    Habang naghihintay ako ng bagong episodes ng Bridgerton, napaisip ako kung gaano ka-structured ang love doon. May courtship. May malinaw na intensyon. May “What are your intentions?” energy na hindi offensive pakinggan. Dito sa real life? May good morning, may update, may lambing… pero pag tinanong mo kung ano kayo, parang ikaw pa yung intense. Sa episode na ’to ng May Thoughts Ako, pinag-usapan natin yung pagod sa modern dating na walang pangalan. Yung may closeness pero walang definition. May effort pero walang accountability. Hindi ito tungkol sa pagpapakasal agad. Hindi rin ito about pagiging clingy. Simple lang: kung may benefits, sana may label din. Minsan mas kaya mo pang masaktan nang malinaw kaysa malito nang matagal. At habang tumatanda ka, nare-realize mo na hindi pala pressure ang clarity. Respeto lang siya sa oras at emosyon mo. Hindi dramatic. Napagod lang sa “let’s see where this goes” na hindi naman talaga gumagalaw.     KPI, or Key Performance Indicator, is basically sukatan. Ginagamit siya para malaman kung “okay ka ba” based sa output, visibility, at results at tuwing Feb 14, parang ganun din ang love at ganda. Sa episode na ’to ng May Thoughts Ako, pinag-usapan natin kung paano nagiging metrics-driven ang pagiging attractive at pagiging in a relationship tuwing Valentine’s Day. Yung subtle pressure na i-present ang love life mo, i-package ang saya mo, at i-justify na “okay naman kami” kahit wala ka namang dapat patunayan. As an accounts person, sanay ako sa KPIs, dashboards, at evaluation pero napansin ko lang na… hindi naman lahat ng relasyon kailangan ng reporting. Hindi lahat ng tahimik, red flag, at hindi lahat ng hindi visible, kulang. Medyo bitter. Medyo self-aware. At very much pang-Feb 14 kahit may jowa ka naman talaga.
