When Your Heart Hurts – Scriptures for Grievers Sometimes, you simply need someone to remind you that God sees your pain, He understands your heart, and He has not left you alone. Today, I’m sharing a collection of Bible verses that speak to grief, pain, comfort, peace, hope, and the presence of God. You don't have to have the right words. Let God’s Word speak to your heart. First, I want to say this: I am so sorry for your loss. I’m grateful God brought you here so we can walk together through this season of loss. My prayer is that you will find healing and hope through our time together in this series, Grief: When Your Heart Hurts: Scriptures for Grievers So today, rather than giving you a lot of answers, I want to give you God’s Word. “Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.” Psalm 1-2, 11 “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. God’s dwelling place is now among the people and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away very tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ Rev. 21:1-4 Friend, if you're grieving today, I want you to know this: You don't have to forget what you've lost in order to find hope again.
