Ep 7 | Are you building on sand or on The Rock? | The Mathew 7 Principle you shouldn't ignore

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself: Am I building on the Rock or on the sand? As children of God, sometimes we can gloss over that question…because we are in Him. But even though we are in Christ, we have to pay attention to how Jesus wants us to live in Him. Jesus shares a powerful principle that we believers need to understand. He teaches that it’s not enough to simply hear His Word— but, we have to put it into practice. We need to do His Word so that we can stand firm, no matter what comes our way. In this Bible study, we’ll take a closer look at what Jesus meant by the wise man and the foolish man who built their houses, why obedience to His teachings matters so deeply, and how this applies to your personal growth, character, faith, business and all the work God has called you to do. This leads us to a really important realisation: We need to invest in knowing the principles that Jesus tells us in His Word. I’ll also share practical ways to go about studying the teachings of Jesus so that we can really start taking action on the Word. Scripture References Matthew 7:24–27 Matthew 6:33 💛 If this episode encouraged you, I’d love for you to leave a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Join the Glory to Glory in Christ Newsletter. Ep 5 | What We Got Wrong About Personal Development (And the understanding makes everything clear!)

Hey Neighbour! We’re back again, and this week we’re diving into a really important subject: personal development, and becoming the best version of ourselves that God has called us to be. But here’s the thing, what if we’ve misunderstood something along the way? Somehow, we’ve come to believe that we need to go and become the best version of ourselves to make God proud by being excellent stewards of what He has given us and called us to. But the key word here is “go.” And if you imagine embarking on a journey toward some kind of destination, then sister-girl, we need to talk. I’m going to share with you why thinking of the best version of you that God has called you to be as somewhere else you must embark on a journey to is actually not the right way to think about it. We’ll talk about how Jesus is the ultimate destination, and in Him is everything, including the best version of you that He has called you to be. I’m so excited to share this with you, and I pray that it blesses, inspires, and encourages you. But most importantly, I pray it helps you see why it’s so important to keep Jesus as your focus. ✨❤️ Key Takeaways Girl, you’ve already found what you were looking for. Praise the Lord!! 🙌 The day you received Jesus, you arrived at the ultimate destination; there’s nothing more to reach for outside of Him; everything is all IN HIM. Everything you could ever need is already in Christ. Personal growth isn’t a trophy you bring back to God; it happens from within Him, by focusing on Him, obeying Him and hearkening to His Word - It’s a movement from Glory to Glory in Him! The focus shifts from “me” to “Him.” Ma’am, we are one with Christ! ❤️ Striving to build a separate “best version of self” misses the point, even when it is from a pure heart of wanting to make God proud. Growth is a byproduct of focusing on Jesus and obeying Him. Growth is continuous, not a finish line. Moving “from Glory to Glory” means constantly developing within Christ, and something about God is that HE is a God of abundance; His Glory is so abundant, and we are ever-growing in Him. And so the best version of ourselves is not a single destination….It is the version of us that is forever in His Presence, hearkening to His Word and moving from Glory to Glory! Abiding in Christ is what makes growth possible. It’s all about Jesus, always has been, always will be.✨ Scriptures Referenced John 1 : 16 – “And of his fullness have we all received, and grace for grace.” Acts 17 : 28 – “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” John 15 : 5 – “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” Join the Glory to Glory in Christ Newletter🩷 : https://substack.com/@makanakadonna Connect with me on Substack 💌 : https://substack.com/@makanakadonna Related Episodes Episode 4: Small Bursts of 100% | Biblical Principles in practice: Being Faithful with little to be Faithful with Much Episode 3: Being Faithful with Little: The Principle That Unlocks Real Progress Keywords: Christian personal development, Glory to Glory, being faithful with little, Christian productivity, Holy Spirit guidance, excellence in Christianity, Christian goal setting, Faith, Christian women podcast, growing in Christ, spiritual Growth, Christian motivation, doing the Word of God, Entrepreneurship, Christian women in Business, God-led Business, Faith-fuelled. Ep 4 | Small Bursts of 100% | Biblical Principles in practice: Being Faithful with little to be Faithful with Much

In today’s episode, we get practical about the principles that Jesus teaches us. We’re talking Faithfulness, Excellence, and serving God with all our hearts. But here’s the thing, Ladies, it’s not all about one grand moment…. It’s about faithfulness, each step of the way, and with each small part of the big things. Let’s talk about it!✨ I’ll be sharing with you a very simple, practical approach that the Holy Spirit taught me to implement the principle of being faithful with little (Luke 16:10) and what it looks like to apply this in your everyday life. Here’s a clue: "Small bursts of 100%." - but Sister Girl, you’ll have to listen to the podcast to know more! 🩷 In this episode, we'll discuss: What "small bursts of 100%" means and why it's a game-changer for Christian productivity and goal setting The importance of breaking down big, overwhelming goals into faithful, achievable steps Why excellence is the nature of God and how Daniel 6:3 proves what an excellent spirit can do for your life ( mmm this is one of my favourite points!) The difference between excellence according to God and toxic productivity, and why the distinction matters How Colossians 3:23-24 reframes what giving 100% really means as a child of God Why developing a relationship with the Holy Spirit is the KEY and Essential to walking in excellence Key Scriptures Referenced: Luke 16:10 - Faithfulness with little James 1:22 - Be doers of the Word Colossians 3:23-24 - Working as unto the Lord Daniel 6:3 - The excellent spirit of Daniel Connect with me on Substack 💌https://substack.com/@makanakadonna Keywords:  Christian personal development, Glory to Glory, being faithful with little, Christian productivity, Holy Spirit guidance, excellence in Christianity, Luke 16:10, Christian goal setting, Faith, Christian women podcast, growing in Christ, spiritual Growth, Christian motivation, doing the Word of God This is a public episode. Ep 2 | If its a GOD thing, it has to be done GOD'S way - Surrendering, Trusting and Partnering with Him.

Are you an ambitious go-getter Christian woman who absolutely loves God and genuinely wants to make god proud in everything that you do? Are you working on the goals, the dreams or the vision that God has given you, but also wondering if you're doing it with God or just for God? - because there's a difference. And it changes everything. In this episode, we're diving into one of the most important shifts a Christian go-getter can make: moving from simply identifying God's will to fully surrendering to it, partnering with Him in it, and letting Him build it - His way. Because here's the truth: God doesn't just want to hand you a vision and watch you run with it. He wants to be involved in every single step. He wants to be the Builder, the Maker, and the Author of your dreams, your goals, and your achievements. In this episode, we explore 3 key scriptures that speak to: 1. Surrendering your will and desires to God, so that you can be truly aligned with what He has for you, not just what you've planned for yourself. 2. Why doing things for God without God actively leading you amount to nothing, and what the Bible says about the futility of building outside of His guidance. 3. The importance of partnering with God and understanding why He must be the Builder and Maker of absolutely everything in your life, including your dreams, ambitions, and achievements. If you want to stop striving in your own strength and start moving in true alignment with God, this is your reminder that His way is always the best way. I pray that this inspires and encourages you.
