    The Murder of Blair Adams

    Originally from Canada, Robert Dennis “Blair” Adams eventually found his way to a hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee. Unfortunately, this would be the last place he was seen alive. From a cancelled flight to fear of coworkers in Germany, nothing but odd circumstances surround the death of this 31-year-old man, leaving investigators baffled. While the research in this episode is thoughtfully and thoroughly done (and we still want to release it, especially with a guest) we recognize that the subject matter is dark and heartbreaking. Moving forward, we will be much more mindful about limiting humor in episodes that cover material of this magnitude. At times, I (Belle) use humor to mask nerves, but these stories represent real people and real lives, and I never want the weight of that loss to be diminished, for myself or for our listeners.     The Phantom Barber

    During the height of World War II, Pascagoula, Mississippi residents found themselves acting as key players in the war. In a time when there was so much uncertainty and hostility toward those in certain foreign countries, people in the city realized that an enemy may very well be in their own background. After specific attacks in the area, even blackout regulations were modified so police could better investigate.     Located in Falkville, Alabama in the autumn of 1973 there was once rumored to be a alien. Now known as the Alabama Metal Man or the Falkville Metal Man, this "being" was even photographed. But in the process of its discovery and attempted arrest got away ruining the life of one man.     The Kirtland Melon Heads

    Down a road in the city of Kirtland, Ohio sat a cabin that has since burnt down. That cabin has left behind lots of unanswered questions, and people are still wondering what truly happened inside those walls.
