She Started Lifting at 60. At 74 She Became Classic Universe Woman | Renee Landers

One of the most inspiring women I've ever had on this podcast—and that's saying a lot because I've been fortunate to interview some truly incredible guests. At 74 years old, Renee Landers has just been crowned **Classic Universe Woman**, after entering her very first beauty pageant. But that's only the latest chapter in an extraordinary story. Following spinal fusion surgery, Renee didn't start lifting weights until she was 60. Then, at 69, during the COVID pandemic, she entered her first bodybuilding competition. Since then, she's competed on stages around the world, proving that it's never too late to reinvent yourself. Renee lives by one simple philosophy: **the power of saying yes**. She embraces new opportunities, takes chances, travels the world solo, surrounds herself with positive people, and refuses to let age define what's possible. In this inspiring conversation, we talk about: * Her daily routine, training, and nutrition * How she recovered from spinal fusion and built incredible strength * Her bodybuilding journey and competitions * Winning the Classic Universe Woman title * The freedom and confidence she's found through solo travel * Why saying "yes" has transformed her life If you've ever wondered whether it's too late to chase a dream, this episode is all the proof you'll ever need. The Journey From Burnout to Purpose | Kaylan Gonzalez | The Aging Games Podcast

Today's podcast is with my friend Kaylan Gonzalez, whom I first met on the set of Magdalena's Land. He later worked with me on The Last Sun, and over time I came to learn about the extraordinary journey that completely transformed his life. Kaylan began his career as a firefighter in Gibraltar. Strong, disciplined, and dedicated, he seemed outwardly stable, yet internally he reached a point where he became mentally and physically stuck. There was a period when he could barely get out of bed for months. Before anything else changed, he attended a 10 day silent retreat in Madrid. That experience became a turning point, opening his eyes to a completely different way of understanding himself, his mind, and his purpose. Afterward, he stepped away from his former life and spent two years traveling through Central and South America. During this time, he immersed himself in learning from Indigenous communities, Mayan traditions, and shamans, exploring spiritual practices, healing rituals, and new ways of seeing the world. He also experienced a period where he spent time confined in a cell, an event that became another profound chapter in his personal transformation rather than the end of his story. In this episode, we talk about releasing trauma that the body can hold onto, whether personal, ancestral, or even rooted in birth experiences. We explore Latin American rituals, spiritual awakening, and the importance of living with joy, playfulness, and authenticity instead of staying stuck in fear or old patterns. Kaylan's message is powerful: you are never truly trapped. Even the darkest periods can become the doorway to purpose, healing, and a completely new life. This is a deeply human conversation about resilience, transformation, and rediscovering what it means to feel alive. Why Light, Nature, and Environment May Matter More Than You Think | Dr. Kathleen Horstmeyer

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kathleen Horstmeyer, healthcare educator and Director of Certification and Continuing Education at the Institute of Applied Quantum Biology. With a background that includes years working inside conventional medical systems, she shares the personal and professional journey that led her toward a deeper interest in natural health, environmental medicine, and the emerging field of quantum biology. We talk about how light, circadian rhythms, and our relationship with nature influence cellular function and overall well-being. Dr. Horstmeyer explains why she believes modern health challenges cannot be understood through chemistry alone, and how factors like sunlight exposure, biological rhythms, and environmental inputs play a crucial role in how our bodies regulate themselves. She also shares personal stories from her own life, including how she became interested in phototherapy technologies designed to interact with the body's natural signaling processes. Throughout the conversation, she reflects on the importance of supporting the body's innate capacity to restore balance rather than relying solely on symptom-based approaches. How Sunlight Helped Her Lose 65 Pounds | Autoimmune Healing Story | Natalie Collier

In this episode, I sit down with Nat (@natthesunwhore) to talk about her incredible health transformation and the role sunlight played in changing her life. Nat shares how, after caring for her mother who suffered from Lewy body dementia, she went through a very difficult period following her mother's passing. The stress and grief eventually led to Hashimoto's, significant weight gain, and declining health, leaving her feeling exhausted and disconnected from her body. Everything began to change when she discovered the power of sunlight and circadian health. By consistently getting morning sun, afternoon sun, and doing her workouts outdoors, her body started responding in ways she never expected. Over time she lost 65 pounds, improved her energy, and began feeling better than she had in years. In this conversation we talk about: • Nat's journey through grief, autoimmune issues, and weight gain • How sunlight and circadian rhythms can influence metabolism and hormones • The role of melanin and why it matters for energy and skin health • Her supplement Sun Scoop, designed to support melanin production and help maintain a natural tan • Her 8-week group program focused on circadian health and sunlight practices • Why sunlight exposure to different areas of the body may support hormone balance Nat's story is a powerful reminder that sometimes the most fundamental elements of health — light, movement, and time outdoors — can have a profound impact on how we feel and function. Your Body Odor Is Trying to Tell You Something | Dr. Chris Callewaert

The Science of Body Odor with Dr. Chris Callewaert What if body odor isn't something to mask… but something to understand? In this fascinating conversation, I sit down with Dr. Chris Callewaert, also known as Dr. Armpit, to explore the science behind body odor, what actually causes it, and how we can work with our biology instead of just covering it up. We dive into: • What really creates underarm odor • The role of bacteria and your unique skin microbiome • Why some people barely smell and others struggle • Natural ways to reduce odor without relying on heavy deodorants • Whether "detoxing" changes your scent • How diet, hormones, stress, and environment affect body smell We also explore something even more intriguing: disease detection through scent. Dogs have been trained to detect COVID and even certain cancers. We discuss the remarkable story of a nurse who identified her husband's Parkinson's disease years before diagnosis simply by noticing a distinct change in his scent. Different diseases can produce unique volatile compounds, and Dr. Chris explains the cutting edge research behind this. This episode goes far beyond hygiene. It's about biology, microbiomes, metabolism, and what your body might be communicating through scent. If you've ever wondered whether you really need deodorant, or if your body odor could be telling you something deeper, this one will change how you think about smell.
