Chronicling key moments throughout Phish history, Ryan and the wide range of guests analyze standout jams and a wide range of topics. Over time, We Move Through Stormy Weather evolved outside of Phish-related interviews with conversations alongside The Fearless Flyers, Zach Brock (Snarky Puppy), and more to talk about their own musical journies. Entering a new chapter in 2026, Ryan joined forces with long-time podcast collaborators Megan Glionna (HFPod) and Justin Bruce (Vice or Virtue) to do regular recaps of ongoing Phish shows, sharing their love for the band with a wider audience.

He is a former chair and two-time vice chair of the New York Film Critics Circle, an organization dating back to 1935, and the former host of CBS Radio’s Engage: The Official Star Trek Podcast.
