I am the widow of a cross-dressing alcoholic. I survived a blood clot in my brain 2 days after my wedding and it was caused by birth control pills. It then led to a hysterectomy a few years later. I am the daughter of a convicted felon. I met my father at 30 and learned his truth. I have used laughter, love, and hope to heal. Also, drugs and therapy - I am not an idiot.

Part 2 - Giggles For Good - Lynn Logic - Women Forged in Fire - Season 3 Episode 13

Lynn Logic - Women Forged in Fire - Season 3 Episode 13 - Giggles For Good - Part 2 Grief is already lonely as f**k. Then people stop calling because they “don’t know what to say.” Well, pull up a chair. You don’t need a speech. In Part 2, comedian Jeanette Rizzy talks about losing two friends to suicide as a teenager—and what happened when the people around her wouldn’t talk about it. There were questions, guilt, and a whole lot of pain getting swept under a rug that was apparently supposed to hold everybody’s uncomfortable feelings. We talk about the people left behind. The phone calls that stop. The routines that disappear. And the difference between wanting the details of someone’s death and wanting to hear about the person who lived. Ask me how we met. Ask her what made her friend laugh. They had entire lives before the worst thing happened. I share what I miss about being married, including something as simple as having someone to eat dinner with. Jeanette remembers Flash, the dog her sister gave her after her friend died, who stayed beside her for eighteen years. Because sometimes your support system has four legs and absolutely no advice. Just company. And then we get into comparing grief. Apparently, some people think you need to submit your loss for approval before you’re allowed to hurt. I have some thoughts. You can probably guess how politely I express them. We also talk about finding a way to speak through comedy, motherhood, and the strange overlap of meaningful dates. Which somehow takes us to Elvis, my mother, celebrity birthdays, and quoting The Birdcage. Yes, we take a movie detour in the middle of a conversation about death. You’re watching Lynn Logic. This should surprise no one. To close, Sparkle Sister Trish joins us for a little joy insertion—a reminder that life can change, we can need help, and there can still be something worth laughing about in the day we actually have. There’s grief here. There’s laughter here. Neither one cancels the other out. 💜 Like, subscribe, and keep the conversation going. This channel grows by word of mouth. Part 1 - Giggles For Good - Lynn Logic - Women Forged in Fire - Season 3 Episode 13

Lynn Logic - Women Forged in Fire - Season 3 Episode 13 - Giggles For Good - Part 1 A former nun and a former monk start a family. Their daughter becomes a comedian. Honestly, what the f**k else was she supposed to do? 😂 In this episode, I’m talking with comedian Jeanette Rizzy, and we’ve got Catholic guilt, questionable relationship choices, and a woman who drew the line at surrendering her Colgate toothpaste. She gave plenty to God. He could leave her Almond Joys alone. Jeanette takes us from quoting My Cousin Vinny in the school hallways to falling in love at sixteen and giving up opportunities for someone who wasn’t treating her right. Then came the cheating, the heartbreak, and a red-light camera that apparently thought this devastating moment needed a f*****g souvenir. Imagine finding out your boyfriend is cheating and then getting a bill for your reaction. The audacity. We talk about the pieces of ourselves we give up in relationships, how long it takes to get our romantic “pickers” working, and learning that “no” is a complete sentence. Some of us learned that early. Some of us would like to file a complaint about how late that information arrived. I also talk about my own difficult week with PTSD and how easily I can recognize strength in the women sitting across from me while struggling to give myself that same credit. I survived the shit. I remember surviving the shit. And somehow I’m still annoyed with myself when the shit bothers me. Apparently, survival did not include the paperwork I thought it did. And I introduce the reason behind Giggles for Good, Jeanette’s comedy fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation, inspired by her son’s NF1 diagnosis. Raising money for children. Entertaining adults. Please do not confuse those two audiences. Come meet Jeanette. We laugh, we overshare, we take a few detours. You know where you are. 💜 Like, subscribe, and come back for Part 2. Welcome to Lynn Logic, Season 3, Episode 13: Giggles For Good, part of my Women Forged In Fire series. This week, I’m sitting down with Jeannette Rizzi—comedian, wellness entrepreneur, mother of twins, and a woman who has figured out how to make people laugh while giving them something worth listening to. Jeannette shares how losing two friends to suicide as a teenager shaped her relationship with grief, how she traded law school for comedy, and what happened when motherhood required an entirely new set of jokes. We talk about the people who disappear when you’re grieving, the importance of checking in after the calls stop, and how much it can mean to simply share a meal with someone. I also share some thoughts from a difficult week with PTSD—and how the strength of the guests who sit across from me continues to inspire me. And because this is Lynn Logic, we take a few detours: My Cousin Vinny impressions, The Birdcage, a heartbreak captured by a red-light camera, and a mother who left the convent over Colgate and Almond Joy. Boogie contributes at a moment of his choosing. Naturally. At the heart of this episode is Giggles For Good, Jeannette’s annual comedy fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Her son, Lucian, has NF1—neurofibromatosis type 1—and she’s bringing comedians and supporters together to raise money and awareness for NF research. The cause is for children. The language is absolutely not. Stay through the end for our additional conversation about Lucian’s diagnosis, Jeannette’s experience navigating his care and school support, and the funny, affectionate kid behind the cause. A little wicked. A lot of good. 🎃 Featuring Halloween-inspired artwork celebrating our favorite ’90s movie posters, plus A Splash of Joy with Sparkle Sister Trish. 🎟️ SUPPORT GIGGLES FOR GOODOctober 29, 2026 · 8 PMThe Ice House · Pasadena, CaliforniaBenefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation Tickets:https://events.leapevents.com/event/deez-nutz-10-29-26-8pm Follow Jeannette on Instagram: @jeannetterizziLook for the donation QR code featured in the episode if you’d like to contribute. 💜 CONNECT WITH LYNN LOGICYouTube: @TheRealLynnLogicFind Lynn Logic on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.Follow along on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok. ⭐ PTSD REVIEW: A Lynn Logic Mini-sode ⭐

⭐ PTSD REVIEW: A Lynn Logic Mini-sode ⭐ An unexpectedly emotional sequel to a day that can go f**k itself. Lynn stars as a woman attempting to enjoy her quieter new life when an unwelcome character from previous installments returns: fight-or-flight. The circumstances have changed. Apparently, nobody sent her emotions the memo. What follows is a candid journey through broken expectations, grief, anger, and the discovery that a present-day trigger can bring back some very old feelings of helplessness. The central mystery unfolds on camera as our leading lady asks: What am I actually reacting to? The production features atmospheric red lighting, supernatural horror as comfort viewing, and a supporting cast of people who are discussed but were absolutely not invited to the premiere. At its heart, this is a story about wanting to know yourself again after years spent surviving and caring for someone else. “I wanna know myself. I’ve missed her” delivers the emotional punch. “I have the most toe-looking toes” takes the screenplay in a direction no critic could have predicted. Come for the PTSD review. Stay for grief, honesty, a Howl’s Moving Castle shawl moment, and some deeply unnecessary foot commentary. FINAL VERDICT: A difficult day gets a thoughtful, occasionally stoned director’s commentary. The leading lady is still figuring it out—and still funny as hell. Contains discussions of PTSD, grief, loss of a spouse, family conflict, and strong language. #LynnLogic #PTSD #MentalHealth #Grief #MiniSode
