    Law School Finally Got Better! | My 2L Lessons + 3L Intentions

    Law school finally got better! After a challenging 1L year and a busy 2L year, I’m officially entering my final year of law school, and for the first time, I feel like I can actually slow down, enjoy it, and appreciate how far I’ve come. In this episode of Get Legal With Me, I’m recapping my 2L year of law school and sharing the biggest lessons I learned along the way. From balancing law school classes, writing my law review comment, starting a new legal job, dealing with personal loss and life outside of school, improving my GPA, keeping my law school scholarship, getting my comment selected for publication, and ultimately securing a post-bar job offer. 2L challenged me in a lot of ways, but it was also the year when so much of my hard work finally started to pay off. I’m also talking about my transition from 2L to 3L, the intentions I’m setting for my final year of law school, and a recent reminder that completely shifted my perspective on where I am right now. I am joined by Alex Duvin, a 2L with experience in federal judicial externships, class action and PAGA litigation, and an incoming role at a national employment and labor defense firm. Alex is also the person who first introduced me to the phrase “the art of doing nothing,” a mindset that helps her survive law school.

In this episode of Get Legal With Me, I’m joined by my law school friend Sydney Corson to talk about how friendships actually form in law school. From midterm trauma bonding over froyo to shared classes, dining hall lunches, and spontaneous law school memories, we break down why connection doesn’t come from forcing it, but from showing up. Sydney shares practical advice on how to make friends in law school, even if you feel shy, behind, or unsure where you fit in.     Mental Health in Law School: What the Numbers and Lived Experience Show

    Law school is demanding, but the impact it can have on mental health is often left out of the conversation. In this episode, I talk about mental health in law school through both the data and my own experience. I share parts of my personal story, how law school has affected me, and why so many students struggle in silence. I also highlight key statistics on depression and anxiety among law students and reflect on why this issue deserves more attention. This episode is about honesty, awareness, and reminding law students that struggling does not mean they are failing. You are not alone!
