LINDSAY CLANCY: WHO GETS MERCY WHEN A MOTHER KILLS?

Lindsey Clancy admitted to killing her three children. Her trial ended without a verdict after 11 jurors reportedly believed she should be found not criminally responsible because of mental illness. Now women across the country are rallying around her—seeing a mother failed by the mental-health system rather than simply a defendant accused of an unthinkable crime. But D.L. Hughley asks the question America cannot keep avoiding: Would a Black mother receive this same compassion? Latarsha Sanders, a Black Massachusetts mother with documented paranoia and schizophrenia, was convicted of killing her two sons and sentenced to two life terms without parole. Her convictions were later overturned after the state’s highest court ruled that crucial mental-health records had been wrongly withheld from her jury. Remarkably, both cases came before the same judge. This is not about excusing either tragedy. Five children are dead, and their lives cannot disappear beneath sympathy for the adults. This is about whether race influences which mothers are viewed as sick, which are branded monsters, and whose mental illness the justice system takes seriously. D.L. also weighs in on Stephen A. Smith’s explosive fallout after appearing on Jemele Hill and Cari Champion’s podcast. Stephen built a career challenging everyone else—but when Black women challenged him, he accused them of mishandling the interview and demanded the unedited footage. You can’t start the fire and then file an insurance claim. Finally, as America marks 25 years since September 11, D.L. honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the survivors and families still living with the consequences. Newly released records also raise painful questions about what officials knew concerning the toxic air around Ground Zero—and why the truth took decades to surface. Who receives compassion? Who receives accountability? And whose suffering does America decide matters? Watch, share, and subscribe to Uncertain with D.L. Hughley—because criticism isn’t persecution, compassion shouldn’t depend on color, and remembrance without truth is incomplete. New episodes weekly. PROJECT 2025 IS HERE—AND TRUMP VOTERS ARE LOSING HEALTHCARE!

In Episode 41 of Uncertain, D.L. Hughley connects the dots between Medicaid cuts threatening working families, Louisiana criminalizing homelessness, attacks on public education, and politicians using culture wars to distract voters from policies hurting their own communities. This isn’t just politics. It’s healthcare disappearing, poverty becoming a crime, and vulnerable Americans paying the price while the powerful call it “reform.” Was Project 2025 a warning—or the blueprint America is now living through? DL Hughley Exposes the Business of Attacking Black Women

Why has attacking Black women become everybody’s favorite pastime? Laura Loomer launched a racist tirade against Angie Nixon, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and other powerful Black women. Brandon Tatum went after Michelle Obama’s appearance—and dragged DL Hughley’s wife into it. Different messengers. Same tired target. DL breaks down the ugly pattern behind these attacks: Black women are mocked when they speak, degraded when they lead and judged when they refuse to make themselves smaller. This isn’t political debate. It’s racism, misogyny and manufactured outrage dressed up as “free speech”—because disrespecting Black women still generates clicks, influence and money. DL also examines the tragic death of Haitian college student Pierre Damas Bel after he was forced to wear an ICE ankle monitor, the disturbing string of suspicious hanging deaths across America, Ryan Clark turning an ESPN exit into a major Netflix win—and Hunter Biden’s latest interview that leaves one unavoidable question: What was in that pipe? This episode is fearless, personal, and unapologetic. TARGET, KEEP YOUR APOLOGY!

Black women warned Target. We organized. We boycotted. We took our money elsewhere. Target still refused to hear us—and now the same company that gutted DEI somehow approved a children’s costume evoking blackface and minstrel imagery. That wasn’t one person’s “mistake.” That costume passed through design, marketing, photography, merchandising, legal and corporate approval—and apparently nobody in the room had the courage or cultural awareness to say, “What the hell is this?” Target says it’s sorry. Viola Davis isn’t accepting the apology—and DL Hughley isn’t buying it either. Because when Black women tell a corporation it has abandoned us, why does it take public humiliation before anybody pays attention? DL also goes in on Hakeem Jeffries’ secret meeting with Jared Kushner, Black and Brown communities abandoned without power, America’s reckless trade war with Canada, dangerous food recalls and surveillance cameras that always seem to see Black people—but never protect us. This episode asks one brutal question: How many times must Black people prove we matter before America starts acting like it? Watch Episode 39 of UNCERTAIN with DL Hughley. Subscribe, share and join the conversation—because Target may not be listening, but we’re going to make damn sure they hear us. #DLHughley #UncertainPodcast #TargetBoycott #BlackWomen #DEI New episodes weekly. BRANDON TATUM CAME FOR MICHELLE OBAMA—DL HUGHLEY SMOKED HIM!

Brandon Tatum called Michelle Obama ugly—and DL Hughley is about to give him all the smoke and show him what ugly really looks like: desperation, hypocrisy, and begging for white approval in public. In Episode 38 of Uncertain, DL tears into Tatum’s obsession with attacking Black people for applause, then turns to Stephen A. Smith, who says his critics still haven’t produced the “receipts.” Oh, the receipts exist. The question is whether Stephen A. is finally ready to read them. But the outrage machine doesn’t stop there. MAGA wants America terrified of transgender athletes while families can’t afford groceries, healthcare or damn near a hot dog. Enes Kanter Freedom gets thrown out of a WNBA game after provoking Natasha Cloud—and somehow a man with a reported $500,000 bounty on his head decided this was the fight worth having. Then Zohran Mamdani funds children, protects workers, goes after bad landlords and invests in struggling communities—leaving DL to ask the question Christian politicians won’t like: Why is a Muslim mayor doing a better job of following Jesus than they are? Plus, Abdul El-Sayed confronts Jesse Watters over manufactured culture wars, Hunter Biden sounds off on war, and DL exposes the oldest political hustle in America: keep people angry about imaginary threats so they never notice who is picking their pockets. This episode is ruthless, hilarious and guaranteed to offend exactly the right people. HEY TRUMP VOTERS… HAPPY NOW?

The military is dealing with turmoil. ICE keeps pushing the limits. The DOJ is facing questions over wrongful investigations. Public-health concerns are resurfacing. Thousands of Ethiopians could lose deportation protections. And overseas, Iran and the Strait of Hormuz are adding another potentially explosive problem to the pile. This week on UNCERTAIN, DL Hughley looks at the growing trail of Trump administration controversies and asks a simple question: At what point does “winning” start looking a whole lot like losing? Trump sold America strength, order and control. DL takes a hard look at what America actually got—and why some of the people who bought into the promise may now be living with the consequences. And DL speaks about the possibility of sitting down with Killer Mike to have a bigger conversation about Black America: Can we disagree politically without questioning whether the other person loves our people? Trump promised strength. America got chaos. And DL has receipts. Watch UNCERTAIN with DL Hughley now, subscribe, and sound off below: Is this what Trump voters signed up for? New episodes weekly. Lindsey Graham Did More for Who?

This week on Uncertain, DL Hughley opens the mailbag — and then closes the beaches. After the death of Nolan Wells on Horn Island and a summer of Black men turning up in trees and rivers with "no foul play suspected," DL makes the case nobody wants to say out loud: part of Jim Crow had a point. Marriage? Fine. Family reunions? Fine. But no swimming, no camping, no hiking — because we never lose white people, and there’s a reason for that. From the mother who had to track down her own son’s phone, to officials who "don’t want to be rushed," DL, Jasmine and Austin ask why there’s never a sense of urgency when Black children don’t come home. Then it’s ICE killing a man in Maine who wasn’t even the target of the warrant — no body cams, no accountability, and a batting average that would get anybody else fired; Amy Coney Barrett wanting a bulletproof vest in the country her Court armed ("you made guns easier to buy than Sudafed"); Mitch McConnell missing so long DL can’t tell if he’s dead or alive — with the finest insurance in the world, the kind he spent his career denying you; and Lindsey Graham’s eulogy problem: to eulogize means to speak well of — of what? DL closes with the World Cup, why every great team in Europe is stocked with the descendants of the colonized, why the road to the World Cup final runs through the Blackest city in America, and a shanked golf shot hit on purpose — for Charlie’s boy, on the eighth anniversary of his old man’s passing.
