    What Happens In A Somatic Therapy Session?

    Somatic Therapy is a form of therapeutic work that connects directly with the body, utilising body awareness, breath and movement to catalyse the body’s innate capacity for healing and resolution of stuck states. Whether we’re conscious of it or not, our body stores the memory of all of our experiences. Whether positive or on not, these will show up in various ways - as obstacles when we’re trying to move forward, states of emotional distress, disconnect, stress and trauma, or conversely; powerful resource. Until addressed on the level of the body, some things can feel impossible to overcome. The real power of this work is that it offers the possibility for permanent healing of limiting factors by addressing them at their root, allowing life to effortlessly repattern itself into a different form. Mentally, emotionally, psychologically and physically - resulting in utterly changed material circumstances. For those who are new to this kind of work, it can feel a little unfamiliar. In this audio I give an overview of exactly what’s involved, how a typical session might look, and answer some of the common questions that come up.
