    Episode 43: Spooktober- They count and cry at night...The legends of Okiku & La Llorona!

    Hello friends and fiends!Happy Spooky season! This month we shall be telling you scary stories all the way from our den in the Twin Shadows!!We continue Spooktober 2026 with the sad and scary legends of two tragic women: Okiku and La Llorona !Tonight we are traveling to two different countries. Beautiful countries with rich and wonderful cultures. No matter the time or place, tragedy is always as painful...Two beautiful women, two victims, in their own unique and unfair ways. One became a martyr, the other one a tragic symbol of pain and what it does to one.Both, birth fear in the hearts of those unlucky enough to hear them....counting....or crying. Do not try to help them, for it will probably be the last thing you do.....Just cover your ears, and run! Those tears... these cries....Should you stop? Help?But...they are in distress!The answer is simple: don't listen to them, listen to your gut....and pray your feet don't fail you!Let us know your thoughts (or encounters!!) in the comments below!Now, dim the lights, grab your blanket, a snack and enjoy!Just cover your ears and hope you don't hear a damsel in distress tonight....Stay kind and stay spooky!Love, Martha & Jo. This month we shall be telling you scary stories all the way from our den in the Twin Shadows!!We continue Spooktober 2026 with the spooky and eerie legend of the Black Shuck! It is said that in the foggy, dark rural areas of East Anglia a spectral hound is roaming... It looks like a devilish, black and enormous dog with bright red eyes. A grim, of sorts one may say... And that's exactly what he is considered to be, for he is silent, like a creeping demise. His paws make no sound...and if you do not avert your eyes when you meet him, the legend says you will be surely meeting the boatman by the end of the year....Those fangs... these eyes....Is it a cryptid? With multiple sightings throughout the years -some even just a few years ago- and a horrific accident on the Silver bridge, the legend of this frightening cryptid lives on and on. Those wings... these eyes.... Is it a cryptid? A bird? A bad omen? Or just a good campfire scary story? It is up to you to decide! Let us know your thoughts (or encounters!!) in the comments below!
