From Girl to Woman: What's the secret sauce? ft Lady Brigitte

From Girl to Woman: Purpose, Identity in Christ, and Emotional Maturity I welcome my mentor and “big sister,” Lady Bridget (a pastor, lawyer, wife, and mother in Canada), and we talk about what it means to grow from girl to woman as a child of God. She describes girlhood as living under protection and authority, while womanhood is developing purpose, spiritual conviction, and launching into God’s assignment, using Esther in the Bible as an example. We discuss how maturity isn’t defined by age, marriage, or children but by knowing my worth in Christ, resisting manipulation, and not basing identity on jobs or relationship status. For single women, she advises keeping emotions in check to hear God, relying on Scripture and prayer, seeking healthy mentorship, and staying in the right circles. We also talk about filtering societal expectations and naysayers while still valuing structure, and she encourages immigrant girls who feel “different” to seek God’s definition of who they are and dream big. 00:00 Welcome and Guest Intro 00:42 How We First Met 02:22 Girl to Woman Question 03:51 Purpose and God’s Leading 07:00 Esther Bible Example 09:48 Identity and Self Worth 13:47 Relationships and Breakups 16:49 Singlehood Without Idolatry 18:59 Emotional Maturity Tools 22:20 Mentors and Right Circles 26:49 Podcast Theme There’s More 27:17 Breaking Past Limits 28:23 Society Rules and Mentors 31:21 Filter Voices and Naysayers 36:06 Build Quietly Stay Faithful 38:12 Stubbornness as Faith 40:36 Advice for Immigrant Girls 42:36 Dream Big Different Is Special 45:41 Charlie There Has To Be 48:09 Rapid Fire Fun Questions 50:39 Sunday School Memories 52:12 Closing Thanks and Signoff Chale, what do you think about this episode? Ep4: So About Ghana Pt2 (ft UncleSam and BenO)

"Chale, There Has to Be More" | Ghana at 69 — Present & Future (Part 2) We're back with Part 2 of our Ghana conversation! In this episode, we continue with UncleSam and BenO as we move from Ghana's past into its present realities and future possibilities. We talk about why there is still reason to hope — from young Ghanaians groping in the dark who just need someone to switch on the light, to the power of the diaspora reconnecting with home. BenO shares the story behind the Nkrani Initiative, a collaborative effort to crowdsource diaspora expertise to solve local problems in Ghana. UncleSam reminds us that change doesn't start with big solutions — it starts with brightening your corner. We also get into what it looks like for Christians to be actively involved in nation-building beyond the four walls of the church, and we close out with a rapid fire round featuring our favorite Ghanaians and songs that speak to the Ghana story. Key takeaways: Ghana's youth are not lazy — they're groping in the dark, waiting for someone to switch on the lightThe diaspora has historically been a spark for change in Ghana — and that's still true today"Brighten your corner" — change starts with you, your workplace, your communityChristians are called to be salt and light — not just on SundaysCharlie, there has to be more selflessness, more lights switched on, and more chances givenIf you haven't listened to Part 1, go back and catch it first!
