Welcome to Messages of Love. I am Rev. Daryl. I am an ordained minister, and I am looking forward to sharing the podcast with you. I was inspired to focus only on the messages of love found in the Bible by the fictitious character Reverend Paul Ford in the novel, Pollyanna. Rev. Ford could not understand why his sermons of fire and brimstone did not seem to help his congregation in any way. With the help of Pollyanna, he learned to look for the "glad" passages in the Bible. His congregation became very responsive and more loving. In the same way, I hope these messages will help others. Always remember that God loves you. Rev. Daryl

    Holy Ground

What happens when God encounters an ordinary person in an ordinary place and calls them to participate in something extraordinary? In Exodus 3:1–15, Moses encounters God through the mysterious burning bush. God tells Moses to remove his sandals because he is standing on holy ground—and then reveals something even more important: God has seen the suffering of the Israelites, heard their cries, and knows their pain. But God's response to oppression doesn't end with compassion. God calls Moses. This episode explores the Burning Bush story through the themes of holy ground, God's presence, compassion, justice, liberation, courage, and the call to stand with people who are suffering or marginalized. The story challenges us to ask: • Where is the holy ground in our everyday lives? • Whose cries are we failing to hear? • What suffering are we being called to notice? • How does God call ordinary people to participate in extraordinary work? • What does “I AM WHO I AM” reveal about God's presence? • What happens when our prayer for justice becomes a personal calling to action? The burning bush reminds us that God is not indifferent to human suffering. God sees. God hears. God knows. And sometimes God's answer begins with someone willing to say: “Here I am.” 📖 Scripture: Exodus 3:1–15

    Love Without Borders

In this moving episode of Messages of Love with Reverend Daryl, we journey to Jacob’s well and witness one of the most boundary‑breaking encounters in Scripture: Jesus and the Samaritan woman. Reverend Daryl explores how divine love intentionally crosses racial, social, gender, and religious divides — offering dignity where the world offers judgment and living water where hearts have run dry. Through gentle storytelling and spiritual insight, this episode invites listeners to reflect on the borders in their own lives and how Christ calls us to step beyond them with courage, compassion, and grace. A message of hope, healing, and radical inclusion, Love Without Borders reminds us that God’s love is never confined — it moves toward the marginalized, the misunderstood, and the overlooked, transforming lives one encounter at a time.

Seeing Everyone Through the Image of God

Every person you meet carries a sacred truth—an unearned, unbreakable reflection of the God who created them. In this episode, we explore the profound beauty of the Imago Dei, the divine image placed within every human being. When we begin to see others through this holy lens, our interactions shift from ordinary moments to acts of worship. Drawing from Genesis 1:27, 1 Samuel 16:7, and Matthew 25:40, this message invites listeners to look beyond outward appearances and recognize the heart—the place where God’s presence dwells. You’ll discover how assuming dignity before assuming fault, speaking blessings instead of labels, and slowing down to truly notice others can transform the way you love, serve, and see the world. Whether you’re encountering someone who challenges you or someone society has forgotten, this episode reminds you that honoring the divine image in others is ultimately honoring God Himself. Compassion becomes worship. Service becomes sacred. And every person becomes a mirror reflecting the Creator’s love.
