Ep 39 Release & Recieve Flow

The flow starts at 15 minute mark. Come back to it anytime you want to do it again. What if you could shake off what you're carrying... and then gather up all the goodness waiting around you? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I'm sharing a practice called the Release & Receive Flow. This one is a little different from my usual episodes. It's five movements, about three minutes each, done in order. First I walk you through each position, and then we do the whole flow together. We start by tapping to wake the body up to the space it's in. Then we shake off whatever we're ready to release, whether it comes out angry, anxious, or just plain fun. From there we cradle and rock ourselves into safety, open up into a wide, vulnerable pose, and finish by gently tapping in all the goodness that's around us. You can even bring an intention into that last part. I go through phases where I do this almost every day, whether I feel like I need it or not. That's kind of the point. You don't have to wait until you're wrapped up in something to let it go. --- Each week I add to this practice A new exercise to be in your goodness To test drive them and create your practice Grab your own list here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j53yXVYVmXnz3PHfV3IOPwe_SwLA2ePOWbqJGVc0fWM/edit?usp=sharing --- Enhance it with your Human Design How You’re Designed to Show Up A free Human Design experience https://www.triciaedwards.com/designed-to-show-up Substack https://substack.com/@triciaedwards1 Get full access to Being Inside>Out with Tricia Edwards at triciaedwards1.substack.com/subscribe

Ep 38 I Just Love It!

When was the last time you said I love it... and stopped right there? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing a practice called I Just Love It! So many of us have been trained to justify everything. In school, in business, in our homes, we list the pros and cons, explain the why, and name the benefits. Even the things we love most come with a defense attached. This practice is about letting I love it be the whole answer, and noticing how much lighter it feels when you stop explaining. I share how I spent just under $2,000 on a year-long Human Design program early in my business, and how that first year I tried so hard to prove it was worth it. The second year I renewed simply because I loved it. And that’s when it found its way into my business on its own, through a conversation I never could have planned. I also share how your Human Design type can help you catch your own I love it, plus a little about yarn, and why I don’t need to tell you the story behind that one either. Inside The Red Thread Lab, we’re in our Blooming Where You Are cycle, using the Blooming Oracle Spread to notice everything that’s growing for us right now. If you’d love to bloom with us, come join us. Ep 37 Out & About

You already know the feeling of I just need to get out of here. What if you went out on purpose, long before you needed to? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing a practice called Out & About. Most of us learned to walk away when things get tense. Step out for a coffee, take a lap, go to separate rooms. It works. Out & About is something I practice on ordinary days too, by adding a little unpredictability to the places I already go. When everything runs on the same loop, it gets harder to be OK with not knowing, and the not knowing is exactly where our leaps happen. I share the year and a half I spent waiting to find out when my job would end, and the book on uncertainty that nudged me to mix things up. For five months I drove to work a different way every day, sometimes staying in the right lane the whole way and letting everyone in. I discovered corners of my city I never knew were there, and quietly trained myself for the beautiful unknown of building my own business. I also share how your Human Design definition, from single definition to a triple split like mine, can show you how much variety your system might be craving. Books by Price Pritchett I mentioned: Hacking Uncertainty: A Counterintuitive Code for Resilience During Disruption and Change You2: A High Velocity Formula for Multiplying Your Personal Effectiveness in Quantum Leaps --- Each week I add to this practice A new exercise to be in your goodness To test drive them and create your practice Grab your own list here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j53yXVYVmXnz3PHfV3IOPwe_SwLA2ePOWbqJGVc0fWM/edit?usp=sharing --- Enhance it with your Human Design How You’re Designed to Show Up A free Human Design experience https://www.triciaedwards.com/designed-to-show-up Substack https://substack.com/@triciaedwards1 Get full access to Being Inside>Out with Tricia Edwards at triciaedwards1.substack.com/subscribe

    Ep 36 Thumb Circles

You know that moment when there’s so much noise in your head you can’t even think yourself into what to do about it? This practice is for that moment. In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing a practice called Thumb Circles. I think of this one like turning the dial on a radio. You’re stuck on a station playing something you can’t stand the worry, the loop, the noise that just won’t stop. The thumb circles are the turning of that dial. For a moment it sounds like static. Then you land somewhere new. This isn’t a gentle practice. I have plenty of those and I love them. But sometimes the noise is so loud that gentle isn’t going to cut it. Sometimes you need something abrupt or something that can interrupt what’s happening in an instant so you can get to the practices that actually carry you to feeling grounded. I share a story about my mind fixating on parking before picking up my son from school. Not something big. Not something important. Just a loop my mind decided to run anyway. I did the thumb circles before I left and again when I got there. Each time it helped. And this is what I always want to say about this practice. It’s not about removing the pattern. Some of these patterns are deep and familiar and they will come back. But removing the fear of having them changes your entire relationship with it. That is always enough. We do the practice together in this episode.

    Ep 35 Inner Goodness Meditation

When you feel stuck the last thing your mind wants to do is play. But that’s exactly what gets you unstuck. In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing a practice called Imagination Expansion. This one is about using your imagination to stretch open a problem — not to solve it, but to expand your view so the next step has room to show up. Thirty seconds. A minute. Whatever feels right. And the more fantastical and silly you make it the better it tends to work. I share the story of getting stuck on cover art for my Blooming Where You Are article. AI wasn’t giving me anything I loved. Time pressure was real. I felt caught between publishing and waiting for the right image. So I closed my eyes for about 30 seconds and imagined picking up my phone, feeling it in my hand, punching in my code because Face ID didn’t work again, and seeing a tiny notification that said: you have a memory. I didn’t solve anything in those 30 seconds. But when I opened my eyes and let it go, something flooded in a printmaking technique I had taught in July 2022, the exact piece I had made to demonstrate it, the memory arriving completely without effort. That was my image. And the fact that I made it myself had me fall even more in love with it. I also want to be clear about something: imagination does not necessarily mean visualization. My determination in Human Design is through touch so my imagination moves through sensation and body experience more than pictures. Yours might be completely different. This practice works with whatever your imagination naturally brings. We also do one together in this episode live, in real time, with something I’m actually sitting with the day I’m recording. Here’s the artwork and article I mention in the audio. https://triciaedwards1.substack.com/p/when-it-feels-like-youre-not-making --- Here’s the artwork and article I mention in the audio.

    Ep 33 Scene Replay

What if you could go back to a moment that didn't go the way you wanted… and replay it as the person you're becoming? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I'm sharing a practice called Scene Replay. This one is about taking a moment that already happened and replaying it as your future self. The version of you who already has the thing you're working toward. Not to fix what went wrong or pretend things were different. Just to see what else was possible. Because when you start seeing other possibilities in the past, you start showing up differently in the present. I share how I use this at least once a week in my business and in my personal life. My goal is a purple badge on Substack and when I let I don't have it yet and I don't know how I'm going to get there be the thing steering the ship, I show up in that energy. So I replay moments as the woman who already has it. What would she have done? How would people have responded to her? How does the whole scene feel when she's in it? I also use this in my relationship. There are moments I've anticipated a hard response from my husband and realized I was basing it on a handful of times that aren't actually the norm. So I go back to those moments and replay them with the fuller truth in mind. Not to be delusional about what happened. Just to stop letting a few moments set the precedent for how I show up every time after. It can be a quick micro moment or a longer journal session. Most of the time for me it's something small. One little element of a scene replayed as the future self. That's enough to start retraining how you see what's possible.--- Each week I add to this practice A new exercise to be in your goodness To test drive them and create your practice Grab your own list here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j53yXVYVmXnz3PHfV3IOPwe_SwLA2ePOWbqJGVc0fWM/edit?usp=sharing --- Enhance it with your Human Design How You’re Designed to Show Up A free Human Design experience https://www.triciaedwards.com/designed-to-show-up Substack https://substack.com/@triciaedwards1 Get full access to Being Inside>Out with Tricia Edwards at triciaedwards1.substack.com/subscribe

    Ep 32 Shimmy Shimmy Shake

Your body might be holding something right now, and you might not even know it yet. This practice shakes it out. In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing one of my most-reached-for practices: Shimmy Shimmy Shake. Tension, worry, stress, lack of confidence, fear… your body holds all of it somewhere. You might recognize it as an icky feeling. Or you might have negative thinking. But if you tune into your muscles, you’ll find they are holding it physically too. Tightening, flexing, bracing. Sometimes so subtly you’ve stopped noticing. This practice is simple. Shake your body until you feel like you don’t want to shake anymore. What you’re looking for is that release like stepping into air conditioning on a hot day. That exhale of oh, I can relax now. When that comes, you’re done. And for me the shake almost always turns into a shimmy, which turns into something that feels like dancing. And that’s the whole point because dancing is fun. Fun is the point. I share how this one and EP 2 Go Slow Mo are the two I reach for most in ordinary daily life and how this became a practice my son and I do together. He shakes mostly with just his head, which I find completely hilarious. I also include a Human Design type layer so you can find the most natural way to enter the practice for how you’re designed. This one is easy to do, no skill required. And it only takes a minute.
