She Built a Brand Around ONE Word — SABR

How do you turn patience into a fashion brand? Pooja Raval, founder of SABR in Dubai, built a purpose-led clothing brand around one powerful word: SABR — patience, resilience and the strength to keep moving before the results arrive. Her journey to becoming a fashion entrepreneur was anything but linear.Engineering in India. An MBA in Marketing. Experience in retail and FMCG. A move to the UK to study strategic marketing and consumer behaviour. Career uncertainty, the pressure of finding sponsorship, another move to Dubai — and eventually the decision to build something of her own. That journey became the foundation of SABR.Pooja didn't want to create another clothing label with a motivational word printed on a T-shirt. She wanted the clothing to become a reminder — especially for entrepreneurs, creators and people going through uncertain stages of life — that meaningful things take time. The conversation goes deeper into the psychology behind the brand: why modern life has made us impatient, why comparison damages self-confidence, how self-acceptance changes the way we make decisions, and why patience without action isn't really SABR.There is also a fascinating founder lesson here. Before building the brand, Pooja started speaking about the idea of SABR at networking events and watching how people reacted to the word. Those conversations helped validate something bigger than the clothing itself: almost everyone could connect SABR to a personal chapter of their life. And that is where the brand becomes interesting.A mother waiting nine months. An entrepreneur waiting for the business to work.A creator waiting for the audience to grow.Someone waiting for a career opportunity.Someone starting again after failure.Different journeys. The same need for SABR.Pooja's vision extends beyond fashion into SABR Stories, founder collaborations, limited-edition drops and a community built around people's real experiences of patience and resilience.Today, SABR describes itself as a UAE-born luxury clothing brand rooted in patience, heritage and limited releases, with the philosophy “Wear the Wait.” The brand's current identity connects patience with faith, strength, purpose, growth and legacy. This conversation will particularly resonate if you watch content around entrepreneurship, women founders, Dubai business, fashion startups, clothing brand building, founder stories, personal branding, consumer psychology, self-development or purpose-driven businesses.Because behind almost every success story is a period nobody sees:the uncertainty, the rejection, the waiting, the rebuilding, and the decision to continue anyway.Patience isn't doing nothing. It's knowing when to wait — while continuing to work. That is SABR.Discover SABR🌐 https://sabrfamily.comQuestion for you:What are you currently building, waiting for or working towards that requires SABR?Share your #SABRStory in the comments.#dubaipodcast #PoojaRaval #FounderStory #DubaiEntrepreneur #FashionEntrepreneur #BrandBuilding #PurposeDrivenBrand
