Hello and welcome to Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga where we again talk to yoga teachers both established and emerging.   We find out what got each of them into yoga, why they became teachers and got started, the styles of practice that interest them, who are their inspirations were and plans are for the future.   Our third series will commence on the 22nd of September with Kyra Howearth from Moon Flow Yoga coinciding with the equinox!     Send us Fan Mail Hello and welcome to the Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga podcast  Today my guest is Sarah Manning, founder of Sarah Manning Yoga, and who has practiced in Singapore, China and Australia.  Described by her students as a natural teacher, Sarah combines her intuitive yoga and meditation expertise with Chinese practices such as Qi Gong and acupuncture. She offers fertility and pre-natal workshops along with her own developed techniques such as meditation in motion for women. She has trained teachers in pre and post natal, back care and yin yoga. Sarah has already been mentioned in this podcast series as a source of inspiration to some of our previous guests.  Her storied yoga career spans three decades and to this day remains a prolific teacher and guide. Today, she joins me online from her home in Singapore.     Send us Fan Mail Hello and welcome to the Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga podcast Today my guest is Helena Wise, founder of Bluecoast Yoga, based in the small town of Bicheno on the east coast of Tasmania.  Helena has been teaching yoga for 20 years in Bicheno and also Swansea and Coles Bay.  She also provides private classes as part of the local tourism industry and has in the past supported local physios. Bluecoast also offers a monthly sound and movement session and Helena has been known to include sound bowls to enhance relaxation.     YTTY8: Muriel Devillierre - Shining Sea Yoga

Today my guest is Muriel Devillierre, founder of Shining Sea Yoga, bringing yoga for a cause and structured for kids, adults and families! Muriel has a dancing background and combines her experience with discipline, alignment and playfulness to her classes. Actually I met Muriel in 2021 during our year long diploma of yoga teaching course, that was offered by the now closed International Yoga Teachers Association or IYTA.  Even then, Muriel was able to communicate her enjoyable yoga sequences with a certain lightness allowing an immediate connection from her students. To date, her teaching has largely been with small groups, but is steadily growing offering intimate outdoor classes with a focus on making her yoga invigorate the soul. She also will start bringing Yoga to kids at after school care! Today our guest is Ruth Gent, courses director with Dru Australasia, a not for profit yoga, meditation and Ayurveda teacher training organisation. Referred to as yoga at heart, Dru is a gentle, flowing style of yoga accessible to everyone. Dru uses breath and visualisation to move subtle energy through the body and bring balance on all levels of your being. Founded in the 70s in the UK, Dru has grown to hold a substantial community impact across Europe and here in Australia, comprised of teachers and practitioners specialising in the yoga of sound, kids yoga, Ayurveda, yoga dance, philosophy and the deeper dive into spirituality, breathwork, yoga nidra and yoga therapy. Ruth has been practicing yoga for 37 years and has been involved with Dru since 2003. As the courses director she is involved in training teachers on the post graduate courses.     Send us Fan Mail Hello and welcome to the Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga podcast! In this series of interviews, we talk to yoga teachers.  We find out what got them into yoga, why they became teachers, how they got started, what styles of yoga interested them, who their inspirations were and finally what their plans are going forward.   Our last guest in this series is Julian Singh, yoga practitioner, teacher, traveller and author.  Based in Canberra, Julian has built a corporate career in finance and IT, as well as carving out his own quite unique yoga journey.  Commencing his yoga practice with his mother in 2002, Julian’s curiosity with breathing, mindfulness and discipline allowed him to deepen his practice in pranayama and concentration.  He became a certified yoga teacher in 2015 and continues to teach to this day.  He has travelled extensively, spending around three years minimally backpacking by land through India, Western Europe, and the Americas, and immersing himself in diverse cultures and experiences Julian has completed a number of Ironman events, ultra-trail runs, and long distance cycling such as from Manhattan to Montauk!  On top of all that, Julian has a passion for Sanskrit which led him to study the language to a university standard and has recently published his own book  “Sanskrit in Modern Yoga”, combining ancient Vedic philosophy to modern yoga practices and is available now.
