20 | Growing Closer to God Doesn't Happen By Chance

Many of us assume that because we've been Christians for a long time, attend church regularly, or serve in ministry, we'll naturally grow closer to God., but relationships don't deepen by accident - they grow through intentional connection.  In this episode, Felita explores why spiritual intimacy requires more than simply knowing about God. Drawing on James 4:8, she unpacks the difference between information and relationship, why trust grows through experience, and how the Holy Spirit helps us draw nearer to Jesus every day.  You'll be encouraged to let go of perfection, stop striving, and focus on one simple step that creates space for a deeper relationship with God. In This Episode Why relationships don't grow automaticallyThe difference between knowing about God and knowing Him personallyHow trust is built through experienceThe role of the Holy Spirit in our spiritual growthWhy we should ask for the Holy Spirit dailySimple ways to connect with God in everyday lifeA practical challenge to help you draw nearer to Him this weekKey Scriptures James 4:8Luke 11:132 Corinthians 3:18 Reflection Question What is one way I can intentionally invest in my relationship with God this week, and how can I invite the Holy Spirit to help me do it? Remember: growing closer to God isn't about trying harder - it's about making space to respond to His invitation and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you into a deeper relationship with Jesus. https://linktr.ee/felitasplace

18 | Christian Burnout Starts Long Before You Quit

Have you ever found yourself serving God… while quietly running on empty? In this episode of Renewed & Radiant, Felita shares part of the opening message she presented at the annual Community Champions conference - a gathering focused on equipping and encouraging people who serve in their churches, communities, ministries, and everyday lives. This conversation explores the difference between serving from overflow versus living in overdraft, and why so many caring, faith-filled people are carrying more than God ever asked them to carry. You’ll hear honest reflections about: • Christian burnout and exhaustion • striving versus surrender • the hidden cost of always “pushing through” • nervous system overwhelm and spiritual fatigue • why rest is not weakness • learning to partner with God instead of performing for Him Felita also shares a powerful reframe around the word available: We “avail” ourselves… and God is “able.” God never asked us to be the source but to stay connected to Him, the only true source. Anchor Scripture Isaiah 58:11 NKJV “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” If this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who may need the reminder too. 16 | Why You Feel Close to God in Some Moments, but Distant in Others (And How to Change That)

You’ve learned how to pause, how to settle, how to invite God into the moment, but what happens after that moment passes? It’s easy to find yourself going back to doing life on your own again and only reaching for God when things feel hard…but drifting into independence in between.  In this episode, we gently explore the shift from: meeting God in moments ... to walking with Him in relationship because you weren’t created to only need God when life feels overwhelming, you were created to walk with Him  Enoch walked with God for 300 years, not just occasionally, not just in difficult seasons, but consistently and as he walked with God, he began to reflect Him.  That same closeness…that same steadiness…that same “God glow”…is available to you too  What we explore in this episode: Why God can feel close in the hard moments ... but distant in everyday lifeThe difference between calling on God and walking with HimWhat intimacy with Christ actually looks like in real lifeHow relationship with God grows over timeWhy you don't need to perform to be close to HimWhat intimacy with God really looks like is inviting Him into every moment Talking to Him throughout your day (Prayer is simply talking to God as you would to your best frient) Sharing your thoughts and feelings Walking with Him… moment by moment Romans 12:12 (NKJV) “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer” This week’s gentle invitation: Invite God into your day, into the small moments, into the ordinary, into your everyday. If this spoke to you: Like, follow and share so it can bless others far and wide I’d love to hear from you so if you’ve got a minute, be sure to drop a comment Closing Reminder: You don’t have to wait for “those” moments to reach for God, you can walk with Him… in every moment.
