I believe with prayer & hard work, a good life is possible. Life is not always good or easy, but having a life and living it can be Great. I am a visionary who believes in the power of prayer & manifesting what we believe in and work for. We discuss how not to sit in our trauma. LINC is about uplifting and building a better community.

I started my cleaning business 31 years ago while working part-time and going to college full-time.     This is the final episode of this series, Tales of a Teenage Mom. I share about how I gave birth to my son at home as my 3-year-old slept through it. I talk about how being their mom wasn't easy, but I was determined to give them a good life and to raise them to be good people. I express the importance of being a good role model for your children and how, even at 16, I wanted to give my baby the best life possible. I discuss the importance of being able to co-parent and showing your children love, and never speaking badly about the other parent. Being a teen parent was hard, and I never glorify or glamorize it; however, I do say if it happens, lean into your faith and find a strong support system. Give your children a chance by dealing with your own traumas; they did not ask to be here. Felicia Nicole

    In this episode, I share more about what life was like as a teen mom, and I share a few of the fun moments my children and I had. I talk about growing up with them because I was so young that we honestly grew up together. I share how they saw me make mistakes and how I fix them. I share how they're seeing a good coparenting relationship with their dads was critical. I never promote or encourage teen pregnancy because it is hard and life-changing. I do promote responsibility, honestly and the importance of a strong support system.

    In this episode, I talk in length about how hard it was for me as a teen mom. I stress that I don't want to make it seem as though life was easy. I had lots of sleepless nights and shed more tears than I knew was humanly possible, so in no way do I promote teen pregnancy or want to glamorize it.I will always be honest because it was hard and scary as hell. I was able to survive and make it through due to my support system. I also took advantage of programs that came along that I beleived would be beneficial to me as I navigated my way through teen motherhood.

    In this episode I talk about having my second child, a boy, at 19 years old. I have been told that my son has a lot of my traits. He is outspoken, loving, strong, and protective. My son gave me a different kind of love. I do not glamorize being a teen mom, but I am thankful that I have my children. My son has grown into a great man; he is respectful, kind, and takes pride in himself and our family. I tell stories about how raising a boy was different from what I was used to; he was fearless and was a boy through and through.

    In this episode, I talk about some of the struggles I faced as a teen mom in an environment where I didn't feel safe, but I had to be protective of this little human being. I speak about knowing I had to get an education because I knew that would be the way out of the situation I was in. I thank the support system of my grandparents, aunt, and friends, who encouraged and uplifted me. I thank my HS English teacher, Mr. Garret, who didn't just see a teen mom, he saw me and my potential to be great due to my love of reading. I will never glamourize being a teen mom, but for me, I will say that my daughter gave me purpose in the midst of turmoil
