow. Dave unpacks Romans 8:17, 1 Peter 1:4, and the Greek word for "heirs" — those who receive their allotted possession by right of sonship. He makes a remarkable claim: this doctrine of co-heirship is the only theology of any mainstream religion that entertains such a concept. All the wealth the King has, all the power He wields, all the influence He carries — we inherit as our own. And here's the line that will stay with you: "As long as the King lives. And our King lives forever!" === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — The Promised "Cracker Jack" Illustration 0:30 Annie: From Orphanage to Mansion 1:15 Hard-Knock Life to the Sun Coming Up Tomorrow 2:00 Romans 8:17 — Sharing in His Sufferings and His Glory 2:45 The Only Theology That Makes You an Heir 3:30 The Greek Word for "Heirs" — By Right of Sonship 4:15 Ta Panta — Christ Inherits the Whole Cosmos 5:00 Co-Heirs: What Belongs to Jesus Belongs to Us 5:30 Head High, Chin Up — Walking Worthy 6:15 Preview: The Worthy Walk 6:30 Closing — Peace === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Romans 8:17 — We share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory 1 Peter 1:4 — An inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade, kept in heaven Psalm 2:7 — You are my Son; today I have become your Father Hebrews 1:2 — The Son has been appointed heir of all things Ephesians 1:6 — Accepted in the Beloved === ABOUT THIS PODCAST === Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. The Four Blessings of the Kingdom — What You Actually Receive in Christ | Kingdom Offerings

The gospel isn't about me. But that doesn't mean there aren't real, breathtaking blessings that come when we enter His Kingdom. In this Holy Week episode, Dave Scherrer steps back to look at the big picture. After weeks of unpacking our new status as co-heirs with Christ, Dave introduces a framework he returns to again and again: the Four Blessings of the Kingdom. Salvation. Community. Purpose. Status. These are not prosperity promises or comfort theology -- they are the real, beautiful offerings that come upon us when we turn from this fallen world and pledge our faith to the King. Dave begins where Jesus himself began -- in Capernaum, where the crowds begged him to stay, and Jesus said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose." That purpose led straight to Holy Week -- to the betrayal, the trials, the cross, and the resurrection. All of it so that we might be called children of God and co-heirs. And it all starts with the simplest, most staggering promise Paul gives us: we will see Him face to face. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction -- The Good News of the Kingdom 0:45 Luke 4:42-43 -- Jesus' Central Purpose 1:30 Holy Week -- The King's Road to the Cross 2:15 The Gospel Is Not About Me 3:00 But There Are Real Kingdom Blessings 3:30 Face to Face -- 1 Corinthians 13:12 4:00 The Four Blessings of the Kingdom 4:45 Our New Status -- No More Social Stigma 5:15 Preview: A Word Picture From the Movies 5:30 Closing -- This Is Kingdom Offerings === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Luke 4:42-43 -- I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns; for I was sent for this purpose 1 Corinthians 13:12 -- Now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face === ABOUT THIS PODCAST === Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. You Will Reign with Christ — What Scripture Actually Says | Kingdom Offerings

Christ is King. Not king with a small "k" — the King of all kings, whose rule is everlasting. That's a grand theme of the Bible. But there's a related theme that might surprise you: in some way, we too will rule with Him. In part 2 of this mini-series, Dave Scherrer walks through five key passages that reveal a two-fold Kingdom reality. First, even now, Jesus sends us out with the same authority given to Him — that's what the Great Commission is. Second, Scripture promises that we will one day be co-regents with Christ in His eternal Kingdom. This isn't "little gods" theology. This is the astonishing biblical truth that the King of kings has invited His people into His rule. And that truth gives us peace, hope, power, and intentional purpose — on earth as it will be in heaven. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — Christ is King with a capital K 0:30 His Kingdom will know no end 1:00 A related theme — we will rule with Him 1:30 This is NOT "little gods" theology 2:00 Scripture: Luke 22:28-30, 2 Timothy 2:11-12, Revelation 5:9-10 3:15 The two-fold Kingdom reality 3:45 NOW — The Great Commission and shared authority (Matthew 28:18-20) 4:15 ETERNAL — Co-regents with Christ (Daniel 7:27) 4:45 More than we can ask or think or imagine 5:00 Victory, peace, hope, and intentional purpose === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Luke 22:28-30 — "I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones." 2 Timothy 2:11-12 — "If we endure, we will also reign with him." You Are a Co-Heir With Christ — What That Actually Means | Kingdom Offerings

What does it mean to be a co-heir with Christ? Most of us have heard that we're "children of God," but do we actually understand what that inheritance looks like? In this episode, Dave Scherrer picks up where the last two Kingdom Offerings episodes left off — our status as children of God — and follows it to its stunning conclusion: we are co-heirs with Jesus. In the first century, adoption into a royal family was not symbolic. It was legal, binding, and complete. The adopted child received the same name, the same rights, and the same inheritance as the blood children. God set aside the bloodline requirement and opened His royal family to everyone — Jew and Gentile alike. But here's the part that matters most: God didn't give you a royal inheritance so you'd sit quietly in the corner. He gave it so you'd step into your calling with confidence and purpose. Dave closes with a beautiful word picture from Revelation 22 — like the moon, we have no light of our own, but we will shine forever reflecting the glorious light of Christ. Part 1 of a mini-series on co-heirs and co-rulers. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — Kingdom Status and Benefits 0:30 Recap: Our Status as Children of God 1:00 Romans 8:14-19a — Adopted as His Own 2:00 First-Century Adoption — Same Rights, Same Inheritance 2:45 God Set That Aside 3:15 Your Inheritance Is Not for Sitting in the Corner 4:00 Co-Heirs of His Glory — How Can That Be? 4:30 The Moon Metaphor — Reflecting the Light of Christ 5:15 Co-Heirs Reflecting His Glory Back to Him 5:45 Preview: Kingdom Co-Rulers 6:00 Closing — Peace === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Romans 8:14-19a — Led by the Spirit, adopted as children, co-heirs with Christ John 9:4 — Quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us Revelation 22:3, 5 — The Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever Philippians 2:13 — God gives you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him === ABOUT THIS PODCAST === Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Stop Walking in Shame — You Are Royalty in Christ | The King's Mantle

Do you ever feel disqualified from God's family? Like you've failed too many times, drifted too far, and maybe God has forgotten about you? The Liar whispers that you don't deserve your status as a child of God. But how you feel is not a measurement of spiritual reality. In this episode, Dave Scherrer shares a powerful Kingdom parable about a painting hanging above the mantle in God's family room — a hologram that shifts between your image, the image of Jesus, and every believer who has ever lived, all found together in Christ. Your adoption into God's family was accomplished in Christ, not in you. So stand tall. You are a prince or princess of the Living King of Kings — and the Father brags about you every single day. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — How do you feel about your place in the Kingdom? 0:45 The whisper of shame and guilt 1:30 Scripture: You ARE children of God (1 John 3:1, John 1:12-13, Galatians 3:26) 2:30 The Liar's strategy — condemnation and reduction 3:15 Feelings are not a measurement of spiritual reality 3:45 The painting above the mantle — a Kingdom parable 5:00 The hologram shifts — your image, Jesus' image, all believers in Christ 6:00 Hidden with Christ in heaven — right now 6:30 Go and act regal — closing challenge === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === 1 John 3:1 — "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" You're Still a Princess — A Kingdom Parable About Identity | Kingdom Offerings

Can you lose your identity as a child of the King? A princess dresses in rags, eats spoiled food, and wanders beyond the castle walls — but is she still royalty? Dave Scherrer tells an original Kingdom parable that asks one question three times, and the answer changes everything. In this episode, Dave introduces Princess Lauriana — the only daughter of the King of kings. Her curiosity leads her from the castle basement to the kitchen scraps to life outside the walls among thieves. At every step, Dave pauses to ask: "Is she still a princess?" The answer is always yes. Because identity isn't determined by behavior — it's determined by birth. And the King never stops watching for His daughter to come home. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — The King of Kings 0:45 The Castle and the Kingdom 1:30 Meet Princess Lauriana 2:15 The Basement Discovery — Dressed in Rags 3:15 First Question: Is She Still a Princess? 4:00 The Kitchen — Eating Spoiled Food 5:00 Second Question: Is She Still a Princess? 5:30 The Tunnel — Beyond the Walls 6:15 Third Question: Is She Still a Princess? 6:45 The King Watches for Her Return 7:15 The Kingdom of God Is Like This === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Luke 15:20 — The father watching for his prodigal son 1 John 3:1 — See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God Romans 8:38-39 — Nothing can separate us from the love of God Galatians 4:6-7 — You are no longer a slave, but God's child and heir Ephesians 1:5 — He predestined us for adoption to sonship 2 Timothy 2:13 — If we are faithless, He remains faithful === ABOUT THIS PODCAST === Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Disease, Demons, Death — Nothing Is Outside Jesus' Authority | Matthew 8 & 9

Disease. Nature. Demons. Sin. Death. Despair. In just two chapters of Matthew, Jesus demonstrates His absolute authority over every single one of them. The Greek words are Ta Panta — "The All" — and they describe the total, unqualified sovereignty of Jesus over all things. In this episode, Dave Scherrer takes you on a rapid-fire survey through Matthew 8 and 9 to make one unmistakable point: Jesus has proven authority over the entirety of the human condition. But here's the part most people miss — the point isn't that Jesus can make all the bad things go away. The leper probably got sick again. The little girl eventually died. The real point is that nothing can hinder God's plan to populate His Kingdom with redeemed, free-willed citizens who worship the King forever. That is a hope worth dying for — and a hope worth living for. === CHAPTERS === 0:00 Introduction — Ta Panta 1:00 Authority Over Disease (Matt 8:2-3) 2:15 Authority Over Nature (Matt 8:24-27) 3:30 Authority Over Demons (Matt 8:28-32) 4:45 Authority Over Sin (Matt 9:1-8) 6:00 Authority Over Death (Matt 9:18-26) 7:00 Authority Over Despair (Matt 9:20-22) 8:15 The Point Most People Miss 10:00 A Hope Worth Living For 11:15 Closing — Kingdom Offerings === CONNECT WITH US === Website: https://100foldministries.org Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribe Email Dave: dave@100foldministries.org === SCRIPTURE REFERENCES === Matthew 8:2-3 — Jesus heals a man with leprosy Matthew 8:24-27 — Jesus calms the storm Matthew 8:28-32 — Jesus drives out demons (Gadarenes) Matthew 9:1-8 — Jesus forgives and heals a paralyzed man Matthew 9:18-26 — Jesus raises a synagogue leader's daughter Matthew 9:20-22 — Jesus heals the woman with bleeding === ABOUT THIS PODCAST === Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Two Blind Men Saw What the Crowd Could Not — Matthew 20 Unpacked

Two blind men sitting by the road shouted something the crowd didn't want to hear: "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" The crowd told them to shut up. Jesus stopped and asked them a question that changes everything: "What do you want me to do for you?" In this episode of the "Jesus the Mystery" series, Dave Scherrer unpacks Matthew 20:29-34 and reveals what's really happening beneath the surface of this healing story. These blind men could see what the crowd could not — that Jesus was the Messiah King. And when Jesus healed their eyes, He answered their deeper need too. They received their sight and followed Him.
