    The 5 Stages of Leadership

    Why do we call it The Leader's Furnace? Because leadership isn't a position you arrive at. It's a process of being tested, challenged, refined, and ultimately forged into someone capable of carrying more. In Episode 16, Rick and Edy introduce the 5 stages of the train—a framework for understanding where people are in their leadership journey and what it takes to keep moving forward. Picture your organization as a train. At the back are people who are along for the ride. As you move toward the front, the mindset changes. Ownership increases. Responsibility increases. Initiative increases. And eventually, you reach the engine. That's where roughly 5% of the team operates—the people who don't need to be constantly pushed, reminded, or told what comes next.
